Lauren went to the walk in doctor today...........they dont do blood tests for tyroids........told her she needs a primary doctor which she is working on............she called her GYN and she told her to stop the calcium and she will see her on Wednesday.

Glad they stopped the calcium. Her GYN can do the thyroid tests. A lot of them here do it for their pts.....

Didn't get home till late. I went to a Salsa class. It was fun even if I was not the best dancer in the class.
Kathy. I hope I have not missed you. I know you leave early in the morning. Drive safely and take care and have a wonderful time. We will be waiting to hear all the news.

Kate- I just typed you a long reply and the cable company is working and disconnected me and I lost all of it!!
Thanks for asking, my mom is doing much better. I don't know if I told you, but she developed a sinus infection the night of the procedure and had to come to my urgent care on Fri. The Dr. gave her some antibiotics and she stayed with us again Fri. night just to be on the safe side. She is doing much better and can swallow easier now.
Aubrey has started walking finally and she is so cute waddling around. Starting to talk much better, also!!
I am getting so discouraged about cruise fares now. I guess we will have to stop cruising so much. I am upset with RCI doing away with multiple discounts as other cruiselines upgrade and RCI doesn't. I guess we will have to shop around and try different lines now. Or give up cruising. We are trying to pay off our PC cruise in Dec. which is why we haven't booked Freedom yet.... wish we could win the lottery!
Lee is flaring, I think. His hands and ankles are really hurting. I had him increase his Prednisone and take a pain pill. I hate it for him.

Just a quick check in.....haven't had a chance to check other threads but Tom emailed me his test is normal and is following up with his Dr. about his BP. Had me worried.
Haven't had a chance to read about the announcement that Kathy went to. Hope she is having a wonderful time.

Sorry Martha, I am here. Just that some days are not so good and I get diverted. I had a call yesterday from Alan partners wife ( my one time golfing friend) I have not heard from her in three months and it upset me. I get so weepy very easily.

Kate- so sorry yesterday was a bad day; was the call a good one? I hope she was supportive!
The big announcement was in Times Square and it dealt with the Oasis of the Seas. Can't wait to hear if Kathy had fun- I certainly hope so!!

Yes she was. It is very hard for me to speak to anyone really without being in tears. I so hate feeling like this. Today I felt so negative that I took myself to the GYM and walked a few miles then used the machines for a workout.
I like the look of those loft cabins....wow....don't suppose I will ever see the inside of one of them now.........More likely a Promenade cabin.......... I am going to have to find someone to cruise with as well.

Kathy, have you recovered from your outing yet? How is Lauren doing? Is she any better?
Tomorrow is final payment day for my Aug 30 cruise on Voyager. I am so looking forward to it. I know the next few months may be very hard and I will need to have time to recover. Trouble is how do you forget 40 years of your life in a few months?
Off to work today. It has been a Godsend to have something to do during the day.

Hi all...........
OHMIGOSH~~ I had a FABulous time............I know I posted that on CC,but I wish I had more time there.I walked all over..from Central Park to empire state and took a subway to Ground Zero...........I woke up early both days and was outta the room no later than 7.....I slept like a baby from all that exercise......................NY is great...........loved the food and ate so much pizza,bagels,hot dogs,pretzels and more............
went to the top of the Marriott and they have a revolving bar up there.......went with some friends..........drank cosmos that cost $16 each!!
The event was sooooooooooo classy.......nothing like I have ever been to..........
I am trying to catch up with everything on here...........

What a fabulous time you had. I love those classy do's. They are just my cup of tea. I wish I would have come. Next time you have to go alone I will come but I need a bit more time to book an air fare. I had checked last week but it was over $1000 to NY from IAH as it was so near to the time. We just have to get together sometime, before next year.
I have stayed at that Marriott at Ground Zero. We were there 6 months after 9-11. It was pretty gruesome then. I am not surprised at the $16 cosmos. I expect every drink you order would be in the same price range. It's kind of like when you go to Europe. Ouch. I am going to have to be careful with my $$$$ this summer. I may just have to pick one good excursion and the rest of the time do it alone.

I had a few friends from CC there as well.................one night,had dinner with a couple I know from FL.........the next night,dinner with 6 others.......then 4 of us went to a play and one of them walked me home to my hotel........even though I would have felt safe in the area i was...............

Got a call from Alan this morning ( which I did not answer) asking me when he could come round and pick up the financial data he wants. Then as I did not answer he sent me an email. I am in two minds as to whether to let him get on with it, or just drag my heels till it suits me.
It ruined my morning. I am about to go to the tea party as well.
