Maybe we could all meet somewhere for a cocktail. I don't know the ship, so I can't suggest a location. Maybe the first or second night out, we could say hello.

Hi Guys,
got busy, but finally back on!
Toto -took yr advice abt Cpt Marvins, they seem to be the best bet, so we booked
the 1000 -1300 hr Stingray tour in Grand Cayman,
If everyone on this board going on the Mar 30 wants to meet, what abt at aftn tea? (just a thought)!

15 days and counting!

Hi guys,

Have any of you ever booked an inside guarantee cabin, like "run of the ship"?

My boyfriend and I will be leaving on 03/30, but we still don't have our cabin assignment yet, I called Princess and they say we should get it a few days prior to the cruise. Have any of you done this before and what was the outcome?

It would be nice to have an upgrade to an outside cabinet, but as long as the cabin is nice and quiet, I don't really mind.

Hey Paul, that is the time we choose for Cpt. Marvin, looks like we will be playing with those stingrays together. LOL

sweetpea-Best thing to do is to watch the Princess Personalizer for your cabin assignment. Sometimes it will show up there before you are even notified. If you have not been there as of yet, all you need is the booking number and your name and it will pull up your complete booking. Best of luck, hope that you get that upgrade you are looking for, it very often happens on Princess.

Paul - I've always meet cruise friends I've met online at the Alfresco Bar, which is outside the Horizon Cafe at the back of the ship, weather permitting.

Sweetpea - don't be surprised if you find yourself with a bit of an upgrade. Hope so, anyway, maybe the upgrade fairy will pay you a visit.

Paul - we always go to afternoon tea on sea days. I'm a real sucker for those scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam. Mmmm, beats Krispy Kreme any day of the week. Since our first stop is Princess Cays, I'm going to wear a Cruise Addicts t-shirt and hopefully you'll see us and say hello.

10 days from now we'll be in the air (hopefully) on our way to FLL. We are in cabin D306 if anyone wants to contact us on board.

Thks for the tip Peabody,
Spronge Rob - sounds good, if we don't see yu at Princess Cays,
we may see yu guys in the hallway cause we're on the Dolphin deck too!
As to those krispy kreme donuts - that's the first thing I'm looking for when
we get to Florida , no KK in the Maritimes!
10 days to go!

Paul, I'll bring you a box of KK's if you'll bring a Thermos of Tim Horton's coffee.

Depends on how bad the Princess coffee is this time, Toto. It was almost palatable on the Royal Princess - but when we got to St. John, there was a mad rush for Tim Horton's anyway. If you haven't had a cup of TH coffee, you've missed out on a bit of heaven.

Well Rob, last time I was on Princess it was definitely a :nono
In fact there are very few lines that we consider it drinkable at all. Most are using that liquid concentrate stuff trying to pass it off as real coffee. YUCK!
If you get desperate, just remember you are just a few minutes away from a decent cup of the stuff. The coffee pot is always accessible at our cabin. :)

Toto,
I'm glad yr bringing yr coffee pot! I'll bring some Tim Horton's coffee.
Sponge Bob - I was trying to think of a way to tell yu gently that with a four
hr flight to Florida, (and given the nature of airline coffee), there wasn't much hope
I could resist a thermos full of fresh, hot Tim Hortons!
This way, we all can enjoy a cup.
Just to be sure - no one wants decaf? right?

Now that sounds like a great plan Paul, I bring the pot and you bring that special coffee to put a smile on SpongeRobs face. We will have it made. What a great idea. I knew there was other reasons that I never leave home without that pot. LOL Definitely NOT decaf, why ruin a great cup of coffee? ;)
(I was wondering how you were going to keep a thermos of coffee hot for that long trip anyway. :lol )

Decaf is like non-alcoholic beer, it gives you an excuse to go the bathroom but otherwise completely fails to fulfill its intended purpose.

Hope our driver on Sunday knows where the Krispy Kreme shop is!
