Sheree, we got to see the new Bourne movie last weekend...fantastic!!! It's had to believe that all three movies were that good...they kept getting better. The only other sequels I think I can say that about it Lord of the Rings.


Dan/Sheree, no doubt. Unfortunately the brief letter didn't capture just how much of a spectacle this guy made of this. What I didn't tell you in my post was that the assistant manager read my letter and then sought me out to offer up his apology. He was quite concerned my letter went to corporate offices as well. It appears this new policy doesn't really exist and they simply ask those with back packs to check in at the customer service desk. Unfortunately for Preston, he should have gotten this guy to deal with me on Friday night. Apparently he's also going to have to answer for the manner in which he degraded the customer service clerk as well.

On a bad note, our AC went out yesterday...it's blistering hot in this house and it's only 6:15 AM.

Sorry about the A/C George. I hope you get that fixed soon. I think ours has been on non-stop for 3 months straight now. And don't worry about Preston - I am sure this isn't an isolated incident - he probably has made this type of mistake before and they'll only let him make it a few more times before they do something about it, I am sure.

Last night, as the hubby was falling asleep in front of the Browns game, I reminded him that 3 weeks from that moment we'd be sitting in the dining room for our first dinner with the Big Cats. He smiled, then snored.....

You guys will probably get a kick out of this. Apparently last week, after practice, the defensive line held down Brady Quinn and shaved the pretty boy's head! The local broadcasters (Bernie Kosar and some local guy you wouldn't know) kept on talking about it and they were trying to get as many shots of him with his helmet/baseball cap off as possible. I think we're going to have a love/hate with him all season, but probably mostly love if he does a good job. That's one thing about cleveland - we don't embrace the "pretty boy" thing too well in this blue collar town!

Well, off to work on garage sale stuff....Sheree

Now George...being a ex Home Depot Asst Manager I am siding with Preston, if I saw a shady character like you entering****MY**** store with bags from another store: a strip/cavity search would of have been performed on YOU, on the spot. JK LOL

I have had to fix similar situations. Helping customers and making their shopping experience a pleasant one is 100% of retail person's job. Preston was way out of line pushing this "new policy". He should have made some sort of accommodations to fix your situation. I can go on and on with stories about customer service. One time a customer was doing an A/C project and we were out of an item to complete his project. I asked him to finish shopping and I will be back in a few minutes...I went across the street to Lowes and purchased the $2 missing item that he needed to complete his A/C work. I got back just when he finished shopping. He was happy especially when he found out what I did. I have broken real rules on occasion to give the best customer experience that I could. You have to go above and beyond to please the customer because without them you don't have a job!!!!!

Enough with my flash backs of retail...now its sorry it's not per code or plans fix it... oh yea and pay a fee.

Hope, Calum and I met Dee and Doris in Wildwood today to pick up the cruise bags for all my Girls. What a nice job they did Thanks girls.

Good luck with your A/C and it had to break on a sunday I hope you can get it fixed today. If my A/C went out I would be renting a motel till it was fixed. I can`t live with out it. Also I went through the a**hol* manager thing at Wal-Mart when we got tires on Bubbas truck we orderd one size and it was rainning when we got out so I didn`t look at the size. When we got home it had stopped rainning and they were the wrong size...so I called and the person on the phone was nice and said bring the truck back and they would take care of us with the right size tires. We went right back..the guy that checked us in told me he put the right size in the computer but the service manager told them to put the other size on without asking us we were in the store and they could have called us and said some thing. They were nice when we got there the service assistant manager told the workers to put the truck ahead of everyone else I thought that was nice...than the Service Manager shows up with a bad attitude and said that was the recommended size that they put on the truck. I had looked it up before we took the truck in on Wal Marts web site and it said both sizes were ok for that truck. 225-15-75 what we orderd was 225-15-70 just a little wider tire as Bub was going to be in sand alot at job sites. The service manager said they shouldn`t put the 70`s on because they weren`t reccomended and I told him that is not what there web site said. and he just wanted to argue with us ..soooo I told him to take off the tires and put back on the old tires and give my money back and wanted to talk to the store manager. he was unavable at the time. we took the truck to tires plus and had the tires we wanted put on the truck. I emailed wal-mart customer service when we got home and the manager called the next day to find out what the problem was and I told him. The service manager no longer works as a manager in that store.

