Thanks everyone for the well-wishes for my friend. She is quite the woman. Her husband was shot on a Bus when he arrived home from a church business trip in 1970. The girls all went to college and one even got a Doctorit (sp?) degree. One was a teacher for years and then went to work for the State of Michigan in our Capital in Lansing. 3 of them are my age give or take a year. We all grew up together. Hope it all works out for Dorothy. She's a go getter at 90.
Gotta go......need to go do some bills.

KC and others: No word yet today on my friend Dorothy. I don't want to call her Daughter (Carol) to bug her. I know how upset she is to begin with. Think I might make something "Sweet" and take it over later if it doesn't snow. Amazing how we all turn to FOOD in these situations.

PH: You'll be happy to know we got warmer through the NIGHT and up to 35 this morning and now it's going down QUICK....we're at 30 as I'm typing. It's suppose to be really cold tonight and tomorrow.

Okay, I'm off to find out how Art's research on just what Medicare and Blue/Cross Blue Shield covers when you're in the hospital in a foreign country. He already came in and told me to forget Medicare. However,if you're traveling from the USA through Canada on your way to Alaska you are covered by Medicare.
Can't wait to hear what he has to say about BC/BShield and what countries it covers!! I know you can buy Travel/Health insurance for cruises......does that mean you can buy it for land vacations too??

I'm not blue, K2. Kc was asking me what I did at Xerox, so I answered her. We then were talking about how the company is not the Co it was at the beginning of the millenium.

Rained here yesterday and showers this morning......we really need rain.....driest January on record.....little snow in the Sierra.

Well SAN, as soon as it snows enough over here I'll try and package it all up and ship it off to California so you can keep your moisture levels up!!
Fed-X is just going to love me for that shipment!!
Waiting for the little Mini-Dashound to get here to set up his fencing outside between the houses. These people are driving me nuts over this dog already. :girly
But we use to have a DOG and I was the same way. Nothing was too good for my little pooch!!
Going to church at 4:30 and then to our hall for a dinner tonight. It's a program for the Sunday School kids and Ashley has a few lines to read,so we MUST show up!! JOY JOY!!

San, no sale till next month... My dad called me at 7:30 this morning to ask me what time my sale started!
The lady was supposed to come sort today, but had to go out of town, so she's going to try to come tommorrow. She still doesn't think it's going to take them that long, we'll see, better her than me anyhow!
Think I am catching a cold, woke up with a sore throat this moring & just snuffly all day. Wish I had some rum I'd make a hot toddy, wonder if hot buttered rum works with cognac??o

90 yr old Dorothy Update. The blood she has gotten seems to be working. She is stable. Might get airlifted to a USA hospital here at home early this week. Keep praying for her best. Thanks.

I'm sure Dad will be around too! The lady was here this afternoon & the sale is being moved up to Feb. 10 & 11. She said all they have left to do now is pricing & she will do that the Friday before the sale. Sounds good to me, one of her "helpers" bought $170 worth of stuff today. Not sure if I liked the idea of him getting 1st pick, but money is money I guess.

No rain today, but quite a bit yesterday, K2.....we have a lot of catching up to do.
John and Angelia are in Nevada this weekend for their anniversary. When they crossed the Sierra on Friday, there was hardly any snow.....there should be some up there now after our storms moved east last night.....could be a fun drive home. They have All Wheel Drive, though.
