Good morning! Had trouble getting on here just now. I hope the powers that be aren't having problems with anything.

Great football game last night. Talk about kicking some LSU bootie!! Kris & Gary came over for a little while. Gary was very, very quiet. He knew he was going to lose money.D Being the nice mother that I am, I told him that he didn't have to pay me.

Bert finally decided to get up, so I may as well go see if he wants breakfast. I'll be back later.

Gas is coming down here too. We are finally seeing it for less that $1.15 per litre. With the amount of driving we do it is nice to see....

Gasoline is still above $3.50 here, but it has been coming down. A barrel of oil is now $78....coming dwn from $147 in July.....when it was around $80 before our gas was right around $3.....so the b*stards are still gouging us!!!! Speaking of gas.....roasted cauliflower and garlic should generate some!

Marcia keeps blipping in and out of here....nice if she could stick around for a while.

Geez BB, you didn't charge Gary for losing the bet......I didn't realize that you had a heart when dealing with such things.....I'm impressed.

At 11:45 your sign on still showed up indicating that you were lurking, PH.....so, I'm not sure that it always works accurately.

Wow, our gas was $2.89 yesterday when I filled the tank. Heating oil is down to $2.79, down from $4.37 a couple of weeks ago. Now who thinks the cruiselines will rescind the fuel surcharge?

We're off to a wedding later on. At least the bride is getting a beautiful day. Temps in the high 60's and not a cloud in the sky!

I ordered our amenity a few days ago, but I agree the list is really sucky. Oh well, I guess it's free, so how can I argue with them? We have 45 credits before this cruise, so we have only a few more to go to get two of those wonderful amenities! I can hardly wait!

BB - glad your team won. We were up too late watching the Red Sox, but shut the TV off when Timlin came in, as we knew what the outcome would be.

Paid $3.09 this morning for gas...the kids just called from Oklahoma and gas is $2.45!! Crazy...It's amazing how quickly gas would go up....20 cents in one day wasn't unusual, but it doesn't come down as quickly.

Worked in the yard this morning...brought some mums to add color to the pool area...and did some major weeding behind the boat garage. Now just resting and doing laundry...

Rita, I'm absolutely sure that if you really asked nicely, RCCL would be glad to reduce or eliminate your fuel surcharge.....let me know how that goes, willya?

The fuel surcharge is just like the other cut backs the cruise lines are making.......it'll never ever go back to the way it was......the cruise lines are working hard to have us except and expect less. The airlines did an excellent job of having us pay to take our clothes on the plane with us....amazing! Pretty soon they will have us bring our own oxygen bottles with us incase of cabin pressure loss.

How come then Carnival is doing away with the surcharge then?? I didnt read the whole thing but thought that was the title of the story..........Only place I know they lowers the fuel surcharge quickly is Dennis job......it has come down quite a bit unfortunately.....

NEVER again will I make that cauliflower and garlic...................had to drizzle oil on it and bake at 500 in the top half of the oven.........when I came in from cooking the steak, the house was full of smoke.......the oil was popping and hitting the heating elements in the stove...........Im suing Rachel Ray for a dumb idea...............


I think I signed off around 11:10 last night,San..........guess it takes awhile for my name to disappear......

The gas station we got gas at today(that was 3.17) was down to 3.08 when we went back out...............3 horus later when we came home,it was back to 3.17..........now is that screwy or what?????????

Doors and windows are all still open, I wish this weather would last till after Thanksgiving at least. Right..... Dream on.

Gas around here is below $3.00..... and of course I have a full tank on the Jeep....

Just had cold meat sandwiches for dinner.... Easy to do..... Oh yes, and horseradish pickles..... San, you would love those..... Sure cleared the head out.......

oh,I bet Dennis would love those pickles too..............he loves stuff like that...........I cut up some cucumbers(the long skinny kind that comes in saran wrap) and put them in a jar I had (full of juice) from the time I got Boars head pickles.........I keep the juice and make my own....................this morning Dennis said I should add haberneros to it.....NO THANKS,I said.........

PH - careful. If any of the Tampa team's officials are monitoring this site, you may get a bill from them for $10 for referring to the team as the "Devil"Rays. They are now the "Rays" and their lawyers have been sending notices to the sports writers telling them that they will be subject to a $10 fine if they refer to the team by its old name. LOL

Happy Thanksgiving, Andrea and Monty. Our meal at yesterday's wedding was Turkey with all the fixins so it was like Thanksgiving here as well.

Back from the beauty parlor. Just barely made it into the house before the heavens opened up. That was close! I'd have hated to have turned into a drowned rat before Bert gets to see it.:

Bill - Ha! I didn't know the team name was changed either. We live so close to Tampa, but never got the word. Go figure!! I'm not a baseball fan, so I guess that's one reason I didn't know.
That Gator victory really was sweet! This is a by week for the Gators, so who knows ... Maybe some of the top 4 teams will move out of our way!:lol

Hi all,

Headed out early to go Hallmark (picked up Nov. and Dec. cards and two Christmas ornaments). One for Ed (the Fire truck series) and one for me (the New York Central) engine.... Then to Krogers to pick up some groceries.......
Then came home and put stuff away, got the cards all signed and names on them. Then had lunch......

Then Carl came in the putter room and took a nap.......

While I watched Y & R and read. I have steaks out for dinner.........

Still wonderful weather but Nav. and Lee are sending a Canadian clipper this way for late in the week........ Rain and good bit cooler.......

OOPS.had no clue they changed names............I REALLy dont follow any sports except when FL makes any big games(Super Bowl,World Series,Stanley Cup,etc)..then I root for them............still dont watch it though.. well, I did watch the Stanley Cup on the SR with Andrea and Monty.....even had a TB Lightning shirt!!

Nice do,BB............doesnt it feel soooooooooo good to get your hair done.........got highlights done today too............get that twice a year........

Well, we did go out to lunch............Sonnys........Dennis is sleeping and will get up at 9(if he sleeps that long),so no going out to dinner.......
