Checking in quickly. I'm home. What a Guardian Angel Jean is.

I let Pucci watch me dress my knee this morning. He sat quietly, looked, and at the first opportunity, tried to jump on my knees. :( So much for "show and tell".

Yesterday was a LONG and tiring day for me - and, I know, for poor Jean. We dropped Pucci off for grooming, then I went to the hairdresser. After that, Jean took me to the cemetery to visit my parents and she, her husband. Yesterday was my Mother's birthday and, also, the day she died. :bawl: We stopped at a gas station and I filled up the tank in Jean's SUV. Then, we went to pick up a pair of glasses I had ordered, stopped in at church at my request, picked up Pucci, stopped to pick up one of my prescriptions that was ready, and limped back to Jean's house. We both were exhausted.

So now, I'm in the office again.

:thankyou::thankyou::thankyou: to those who have been kind enough to respond here, email me, call me. You are dear to me!

Mary Ann, glad you are at home. Your day sounded exhausting. I'm sure Pucci was just trying to give you some comfort. Poor Pucci, he just wants you better.

I need to go to the cemetery myself to put flowers on the grave. The weather is finally breaking a bit but I have a feeling this visit is going to be rough. Sorry you had a sad visit there too.

I have not been on the boards all week and am very sorry to read of your fall Mary Ann. How unfortunate.

I send warm wishes and cyber hugs to you from cold and snowy Minnesota.

I'll have you on my prayer list as well.

Glad to hear you and Pucci are at home! Just be careful and try to avoid getting too tired. Do we need to get you some knee pads to protect you from Pucci's jumps??????

I'm sending the air inflated Sumo wrestler outfit to Arizona several months ahead of time just in case she gets wild and takes another tumble. If Mama Duck falls, she will bounce!

All I can keep saying is THANK YOU.

Although it has deservedly become a joke, I DO have a terrible fear of tripping/falling now. I guess I'll need to get protective gear every time I venture forth. :madd:

Seriously Mary Ann...when my son had his knee surgery, the ortho. surgeon said that he would make a special brace for him. This is what he uses when he's wake-boarding or snow-boarding. It's not a big thing, it's very light-weight, slim and plastic. When worn, it protects and stabilizes the knee. It was covered by his insurance too.

You may want to consider this. It can be worn under slacks and no one would even know you had it on.

Something to think about, anyway...

Patty - great suggestion. Thank you. I'll run it by my Orthopedic Surgeon when I see her on Tuesday.

My problem is that anything around my knee doesn't stay there - it keeps slipping down my leg no matter how tightly it's fastened. The knee immobilizer placed on my knee after my big flop wouldn't stay put!
