Jill - We don't have your address- email and home. jodi- we don't have your home address if you want to email it to us.
Which route do we want to do on the Mariner? The eastern with 3ports 3 sea days or the western with 4 ports and 2 sea days? When I know this, I can see what kind of pricing we can get on a few different sailings- looks like the least expensive for a cat. L is about 562 plus insurance and maybe tax? will confirm that later- again, the oct 15 cruise addicts group cruise prices may be a little less- will confirm that as well- Did Melissa say her travel agent had some good prices? We can compare all to get the best prices so more of us can make the 2nd Annual Island Hoppers hop the Mariner!
More later

Have a great hump day!!! IF you want to check out the group cruise prices- look under group cruises on this site for oct 15 Mariner .

Welcome home Kerri and Todd- glad you had a safe return- we love our stubby holders!
I just submitted a request for a quote on this site in the cruise compete section- they will hopefully give us prices for inside, outside, and balcony rooms per my request for the oct 2 sailing of mariner- let them know we were looking for the best price on a sept or oct mariner sailing - will see what they come back with! Fingers crossed !!!!

Glad your back safe Kerri & Todd.
Tamra once you get that quote let me know. I will then in turn ask my agent what she can do for us for the same dates and itinerary.
Does anyone have a month or date in mind for Gatlinburg? How do you all feel about April.? first weekend? Maybe we could coordinate it with the kids school vacations??? Once I know when you all might like to go and how many rooms we would need,I can get a price. Off course off season is cheaper. I was thinking maybe Thurday to checkout on Monday? Would everyone be driving there?
Tamra,I just made that Rotel dip for this weekend. My in-laws are coming down and my daughter and we are going to the "Cotton Pickin Fair" Its a big craft& Antique fair. We'll play cards and watch the Michigan game.

We don't have any vacation days off school in April- bummer- would have to see if Brad would let us take kids out of school for maybe Thurs. , Fri., and Mon. ? we would drive up- guessing 7-9 hrs but will check on that for sure.
About the cruise quotes- this may get confusing- have gotten 3 quotes from 3 agencies - I asked about getting 4 cabins- 1 inside, 2 ocean view, and 1 balcony (just so we could see what the different prices were ) 2 of the agencies quoted a total price with no other info- as in 5,818.80 for the above mentioned 4 cabins/categories double occupancy and for me to call them for specifics- hope I explained that o.k. - the other agency that gave a total price - it was 6584.50 - call for specifics
the 3rd agency gave me rates for both quad and double occupancy in the 3 cat.'s and are as follows:
Cat L- inside - quad- 1 & 2 pay 739.85 and 3 &4 pay 340.85
Cat Q- inside- double occ.- 590.85 each
Cat I- ocean view- 1 &2 pay 739.85 double occ and quad- and 3 &4 pay 340.85
Gave no cat for quad balcony- price 920.85 for 1 &2 and 3 &4 pay 340.85
Cat. E2- balcony double occ pays 838.85 each
these prices include ALL fees but not insurance or airfare- if get travel guard on our own, usually runs about 45 per person.
Will keep you updated as to more prices- will also go to a couple of websites to compare with what they offer and will call the one agency that gave no spec's as her price was same as guy who gave spec's on double occ comp.
more later
tamra
p.s. yes, the cat.L inside was same price as cat I outside for pax 1 and 2- go figure

Gatlinburg - We would probably take a Friday and Monday off work/school - stay 3 nights. Were driving - I think someone said 7-8 hours - I need to check... The only month that I can not go is June - we have a family vacation scheduled and I am standing up in my girlfriends wedding.

Cruise - I would prefer the Western cruise (I know its 4 ports/2 sea days) I have never been to any of those islands. But, I am up for either.

Welcome back Todd and Kerri!!

Have a great day!!

I haven't heard back yet on any prices from my TA. I'll let you know as soon as she replies. Tamra have you mentioned to Brad about a weekend in April? So far it seems good for Cheryl, Michelle but I'm sure we are all flexible if April is not good for you.
Gosh I wish it was Friday. I am ready for the weekend!!!!!!

