It's going to be a HOT one over here for the next WEEK!! Yikes in the 90's. Nice out on the deck right now.

We have to go to Downtown Detroit at Noon'ish to Greek Town for the Farewell/Good Bye luncheon for one of our church choir directors who is moving to Conn. Lucky him!! He gets out of Detroit/Metro area! Hee Hee.The Grass is always GREENER on the other side!!

me el cheapo has been without meds for a week.....so i go to cal lin a refill and they will be off all next week... Bummer especially since i did something and now i am in major pain...
gonna swim for a bit maybe that willl help then home to try to relax mediatate to ease the pain tried tyleno tat di dnot work.... oh well
have a greAT SUNDAY WE HAVE been getting in the poll early so that w do it beofre the rains set in...

Ruttie: Doesn't your Dr have another Dr taking over his EMERGENCY CALLS while he's gone. They usually just don't leave you hanging like that. Call the office and maybe you'll get the Answering SERVICE person and they'll direct you to the Dr ON CALL. You should know better than to CHEAP OUT on your PAIN pills. Do without some other things, but for heavens sake take care of yourself. What are we going to do with you?? :cool:

PH: Walking outside is better for your general outlook.....as long as it's early enough and not too hot or humid out!! :daisy

Lunch downtown went well. They're building the new GREEK TOWN CASINO right now and they took down the old parking structure and have half of the new building up already. WOW......it's really big (for Detroit).

Went into the old Casino and blew $30. It was fun, but it goes so quickly. Sure glad I'm too cheap to blow anymore than that. I wouldn't do go gambling in Vegas or with Eddie, Negc!!

Off to sit down and rest for awhile.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.
Friday, took off half day from work...had purchased new carpet for the living room, and they were coming to install it. Sort of nice not having to work all day...plus the installers were on time and were pretty quick, so I got to go to Beall's for a little retail therapy.
Saturday, worked around the house and Gary mowed the lawns. Finished just be for the deluge of rain we had.
Today, my mom and her friend, Kathy, came up for a visit. Kathy will be joining my mom on the cruise in September (Carnival Liberty). I did a plate of fresh fruit for snacking, then roasted a turkey breast with all the trimmings. Made a key-lime mango pie and a fresh pineapple upside cake.

San-Good luck on Tuesday.

PH: I know what you mean about walking more inside than outside. Sometimes that works for me, but usually I do better outside.[/size]

K2, it was 77 when I headed out for work this morn. they are calling for more rain this afternoon...

Pq, Now I know what smelled so good yesterday, that turkey breast sounds soooo good!!

Yes, we do KC(talk about food)......to me food is more fun than shopping....

Already did my treadmill and workout,K2....to me I enjoy walking in front of the tv.......the neighborhood is boring....

PQ--get anything good at bealls??? I think that is my favorite store to shop at when I really need something.........I browsed around Macys yesterday...........they had formals 1/2 off plus some nice night time cruise dresses BOGO!! I resisted though.......I still have some of the killer sale formals in my closet with the BURDINES tags on them..

I got another 5% off the dress I'm wearing to the wedding Sat. Had a coupon and took it back and they made a additional adjustment!! I also went to the jewelry supply shop and picked up some Sarwarski (sp>) crystals and am going to make some earring to go with the dress! I'll be styling!!

OUt of here for now. STAY COOL everyone......and DRY if possible.

Okay FOLKS.........just watched a Police chase somewhere in Dallas area......WOW.......they sure were going FAST. In and out of traffic and on and off the freeway, but they threw out one of the Spike strips and he finally stopped and they dragged his SSA out of the SUV. I think he'll be having a sore shoulder right about now.

Quiet on here today. Miss the CHATTER!! Everybody cooking a huge dinner for tonight!! :chef =huh Might be the "HEAT" getting to everyone.

SAN: What are you up to today? Is your procedure a "out-patient" type of thing tomorrow?

Kasey: Is it still raining over by your area?

Art's still scrapping away at the front section of the house. He's got some of the EVES off and really getting into this job!!

I'm making him a BIG HEARTY dinner tonight.

K2, no, it quit raining Sat. evening....

I had a ham, cheese & mushroom omlett for dinner, potatoes & onions sauteed in some olive oil & 2 thin slices of multi grain bread... it was yummy!

san, hope you are doing ok....we're thinking of you & wish you the best tommorrow....

K2 - Teacher's come back 8/14, kids back on 8/20. They lifted the hiring freeze and the principals are going crazy hiring for all instructional and non-instructional positions.
Actually, I've made 3 pineapple-upside down cakes in the last couple of weeks.:D

PH - Beall's had 50% off of slashed clearance, 50%, for a total of 75% off. Picked up a purse, some shoes, capris and a couple of shirts.

San - Hope everything goes well for you tomorrow. My thoughts are with you.

KC - Hope everything is okay with Bandit.

Well, HK's on and need to check the other threads.

It's already starting to warm up outside and you can just feel the humdity climbing. The ELECTRIC COMPANY will be getting a good hunk of our money today and the rest of the week for the A/C being on. Oh well......beats roasting in here.

Have a good day everyone! My project for today is to make myself a pair of earrings to match my dress for Sat's wedding. I bought the stuff yesterday. Hope I remember how to do it. It's been a awhile since I've done any jewelry making. :help
