Good morning!

What type of dog did they get? Is it big or small or in between? We can't have a dog because of Lee. I want a poodle but he is terrified of tripping over it, so no go!

Whatcha doing today, after the vet?

Good morning,
How are things? Dennis travelling?
Nothing new here. This is my long week to work, so I am resting up today. Having trouble with my rt leg for some reason.
Just read one of the Genesis threads...........big announcement tomorrow, I guess. Bummer, I have to work.....maybe Lee can call or text me what it is...................

Cold again today and tomorrow, but then warms up some. Thursday, I have a dental appt. for teeth cleaning and then hair appt. Other than that, just work! Oh well, didn't win the lottery so that's my life!! =huh

Yup Dennis is on the road...............went to key West yesterday and will be home later sometime.....will leave out on Wed(I think).....

Inlaws are getting rid of the dog.........he has heartworm which costs a fortune and they are your typical "on a fixed income" seniors....poor pup......well, better now then later if he broke a leg or something and they had to get rid of him cuz they couldnt afford it.........me?? We have spent thousands taking care of our dogs.........no wonder we're broke...:)P)

Whats the matter with your leg???

Not sure about my leg....I have been having quite a bit of trouble with both my legs swelling. My ankles sometimes are really swollen.
My rt knee was hurting last week. Don't know if I pulled muscles babying my knee or what, but am having a lot of discomfort in rt lower leg. Now to add to the matter, I am taking a statin drug for my cholesterol and don't know if the muscle pain is from that or not.....I hate getting old!! Have an appt with MD on 5/1, so will discuss with him then.

Sorry about the puppy, but better now then after they were completely attached.................. I understand about fixed incomes!! That's another reason we don't have any pets. (big sigh here)

So ready to cruise!!!!

Hi Guys I am back. I have read all the posts so I am pretty up to date on what you have been talking about. Sorry about the legs Martha. I know you are on you're feet a lot. Do you think that has anything to do with it?

Kathy, you need to lose weight???? Give me a break. With your trim figure. :)P) Now I really needed to lose wight and I have lost quite a bit in the past month. Have dropped one dress size already. My diet consists of a yogurt for breakfast, a slim fast drink for lunch and a Lean Cuisine Spa dinner. I also played tennis on Sunday with Lindsey ( first time in 20 years)
and then walked two miles Sunday and again last night when I get back from work.

Martha, you do not have to spend a fortune to go to Europe. Although it is very expensive when you get there. There are some ways you can save money, and I would be happy to help you plan. I stayed in London near St. Pancras and Kings Cross station right in the heart of London for 85 pounds per night. From there you can take the tube all over, as well as the Eurostar to Paris in one and a half hours. Most of the galleries and Museums are free. I went to a show " Blood Brothers" which was great. Plus a concert by candlelight at the famous St.Martins-in-the Field. There are places you can eat which are inexpensive as well. So don't let your dreams fade. You can do it on a budget.

One of the fun things we did was visit the new St. Pancras International Rail Station in London. It is where all the Eurostar trains depart from for Paris. Brussels and Lille. It is wonderful. Lot of shops and cafe's and it hosts a Wine Bar, and the Longest Champagne Bar in Europe.

Take a look at all the fun things to do. Wish we girls could take a trip together. Got to get ready for work.

Morning.....

Glad you're back on here Kate......I really wish we all could get together too............I do have that AA voucher yet!!

I do need to lose weight.......being 5'7" helps hide some excess pounds.....My clothes are snug.......I used to wear a size 8 but not even the 10s are a little too tight.......

Congrats on your weight loss.......I know you dont have much of an appetite these days so make sure you take some vitamins and take care of yourself........ya hear!

It will be nice just you and Lee,Martha.......I know if I went ,I wouldnt really be hanging out with Vicki anyway...

Back later.................

Morning all,

I had to take my cat to the vet and he needs surgery which will cost over $1000. I could weep its so expensive, but I would hate to lose him. Anytime is bad but right now is awful.

Kathy hold on to that AA voucher. Maybe we can plan something. Any ideas? I have some Continental mileage as well. By the way did you see the article on how Vitamins may actually cause you to die sooner. :help

OK, so when and where. I am ready. I checked out the airfares from Houston to Myrtle Beach, but we have to fly to Newark first on Continental. :help There must be somewhere else we could all meet up. Plenty of room at my house, you could all come here.:party

Off to work today. It's is a good thing for me. Keeps my mind occupied.

Martha, Eddie is doing better and it only cost $425 instead of over $1000. But I also need a new pool pump and that will be another $400. I actually need a new pool, as it needs re-tiling and re-lining, but I guess that will have to wait.

See you later.

Y'all could fly into Charlotte and we could drive to MB....that's what Lee suggested because MB just has a really small airport...
just a thought! Might get a cheaper flight to here, also.

Kate- glad to hear Eddie wasn't as expensive as originally thought.

You guys are so lucky to have a pool. We envy both of you!

Getting my hair cut today before the cruise...that's about it. Want to take a walk and I have started trying to jump rope. That's a laugh to watch.

This is my long weekend to work.........

Jumping rope and your legs hurt?? Doesnt that create pressure on your knees???

ANYWHERE,I look to go on AA involves going thru here and there..........unless I fly directly to Miami....but thats ok..whatever we decide on........

Heck--I could drive to MB probably faster than flying with all the stops.........

You two decide............I can fly either way.........whats best for you,Martha(the one with no air vouchers)??

I'm not the best long distance driver, so having y'all with me and taking turns would be great! What about this????

Both of you fly into Charlotte the day before (Friday); spend the night here. We can use my Camry and drive down the following am (Sat). We can stay in 1 room- they have executive suites oceanfront where we usually stay. 3 Beds, small kitchen, including oven, microwave, and fridge (keep the wine cold). Leave Sun pm and drive home. Stay with us again Sun pm and fly out Mon. I always have off Mon, so that would be no problem.

When are you looking at??

Here's where we usually stay..... http://www.thecaravelle.com/

We could bring our own food if we want, or eat out.....have done both.

I could fly to Charlotte from Houston Continental goes in non-stop. The Caravelle looks good. Funny I looked at that yesterday. It would be nice to have a few days there though, especially after flying so far. I am all for it. How far of a drive is it Martha?

Sounding good to me too...........I think Martha said it was about 3 hours............maybe we could stay till Monday?? That would give us 2 beach nights...........

I think we should just eat there and have a relaxing weekend.........wine and cheese makes a great dinner, dont ya think?? I know you two so I know you agree..........hahahah

Oh BTW.the other message board I had you guys vote on(CF) is having a group cruise for the MA Oct 11,2009!! Maybe we can get some good perks...