Melissa- Brad was gone til last night on business. As he was coming in, I was leaving to go play league tennis- both my night and day leagues play on wed. so yesterday I played like 5 1/2 hours- am gonna be sore today.................................... Will ask him about April for Gatlinburg when he has a minute- He has Bank of America guys coming in from Memphis today and Friday and is having dinner with them tonight .
How far is Gatlinburg from Atlanta? still need to ask how far from here. When are everyone's spring breaks? Are those of you with kids still planning on bringing them? April should be o.k.
Is everyone fine with doing the Western Route on the Mariner? That is fine with us- Possible dates are Sept 11 and 25, Oct 9 and 23, Nov 6. Lowest price date is oct 23, then sept 25 and oct 9 are same price, and last is sept 11th- we are only talking 50- 60 more per person for pax 1 and 2 - looks like all 3rd and 4th in a cabin pay bet. 320 and 340 per person. The prices I posted above should still be about what we would have to pay for the Western route on dates in this post. It may be safer hurricane wise to think about going in Oct. , sept 25 may be ok too. what ever you all decide works for us. Have any of you looked at stateroom categories to see which ones you are interested in pricing? May be a good idea so you'll know what you are getting- Like I was looking at Cat I ocean view thinking window- NOT............... cat I is deck 2 so has to be port hole- cat H is ocean view and for about 20 more per person, you are on deck 6,7, or 9 and get a window - so just check out what is offered and price difference to make sure you end up with something you will be happy with !!!!!
Have a great Thursday everyone!!!!!!
Check in later

Ally and I are good to go for the first week of April for Gatlinburg. David will be in school so he will not be coming with us. Are we electing Melissa to be the Gatlinburg coordinator for us?

Once we get the specific date and the number of couples w/ children, we can chose the right size cabin and Melissa can book the cabin.

We can make a schedule of meals and each family would be responsible for feeding everyone dinner that night. I figure lunch will be on our own since we will be hiking, fishing, sight-seeing, etc...Breakfast will be easy since we would probably make mass quantities of eggs, pancakes, cereal or whatever.

Ally and I are very much interested in looking for some good day-hike locations to waterfalls, lakes, mountains etc...I'll probably bring some fishing gear and drown some worms on one day.

Melissa, what sights are there to see in Gatlinburg?

I will do the research on different cabins and price rages but will need a definitive answer on the total of couples and bedrooms we will need. This will help in you all deciding on which cabin also. Also how many days you all are interested in? Is check in Thursday check out Monday to much? or check out Sunday?
As far as sight seeing there is tons to do. I can do more research on this to for hiking trails or best fishing, Rich. Driving to the National Park is a must. There is also a Gondola that goes way up a mountian in town. Shopping!!! I could go on and on!

I vote for Melissa as the Head Entertainment Coordinator for this trip to Gatlinburg. Hey Rich, so glad you and Ally are going to make it to the Gatlinburg AOS Ho-Down Reunion!!!!! :) :) :)
We are going to have a blast guys!! Can't wait to see what each family will cook!!! That is going to be a really interesting part of this trip. For anyone who liked the boiled peanuts........there will be plenty of them in Gatlinburg. All different kinds and they will be hot this time!!!!
Stan and I are definetly into the fishing thing so Rich we may join you on that adventure. I have got all my pic's ready to mail......hopefully ya'll should have some of these by the end of next week. Hopefully I have everyone's address. Hope everyone has a great day...............chat later. Michelle.

Cheryl- I looked up driving directions from madison, ms to gatlinburg and also from detroit, mi to gatlinburg- both drive times were 8 hours 29 minutes-
Rich and Ally- are you flying to Gatlinburg or driving?
Brad mentioned that our son may have baseball so we will have to see what the deal on that is- our spring break is march 21-28 - Is that a time we may could consider going? baseball would not interfere with us that week as they don't play that week- let us know what you all think - if another time is better for the group, we can just play it by ear from our end and try to be able to go when you all decide-

I don't see why we could'nt do it that week at the end of March. We could try March 24, 25,26 and 27th
Is 4 day's to many? I was thinking if we all drive on Thursday and arrive in the afternoon sometime. I think it will take us 5 or 6 hours to get there. How many bedrooms? I have since cabins up to 9 rooms but they get pricey. 7 to 8 is not to bad. Prices I have so far are $390 $488 for 8 rooms and VERY nice. I could check to see still for not a spectacular one.
