K2 - Your rain came over here instead! We're under severe t-storm warnings until 5:45, but the worst is already over and the sky is starting to clear. Got pretty dark and noisy there for a while. The lights even went off for a few minutes too!

Been reading all afternoon as there was nothing else to do with all the rain. Now I'm bored!

evening everyone.. we had a doozy of a storm here also.. after my hair appointment i took the boys to the mall was tons of people there ended up spending alot longer than i had planned there bougth a new pair of shoes, a basket of goodies from bath and body works it is a new scent called tranquil mint got the body wash, bath fizzies, and plug in scent my room smells yummy now i love the smell of mint.....
any way i really had planned on cooking homemade baked raviolies but decided when i got home i was going to enjoy my clean house for a whole night so we ordered pizza instead.. i tried teh stuffed crust from pizza hut it was really good..
I am gonna watch house hunters now.. and try to call it a nigth although last night i found BIG BROTHER after dark on showtime and it at least kept me from being so bored while i was awake.. I have decided that i was stressing so much about not sleeping that i was making it worse even thought i am not sleeping i am not tired the next day so I am just gonna stop worrying and eventually i will get tired..
I tried all day to book a cruise but they did not have any availability for the SOS or the marinerfrom now until school starts Bummer I thought i had teh SOS booked for august 10the or something liek that they only had teh royal suite or grand suite but when she trie dto plug all 4 in it said teh cruise was too full???!!!!! weird but oh well I really need to savethe money anyway it is a bit discouraging thiough becasue i cannot get a room at disney vero either they are booked I would really like to do something close by for a few days any ideas????
Next week we are going to do the space center try out their new launch ride..has anyone done it yet????
well i better go my little guy is wanting to snuggle with mommmie.. TGIF tomorow..

Ruttie.......I bought 2 Yankee Candles that smell like mint last month at the FL mall.........they had super sales going on.the largest size was only $12 compared to $25ish....tons of candles on sale......Yankee Candles are the best...

Im surprised the Sovereign is so sold out...........cant get 2 cabins??? Anyway, hope you slept ok......

Never been to the new ride at NASA...havent been to NASA in a long time..

Good Morning GANG!

Well, a storm came through Detroit yesterday and left it's MARK big time in some areas. We in the Suburbs were very lucky. Nothing happened over here, just got "Chilly" and we slept good with the windows open.

It's only 64 degrees right now!! But SUNNY! Airing out the house right now!

I have a Beef Roast going on my Farberware Rostisserie from E-Bay. Dinner should be a good one tonight.I do it in the garage on a small table and it saves the house from smelling up and getting hot.

You all have a GREAT DAY. TGIF to Kasey, PQ, GM, Dave & Kathi too.

Thats a great idea about cooking out in the garage to keep the smell down... i have never tried a rotisserie roast??!! I have done the chicken do you just by a hunk of meat and stick it on and let it spin???? What kind of meat doyou buy?? I love eye of round roasts.. Lately when i do one i buy teh seasoned oven bag form mccormicks (i think) I love the way it comes out.. Bt then i like a dry roast and eye of rounds are really dry...
Ph i thought it was weird also we asked about 2 cabins but they onlyhad the suite available i was so desperate to cruise i said go ahead and price it but then they came back and said teh ship was full in capacity must be a lot of families in 1 cabin to casue that to happen....
I was going to goto Old navy to buy clothes for the boys but decided to try online forst and see if i caould save myself a drive they have free shipping so i bought most f their clothes thisd morning,, good hing i have boys and they dontl care what they where.
mom and i are gonna take a drive down to idianatlantic to FRIENDLY'S for lunch they have the best kids menu...

Just looked........only 2 cabins available are 2 F1s on deck 7 .all the way forward......one on each side of the ship....cost for each cabin a little over 1000!

Same price cabins available for the MJ on Aug 10th.side by side on deck 5...

Ruttie: It was a boneless rib-roast that I got in Downtown Detroit at one of the wholesale meat shops I shop at. I really don't think a Rib-Eye would be very good on a Rotisserie. Not enough fat to baste it as it went around.

Anyways, the roast is done and "RESTING" right now to allow the juices to stay inside itself. I'll slice it and heat it up with some AuJus gravy and potatoes later tonight. The GARAGE SMELLS SO GOOD right now!!

