Re: Give Me Liberty or Give Me the Big Cats 9/15/07 (or Give Me Both!)
Good morning all,
It's pretty much an uneventful Labor day for us, doing some yard work and putting stuff together for the cruise. We usually pack everything up about this far up because the last week is usually crazy and we have no time.
Do any of you have any experience with calling cards? We are thinking about buying a card from Costco to call Arrielle when we are on the islands.
Speaking of Costco, I recieved an email from them and the matter is being looked into. Tommy, I know you wrote about your former employer, HD a page back and the lengths you would go through to satisfy a customer. For many years we were avid HD customers, that was until Lowes came to our neighborhood. With all due respect to HD, the customer service we have gotten from Lowes has been far superior than any visit to a local HD in the past. While doing renovations, they really went out of there way to help us with the best pricing and making sure our experience was quite positive.
Jim / Tommy, could either of you take us to a grocery store for beer and caff diet coke? Looking at mapquest, there are two Publix stores within a mile of the hotel. I'm gathering they sell beer? Kind of strange to hear the CVS, Walgreens, Osco drug stores don't sell liquor / beer there...they all do here. We are going to see if there is a store close by the hotel we are staying at on the 13th. If not, we would appreciate a ride if possible?
Not sure if any of you have done this as of yet, but I was on webshots looking at photos of Labadee and noticed many changes since the Mariner cruise.
Tommy, sounds like you need to seek out other opportunities once you get this license. Phoenix is begging for inspectors should you be interested! Those cert. tests aren't cheap. My NCPSI course and exam was $600.00; thank God I was reimbursed for passing!
Regina, we signed up about 3 weeks ago. We did get the t-shirts in last week from the other group...look pretty nice. Speaking of shirts, who's on for football in the sports bar on Sunday...don't forget your colors!
