Kc, had not heard that. I love that cruise. Usually they follow the Trans Atlantic and before heading to the Caribbean. Don't know why they would not do it. Strange.

Bill, I asked for and got flowers for both voyages....we got the slippers automatically with the robes...both trips....got the same darn toilet kits both trips again....got ten of them now! Hope you guys will book the Baltic, we'd love to see you there....gotta work on a couple of other people....you know, like Dennis and Kathy.....she really needs to see Norway seeing as she cancelled the wrong cruise back in 2002:) (Remember that, Kathy?) Don't know about HS, but Art would fit right in too (HeHe He.)..just kidding, HS, I really think you should try it.....it'd be a hoot.

Kc, they are not doing Canada New England next year....just Celebrity on 11 nighters.......It was a good trip...I'd do it again, given the chance. We have nothing scheduled for 2007....when we do, it will be somewhere to the north...not the Caribbean...gotta get creative and see what I can come up with.....maybe just a TransAtlantic. Love to have you come along. BTW, you and GM could do the Baltic with us instead of where you're going.....same ship, better itinerary and better company.

KC & Marcia - RCI is not doing Canada/NE next year on Enchantment. Too bad, because those ports are terrific. Don't know why, except maybe the ships weren't as full as they would like them to be. Jewel is doing Bermuda & Caribbean next year after it's transatlantic.
San - welcome home to you and Nancy. Sorry I couldn't make lunch. I definitely got the short end of that deal. QM2 was OK - too dark for my taste. Also, don't like the idea that your cabin selection determines your dining assignment - not only that, but did see a number of areas marked "Queens Grille Guests Only", and really don't like the "class" ideas Guess that's why they insist QM2 is an "Ocean Liner" and not a 'Cruise ship". Also, all balconies are carved out of the hull, making them unattractive, IMHO. QM2 had a heavy cigarette smell that turned me off. Also, seemed to have a lot of unused space - large areas of the deck were just teak decking - no chairs, no lounges (and no people). Had lunch(beef tenderloin) in Brittania restaurant (one for the common folks), and it was just OK. Dessert was chocolate souffle - which was not thoroughly cooked so the middle was yucky! Solarium pool was unattractive, but the spa pool was gorgeous, even if it was totally inside and smelled of too much eucalyptus for me.
We spent almost two hours outside looking at the Enchantment before we were allowed on - I kept an eye out for you and Nancy, but never did find you - guess you stayed onboard for a bit.
Read your account of your EN trip - Quebec City is truly a beautiful place to visit. Did you get to ride the funicular? We stayed at the Chateau Frontenac a few years ago - view is spectacular and we commented how nice it would be to cruise up the river and dock at the foot of the city. You are lucky to have had that experience.
Welcome home - maybe we can get together on your next Boston trip (or our next left coast trip, you just never know!)
And I didn't bother to sign himself off, so it really is me.

Sorry we missed you Rita....we left the ship around 1 to meet Bill...didn't think of wandering down the pier to try to find you. Actually, I was afraid that if they saw you with Riff Raff like me they would not let you aboard QMII. It would have totally turned me off if they made me wait two hours to board.

San, I'm sure the company on the Baltic would be Delightful but the $$$ would definately be to much for my budget. Maybe if you decide to do Alaska again or maybe even a Pacific Coastal. I know it would have to be just a weeks cruise though, I can't get away with taking both weeks together every year.

Hi Mouse, Nice to see you around. Doesn't sound like the QM would be my cup of tea either, bet they don't have Karaoke Idol any night either! :)

Good Morning all,

Hi Mouse, good to hear from you also. I agree, I loved arriving in Quebec by river and walking around the old town and then taking the funicular to the top. While we did not stay at the Chateau Frontenac we did go inside and walk around. Then walked around some of the walled city. We love the "artist street". I would not mind taking that one again.

San, when you decide what to do "north" for 2007 give me some ideas. We watched a DVD on South America and also wish RCI would do a cruise of the southern parts. Great places to see, open and wild.

Everyone, have a good day. This afternoon we had to Cincinnati Eye Institure again.

See ya later..

GM....I was thinking about posting a little review as I was flying home on Sunday.....I kind of like to reflect on the things that I have done on a trip and focus on the things that had the most impact on me.....there are four pictures of Nancy that I took in amongst some birch trees in Newfoundland that take me right back there when I see them....the leaves are changing color and falling all around her.....a really nice warm fall day in a beautiful place.....oh yea, Nancy ain't too shabby either.

Marcia...Dub and I walked up the hill to get to the Car Rental place...great exercise....Budget and Hertz were't really that close to the funicular....it would have taken us out of our way. I was looking at the Celebrity brochure last week....they have several trips in South America........several down around Argentina and Chile, including the Faulklands...which is where I would like to go. Then the Navigator is supposed to come to the West Coast in 2007......so that should present some South America opportunities. Guess those are not to the north....I guess i should start saying cruises closer to the poles

Kc, the Coastal is always a possibility for us....we'll go any time...price is reasonable....makes a good gettaway....some pretty good diverse ports also. Sometimes you can time a TransAtlantic so it is over two weekends and only costs you a little over a weeks vacation....they're a lot cheaper than the European ones.

There were 1,300 passengers from Quebec on the second leg of our trip, Rita....I heard that they were offering really great deals....like $529 CDN for them....hardly a big money maker....plus there were four ships in port both days in QC.

San, I knew what you meant. R said that there are a lot of people looking for the trip to being a Voyager ship to the West Coast and for that reason. He has tried to talk to the powers that be to get them to do a South America trip. Wonder if I can copy the DVD onto a tape for you. It includes the Faulklands. I'll see what I can do. I saw that Celebrity and Princess do that area. In fact I picked up a brochure also when we saw our TA.

Carl has a class reunion luncheon at noon today. So we will be back later.....