Thats right Jim you showed them and that is what I would do if I were George. Take you business elsewhere.

You got the guy in trouble for being a jerk and you took your business somewhere else. I guess that I get that attitude from being in retail for so many years. Either they treat you like they should or move on because there are hundreds more stores out there to shop in.

Tom and I actually received good customer service at Lowes the other day and I was impressed. I think it was either an assistant manager or a department manager that saw us walking in from the garden area (the line was long out side) with two large black iron trelles.He asked if he could help us, we said no the line was long out side so we were going to pay inside. He offered to carry them to a register or help us with them and we said we were okay. He then directed us to the customer service desk for quick check out and went out side and brought us in a flat cart to carry them out on. Most stores would have let us struggle with it. I commented to Tom that it was nice to have some actually offer service and try to help us for a change. (It was becasue we were not in home depot).

Did I forget to tell you all that I heard my future kid's heartbeating for the 1st time last Thursday!!!! It was cool!!! Everything is going good with Courtney!!!

Today Courtney and I told my grandmother that she is gonna be a great-grandmother for the 4th time!!!! She was all excited!!!

George - when's the A/C due to get fixed? We saw that you were a cool 100 yesterday and Greg and I both commented that at least you have cool weather. Ha ha. I'd be dying. I am with Jim - I'd have to move to a hotel. How do you even sleep or take a shower without A/c? I can't imagine.

Tommy and Regina - you guys came back awfully talkative! Now let's keep it up for the next couple of weeks!

Has anyone else thought that we only have one more Monday to get up and go to work after today? Or am I the only one with this wacky mindset?

You should see all the junk, errr, I mean treasures, that we have ready to go out to the garage sale. I cannot wait to get it all out of here. And we're putting out end tables, coffee tables, and lamps out of the living room so I can buy new ones after the cruise. I am hoping they all sell. If they don't, we'll bring them back in, but I am really hoping to unload them so I can buy new ones.

after you said one more monday of work I was thinking...wow are we that close. I still need to get to the cleaners.

Bubbas jeep died... well it didn`t die... his battery was low and I gave him a jump... that got it back to life..he has a new battery so I didn`t think that was the problem but we had it checked anyway...nope.
jumped him at the parts store got home cleaned the battery terminals..jumped it again...took off one terminal and the jeep died ...I know what that is ..it is the altenator..was to hot to take it off tonight so when he gets home tomorrow he will remove it and by the time I get home we will take it to the parts store and have it checked I bet that is what it is...now folks you can`t do this to a new car you can mess up the computer just an FYI.

Hi guys - I don't know what happened, but my post from last night disappeared. I am trying to remember what I posted.....I know I asked the Orlando girls about Margarita Madness....sounds like a good idea! Also, I was wondering about George too, though I remember that he said he'd be out of town for work from Tueday thru Friday. I, too, am hoping that he fixed the A/C so Anne and the Princess can be comfortable while he's gone. And also I remember posting for Jim that I remember my dad putting an alternator in our Monte Carlo when I was younger, and learning new swear words!

Oh well, I don't know why it went "poof!"

Bubbas Jeep is fixed and he didn`t learn any new swear words.... as he had the alternator off when I got home...we had it checked and it was bad..got a new one and installed it.it is running now charging the battery.

Dan forgot to congratulate you and Courtney on hearing the baby's heart beat. I know they ladies at work get so excited when that happens. We have had about 5 babies in our office in the last five years so I have to deal with over excited memebrs of staff. Personally since I have never had kids I do not understand but I guess you and Courtney know why you get that feeling.
