Sheila, you are in a great shopping area! I was born in Maryland and grew up in NJ - I spent a lot of time at Oxford Valley Mall and that area off of 95 growing up. Also, have you been to Penns Purchase and Franklin Mills? Great shopping places! My hometown is Flemington, NJ, which is also a big outlet town now. So perhaps it's in my blood from growing up near so many great shopping places.

Any docs yet, Cats?

Jim - I should've mentioned - please take care of yourself. We can't have a sick Big Cat!

And Tommy, if you are lurking from SF, Thursday night is our first preseason game and Greg and I will be glued to the TV. Tomorrow night we are running out to buy the flat screen!

Jim hope you feel better.
Sheila I know there are some Brown's fans over there there are three here..
I will be looking for a sports bar close to the hotel we stay at on Thursday. The 49ers play the Raiders on Friday in Oakland.
We are staying at the Westin St Francis while Regina is doing her "training". I found an Irish pub last night to entertain myself last night..Going exploring by myself today.

shopping...blah, blah, blah,....mani-pedi....blah, blah, blah....shoes....blah, blah, blah :D Stupid question...is there more to life...only guys need reply :D

Good evening all,

We are still here, just returned from Wal-Mart, Target and Costco to partake in the yearly madness that is SHOPPING FOR SCHOOL SUPPLIES!!!! When we were kids, our folks could beat us and get a standing ovation for the way these kids (including our little Princess) throw tantrums when they don't get everything they want. Needless to say our little Princess is minus a few of those items she cherishes right now. She took the battle...Dad won the war! On another note, we purchased a vehicle over the weekend, which has taken up the bulk of our time recently. It is a 2004 Isuzu Ascender...fully loaded, well cared for, very low miles...and most importantly...great price!

Here is a link to one....

Sheila, thanks for checking in with us. A pub crawl sounds like a great time and certainly a consideration since we can't seem to decide on what we are going to do. One of my staff is from Philly and recently came back stating he will never go back. Even with our rediculous temps, he wouldn't trade them for your humidity. We actually set an all time "low temp" here last week...96 degrees! Would you even get out of bed if you knew the best it was going to get that day would be 96 degrees...coincidentally it was 117 that day. How many in your group have docs? By the way, just noticed your birthday at the bottom of the page...happy birthday if I forget :party

Jim, whats the verdict...how you feeling? Nothing a good old fashioned trip to Carlos n' Charlies couldn't resolve I suppose. Rest up, we have pubs to visit, and unchartered waters to explore :D You need to come visit, people don't get pneumonia here with our dry air....we refer to it as valley fever...which is a life long gift once you have been afflicted with it ;D

Sheree, what size flat screen...does it fit in the armoire...or did you borrow some of Tommy's power tools :D

Tommy, I'm to lazy to go back...are you already in San Francisco? Niners and Raider fans...talk about a contrast in styles!

Almost forgot, like last year, we've had a major change to our flight arrangements again. Up until recently we have had multiple changes in flight times...but nothing more than a few minutes here and there. Today we were informed our early flight out of Orlando on Fronteir has been eliminated. Instead as a valued customer, we have been changed to a 5:00 pm flight. Wait a minute though, the fun doesn't stop there...in Denver we have an additional 3 hour layover. We have gone from getting into Phoenix at a reasonable 6:00 pm timeline, to getting in at 11:30 PM...barring any delays of course! Of course after talking to one of those kind and understanding reps, I wsa told there was nothing I could do because they offer another flight...no matter how inconvenient it may be. Really inspired to just want to book another flight with them in the very near future! Between the changes in luggage policies and now this, I am truly fed up with the airline industry as a whole!!! Is it any wonder why they are in the state they are!

Just in case there are any airline employees reading this...please look for my retraction on the next page :D

Thanks Everyone for the good thoughts. I am feeling somewhat better today.. I am off till tuesday of next week.
I know Tom said that on the islands yall are going to play it by ear, that is all good but..... we will have a 3 year old with us and I don`t feel like dragging him all over the Islands....... so we booked 2 diffrent shoretrips. Both beach breaks..... If by some chance it rains all day of there is bad weather we will get a refund.

Happy Birthday Calum, Bobbie Sue and Sheila!

Jim, glad you are doing a little better, and I hope you continue to get better quickly.

George....congrats on the car. Your reference to back to school shopping took me back to looking for a lunchbox and my mom telling me "no, you can't have a new Trapper Keeper, they are too expensive. Use the one from last year." Followed by me saying "oh Mooooommmmmmm."

For the TV, we bought a 37 inch. It fits in the armoire, no power tools required. The opening is 36.5 inches. The TV was 36.3, according to the website before we purchased it. We went with the Vizio. As we were loading it into the Jeep, Greg had this grin on his face like the happiest little boy. I told him to not get too excited until we knew if it fit in the hole! I asked him if he wanted to pray at the moment before we put the TV into the armoire, and he said a quick prayer, then it slid in. The picture looks good, but we need to get a HD digital box from the cable company tomorrow and then, of course, it will be much sharper. Matt Lauer looks cute on it this morning, so I guess it's a keeper!

Jim, what shore excursions did you book, and who did you book them through?

I am off to explore again.
Jim that was basically what we were going to do...., Taxi to the ferry and then a guide to a beach, sight seeing along the way. My coworker said that we need not book upfront because there will be lots of opportunity to do what we want to do, If anyone else wants to book anything up front it won't hurt our feelings.

Exactly, my mom raised four of us and she would few packs of each item and dibby them up amongst us...no room for discussion! There were parents at Target and everytime time there kids screamed for something, mom would put it in the basket to shut them up. I couldn't believe the looks we were getting for having a little backbone (you know...be the parent) and telling our kid NO!

Same here...unless we get another flight delay :(

Tommy, how's San Francisco?

I didn't comment on your flight delays, George, but what a PIA! You would think it would be easier to get flights from Phoenix to Florida, You know, so old people can reconnect with each other! So far, no changes for us, but I am going to knock on wood and definitely not tease you on your delays because I don't want any to come our way. Next year, assuming we are going out of Florida for a cruise, we are doing Southwest. I've already decided. Even if we have to fly from Cleveland - Chicago - someplace in Florida, just because of the baggage allowance.

Orlando girls....what's going on? What are you up to, other than working on my bags???? I am hoping you are busy with bridal bags too.

Barb, how is everyone?

Tommy...we'll be parked in front of the new flat screen for preseason beginning tonight. GO BROWNS!

Off to work. I believe it's something like 23 more workdays for me. Not that I am counting.
