Realize I haven't been on for awhile....W/moving (trying to fit two houses of stuff into one) It's slowly coming around....
Happy belated B'days and anniversities to everyone!!!!
Winter has finally decided to come here to Mid-Michigan...Roughly 2 weeks ago we got 6 inches of snow and yesterday we got another 4 inches of that white stuff!!!!...had extremely cold weather for a couple of days hi's in single digits w/wind chills around 15 to 20 below zero...now that's a BRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Margaret and I r still planning on the Carnival Liberty...in Oct.. but things may change...would luv to cruise w/u Cats again...but Marg can get that week off....as I stated b4...another one of the managers is getting Married at that time....How dare he....LOL
It's about time for me to get some stuff done around here...Talk to all U Cats later....

George, you really are nuts....It's Samantha Brown not Julie Brown...lol Congrats on the 17 years, I agree with Sheree, Anne deserves a metal...I have no info on Florida for Arrielle, I know more about NYC than I do a place I have lived my whole life...lol I am not a huge fan of Florida if you have not noticed. I am actually a bit worried this year with the hurricanes, our water is very warm since we really have not had a winter as of yet. I pray we will have no threat of hurricanes and they all stay out at sea like last year.

Nothing much else going on, I am at the store hoping for a very busy day. Not sure if I told you but Dee's dad finally got a surgery date of 1/31, next Tuesday. Dee is preapring to come home on 2/7 if everything goes well. So please say prayers for them.
Yogini is doing well, we had not been hanging out to much as she has been involved with church and choir. But we did go out for my friend eve's b-day and then to the movies and it was nice to hang out. The ex moved to Texas and she is rid of him, they are friends but that is it. She is much better off and knows it.

Well, we just booked our airfare...I know CRAZY!!! But we couldn't pass on $209.00 r/t to Miami...it's very rare we see such low prices from Phoenix. It's easy to get good rates to Ft. Lauderdale, but we want to avoid the rental car if at all possible...which we have! Our flight actually leaves on the 13th at 11:00 pm, which puts us in Miami in the morning instead of late afternoon. Our return flight leaves at 12:20 pm, but from what I have read we shouldn't have any problems with this time. Worse comes to worse we will do carry off for debarkation...aaagggghhh!

same camera it is a Fujifilm S5000 it is a good camera but Bobbie was taking pics and when it looks blury all you have to do is shut it off and turn it back on and it is fine...but she didn`t know that..I will be getting other pics soon and I will post them. I have all the videos copyed and will be sending them out this week sometime.

Well, if we think about 2008 before the cruise in 2007, we might want to consider booking on board the LOS if we decide to go on RCCL again. My preferences at the moment for 2008 would be the Freedom (assuming that I like the class of ship when we are on the Liberty), perhaps the Liberty again, or perhaps the Mariner again. Or perhaps Alaska......just tossing that out there!
Wish me luck in pushing the issue of getting my vacation approved tomorrow at work....Sheree

OK - I'll revise my list to include the Independence at the top of my list. Though I have to wonder if we are starting to get into ships that might be too big. The unnamed ship at 220,000 GRT might be in that category!
Off to work for me. We've got three fresh inches of snow so it might be a sloppy trip. Most of what we had on the ground melted Saturday, so the new snow is pretty much all that we have. They say that tonight we have a "Alberta Clipper" on its way, so we'll have a gift of snow from Canada overnight. Yippee.

My sister's birthday is this weekend and her best friend is hiring a chef to make dinner for her b-day. He is actually cooking a four course meal for my sister, anne (her friend) julie, doris and I. Isn't that fab. I am in charge of wine, decorating and making the cake....I am experimenting with Fondant for her cake. i love to create b-day cakes and it is my sister's 50th so I am going all out to make the cake special...wish me luck, fondant is not easy to work with. If it comes out i will post a picture.
It is cold here too....I had to sleep with the heat on last night, our house was 50 degrees and even though I was all bundled up it was still freezing. We live in a concrete block house so the cold was coming through the walls..lol I even had to cover my Orchids...yippee I love it, I wish it would snow, than I would be a real happy camper....
Well, back to work I go. once I hear back from Dee with an update I will let you know.

Hey y'all,
A funny thing happened yesterday. For the last couple of weeks we have been contemplating a land vacation for Arrielle this summer, being that we aren't taking her on the cruise. After pricing many of the options out that we considered, we came to the stark realization of just how economical a cruise really is. I called Lori yesterday and got pricing on two four day sailings out of L.A. Needless to say the cruise came out much cheaper than a land option. So, as of last night, we are officially booked on the May 28th Monarch of the Seas sailing Arrielle waisted no time when posed with the choice of the two options...she leaped at the cruise! Never heard a 10-year old turn down Disney for a cruise. This is the first time since 97 we did two cruises in one year. But then again, I guess you could say we are doing 3 cruises in 11 mos.
The Monarch is a pretty old ship and a little bigger than the Paradise, our other choice. I haven't done much research on the ship, but Lori's assistant gave it good marks. While I haven't looked, I'm assuming the Monarch has probably been in dry dock a few times just based on her age.
Cris, my little sister shares your passion for making specialty cakes. She took some courses several years ago and has been making specialty cakes for all occassions since. I'd hate to see the two of you in the same kitchen at the same time. Any news on how the surgery went?

There are perks if you book on board. On the Mariner this year we had tablemates who took advantage of that. It depends on what level of card you have with them. The normal level (gold, maybe?) is what we have now, and I believe it was $200 per cabin onboard credit on 7 or more days. I could be wrong....so don't quote me exactly on that. The level of onboard credit goes up with your card level. We'll have the next level after this cruise, since we'll have 5 completed cruises. I'd be all for booking next years while we are on board this years cruise. And you know I love RCCL the most! (Tommy, do you know more about the booking on board thing??)
Cris - have you heard from Dee? When I read your message at work it was moments after you posted and I did say a little prayer. Please let us know how he is. And make sure Dee knows that we all care about her and want her dad to be better soon.
I did ask for my vacation time today. I was working on the information for the Dept of Health surveyor and we were joking about how draining that it has been. They surveyors have been horrible - picking on everything. Anyway, I told her that when I went home last night I had to look at the calendar to see when we could go to Las Vegas because I need to have something to look forward to when it's like this. I told her that I even wrote down my vacation request and I'd be forwarding it to her because I need to have something to plan and distract me. She laughed and said send it over. we're going to try to go to Las Vegas in June, so it'll be time to search for airfare soon. Also, we are going to run away for the weekend in February and I'll be doing Priceline so I'll let everyone know how that goes.
And on the Samantha Brown thing....it's definitely a show about the FOS that everyone was talking about? When I do a search on the Travel Channel, I can't find anything on the Liberty. But I can find a special on the Freedom. Oh well...they're similar enough that either way I'll be drooling infront of the TV.
And a snow update.....we got another 5 inches today. Greg shoveled before he left to go teach his paramedic class and when I got home there was close to 3 more inches on the ground. It's dark out when I get home - but maybe I'll ask Greg to take a picture during the day tomorrow so I can show it to all of my snow-less friends. It's really pretty!

I am not allowed to go to Vegas again...I was a bad boy and gambled over my limit. I didn't have the Chevy Chase fever it was more like...$20 on this slot machine $20 on that one.
