Jim - glad you are posting. I was starting to get a complex - I thought everyone was posting someplace else and didn't tell me or something!

Yep, the shopping was totally done here on Saturday and everything is wrapped. Also did the Christmas cards this weekend. This Saturday is baking day - then we actually have Greg's family's Christmas this Sunday. After that, we'll be getting the house together again because my parents and one brother are coming in next Friday already. It's amazing how time flies between Thanksgiving and Christmas!

George, I am afraid that Anne took you to the mall and left you there, since you haven't been posting much. And I think Regina and Tommy stayed in Vegas with whatever happened in Vegas!

Orlando girls - continued good thoughts going your way.

Hey y'all,

It's been a crazy couple weeks with everything hopefully simmering down at the end of this week. Unfortunately, my boss and his boss have been on vacation for the last two weeks and I've had to take on their work load, along with my own. Funny thing happened though, several projects got dropped on my lap right at the same time these two went on vacation...funny how things just happen to work out that way. I got stuck with putting together the budget packages last year. Needless to say I am ready for a break.

I'd like to say I read through everything I missed in the last few weeks...but I didn't! With that I hope all is well for everyone and the holiday season is treating you well.

Denise, hope your dad is doing better...thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Has there been any good news to report?

Sheree, thanks for holding down the fort for everyone...did you get all the shopping done? I know stupid question...

Merry Xmas Cats!!!

Dee came home for two weeks to get the bags done that needed to be done before xmas and we got everything done including orders due in January. Praise the Lord.

Dee's dad is doing somewhat better. They are releasing him and sending him home with home health. Which is better for Dees mom, she will be able to sleep in her own bed because she has been at the hospital since the day he got admitted Nov 21st. She has only gone home a couple time, she lives in the room with him.

I think Dee being there will whip him into shape getting him stronger to withstand the surgery. They are going to schedule surgery for Jan, we are just not sure when in Jan. He needs a pacemaker and a fibulator ( i think).

Anyway not much posting going on since I have been gone. I guess xmas is taking over. We have been blessed with lots of business this season. We are closing the store the week between xmas & new years I am looking forward to the break even though I have no idea what i am going to do. i don't have Dee here to lunch with. We did have girl day before she left, mani's and pedi's and lunch....fab

Julie started working a second job at Toys are Us a few weeks ago. Can you imagine Toys are Us a few days before xmas...She says its packed. Well she has been working nights and comes home around 11:30 so I was wrapping presents to take to Julie's parents and I had a few things for her so I grabbed this 2 or 3 foot tree I had in the grage and decorated it with a few ornaments we had collected over the years and put the tree skirt on and now I have this fabulous tree to look at at night. I am a nerd I know. So there is a bit of xmas in the house. We had plans to bake cookies, Dee wanted to for the first time ever. So we are going to do it in january when she returns.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and Santa brings you everything on your list.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

We are alive. Just been really busy with my company holiday party. I am chairman of the social commitee and we had a Luau this year instead of the traditinal holiday thing. It went well and I am so glad that it is over.

We usually have it at the Holiday inn by the airport. This year we had it at the Winter Park farmers market and we had the food catered, we had a Hawaiian entertainment group come in and perform, a Dj, we hired the Margarita man that has the frozen drink machines and had pina coladas and Mi tia's. It was a ton of work planning and excuting the whole thing. It was last Wednesday. then that week on Friday we had Tom's work party and Saturday we were off to Port St. Lucie to one of Tom's friends Christmas open house.

His parents came home(with his sister,her husband and a 2 1/2 year old) from Illinois on Dec 4th. His Mom's birthday was Dec 5th and we had them all over for dinner. So needless to say it had been a bit hectic and in between all that I had to do the Christmas shopping, the gift wrapping, the tree trimming and all the other daily chores. It is usually about 12 or 1 am before I have been getting in to bed the last few weeks. I AM EXHAUSTED!

Tommorrow (Saturday) we have Christmas with his brother (lives in Merritt Island) at his moms house. Tom's brother who is Indian is making curry for us all for dinner. I HATE CURRY!!!!!!!!! Tom's other sister and her boy friend arrive tommorrow. He goes home Christmas and she stays a week with us. She lives in West Palm.

Christmas we have the sister from Illinois, the Brother in law and the kid at our house becasue Santa is coming to our house...... Guess who is making Christmas breakfast at pur house for 9 people? NOT TOM!!!!! Then it is off to my sister's house to do our gift exchange. Will it ever end?????????

So that is about all we have been doing lately. I am glad to see that Dee's dad is doing better and all of you are finished with the Christmas. Shopping.
thanks for the christmas cards. Sheree I had misplaced your address so I did not get a card out to you, however I did get yours and I have it now for next year. I hope you have a Merry Christmas.

Orlando girls take it easy and get some rest after all that work you have been doing. I am glad that it was busy for you. Sorry i missed your tv time. I did see it the last time you were on. This time I was to busy to watch tv.

Now on the bright side I am off work until Jan 2. Do you think that I will get any rest? God I hope so.

Hi All,
We are still here and just as busy as everyone else :) We are getting some cruise stuff for christmas but still not going to save Dad any thing LOL.
Hope did get one of her Formal dresses and it fits LOL she has a hard time finding nice cloths that fit good. Bobbie and Sara are still looking and we are waiting to see what size Calum will be when we cruise so we can get him a tux.
There had been a bad virus going around here and bobbie has it her temp went up to 104.6 I was ready to take her to the hospital but the fever broke, I didn`t like that.

Happy belated Christmas everyone! This is one of the few places you can still get away with wishing people a Merry Christmas without them getting offended. Anne and I made it a point to say "Merry Christmas to every person we came into contact throughout the holiday season. Surprisingly I don't remember anyone not smiling and returning the gesture. Just my two cents!

Did everyone see President Ford passed away yesterday? Truly sad, three presidents in the last three years. Anne was reading the paper and made mention of the fact that two attempts on his life by two different women took place over a span 17 days. And I thought I made women mad ;) In 1913 he was actually adopted...imagine the what if's had he not been? And the ripple effects on us all? His real name was actually Leslie King.

Gotta go get the coffee, I'll be back...

On the Christmas front, Arrielle got far more than any kid could ever deserve! It's funny how you put a thing away here and there over the course of a year...and how much you end up with come Christmas time. We truly need to cut back next year...says good in theory :)

We have St. Vincent De Paul coming over this morning, so we have to get a few last minute items packed for them...talk 2u l8r

Hey y'all,

Sitting here waiting for St. Vincent De Paul to arrive and thought we would look at airline/hotel rates...never to early to start planning. Found Continental for $208 to Miami. With fuel rates jumping again...now that the elections are over here we go again...we are seriously looking at booking very early this year. I read in the paper that the airlines will be hiking up the rates in unison very soon.

Quick question...when does everyone plan on going down to Miami? With the flight taking up most of day 1, we are planning on flying in on Thursday, rather than the day before the cruise. We were thinking about staying one day in Miami after the cruise, but probably won't.

Sheree, the Hyatt Regency was the hotel just up the road that you got through Priceline...right? We stayed there several years ago, seemed like a real nice place. The Holiday Inn (Best Western years ago) seems quite run down now...doesn't look like any improvements have been made since we were there. The Hyatt rates are $119 right now on most sites, but I seem to recall prices right around $50 on Priceline.

Jim, with the whole family going this time are you just going to rent a van? Seems like a viable option when considering the cost for parking/wear for your own vehicle. Costco has good rental rates that would probably be cheaper than parking at the port.