I think I need to start taking some VITAMINS......just not feeling up to any worthwhile projects over here today. Might be the CHILL in the air causing the slow-down!! Hee Hee

Got a e-mail from my sister-in-law's brother this morning. He just found out he has Stage 3 lung cancer. Smokes like a chimney. Says he's having a hard time stopping even with the bad news. LIKE....get a life buddy! Yikes what's a take to get through to some of these kind of people.

Sorry to hear about your SIls brother,but some people wont quit smoking even if they are in an iron lung.....its a very ahrd habit to break......my mom smoked and quit........15 years later came the cancer .....you can never tell......

I bet the roast would have made your house smell good...........you dont like the smell of good food inside??

thanks for checking PH I just can't justufy paying that much for teh sovereign or teh majesty when we can getthem so much cheaoper.. AND I refuse to do those forward cabins on the that class ship that is teh placement that i had teh cabin from hell right by the anchor that literally rolled us out of bed every morning..... I think i will just save my money...... I even tried a 7 day on mariner and they were booked through september!!!
Thats too bad about your sordove brother in law by default k2 My grandma had lung cancer anbd still piffed till the day she died...

Good morning.

Back from Breakfast with the guys at Flames on Santa Teresa Boulevard.
Did my goowill run.
Washed the Pontiac and then fueled it $3.059 at Arco.

Matthew is flying home from Dallas this afternoon. I think he had a good time there....tried some really nice restaurants each ningt. Sunday, Mexican - Tuesday, Cajen - Wednesday, a really nice steak house.....don't know where he went last night.

Joseph has been really sick with a virus....but finally seemed to be cured as we left Watsonville last night.

It's really nice over here right now. LAZY SuMMER day for sure. Nice cool breeze coming in. They say we're in for 90's + next week! Better enjoy this while it's here. Good Sleeping again tonight!!

PH: I like the smell of cooking in the house, except FISH, I just didn't want it to HEAT the place up after I cooled it off!!

SAN: Hope you don't end up SICK in a few days from Joseph's virus!: Those kids love to pass things around.

By the way.....whatever they are giving our Eric for his Allergies is working.......his NOSE didn't drip once while he was here and he didn't SNORE at night!! The kid needs to thank me for telling his parents he needed to be tested!! He can also, HATE me for the picking of his back too!!

Waiting for our Sweet Potato to get done and then it's CHOW time over here.

Just came in.........I was reading and I only lasted about 30 mins cuz it is too hot....I am sweating........

I have no plans for dinner K2...can i join ya???Even though I am full from my double scoop waffle cone.........that thing was huge..........I didnt even eat half........stuck the rest in the freezer.............I just couldnt decide between 2 flavors so I got one of each..

So I take it,KC emailed you about her break???

So what about BB?? I did see her on this morning....BB-no breaks allowed...

The Sky-Writer plane was just over our area and Art came in to get me to see it. He wrote out "AIR SHOW"...... too cool. There's a big airshow at the Air Force base not far from here tomorrow. My nephew lives REALLY close and sits on his deck and gets to watch it right at home.

PH-We just went to Brusters after hearing so much about it. Didn't do the waffle cone (watching those calories, don't you know), but had the Raspberry swirl yogurt, Gary had the strawberry. Wayyyy too good. Brandy was allowed a little of mine since it was yogurt.

Very quiet on here, must be all the good weather. We are planning on going to St. Augustine tomorrow to chill (well, bake) at the beach. Then we will walk around town a little and get some dinner. We've never eaten at Columbia Restaurant, so maybe we'll see about going there if the crowds aren't to large.

Work is still busy, but at least it's better than being bored. The parents of one of our student workers is going on the Carnival Liberty the same time as us. So we were email each other today. They have 24-28 in their group, most from Ocala. They are chartering a bus to Ft. Lauderdale, so we are thinking of joining them. She lives over by Bob Wines Nursery and we could take the bus from there.

PQ-I think I heard on the radio Brusters has doggie ice cream...I forgot to ask them......

Their sugar free/fat free ice cream is very good.......

I sampled the strawberry ice cream today........it was good......

PQ: Make sure to take your "American Express Card" with you to Columbia......the food is good, but not inexpensive! The Sangaria is wonderful. Buy the little Pkg of Sangaria Mix and you can make it home with Pinor Noir wine. It was $3.50 a pkg and I followed the instructions and then doctored it up with a can of Sprite, orange slices,lime slices and a Red apple cut up in small squares it was as good or BETTER than their!! OH.......I put 2 jiggers of Volka in it too!!
