Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Karen I have a feeling you had all those choir members show for practice because they heard the “director“ is resigning after Easter service! Maybe he’ll change his mind now with all the singers showing up.
And your choir always sounds good on the Sundays I watch the Live Feed.
Wow on you getting into the 90’s down your way. We got up to 60F here, but with the crazy high winds it still was chilly for this Michigander!

Good for you getting into the pool! I think unless folks here have the heater set to 95 degrees they’d have to wait until at least June to get in their backyard pools….if even then. Pools in Michigan are really a waste of good money.
Speaking of pools, does Barb or Jane still have the pool you worked so hard on the stairs to get in it, or is it gone? Just can’t remember if I asked about this before or not??

Lee: I hope Ava is feeling better each day. It’s times like these that you wish our pets could talk and tell us just how they feel. Hugs to Ava!

Mike: Here’s a few things to go with the Coffee Lee left you. Oh heck, there’s enough for everyone! Enjoy.

Good morning!
Yes Karen. I was wondering the same thing as Kathie about the bumper turn out for choir practice. Is everyone hoping the director would consider staying on if your numbers were to go up. You were about 20 degrees warmer than we were yesterday. Today we’re 20 degrees cooler than yesterday. By next Tuesday we’re barely above freezing!
Ava is still having troubles Kathie. We dropped a sample at the vet yesterday just to be sure there’s no nasty stuff going on in her tummy. They sent home a medication to help firm things up too. The vet said they have seen a number of gastro issues this spring, likely associated with all the rain. Ava doesn’t get into standing water at home or at the park. Those pasteries sure look good.
Mike, I’m willing to bet we can interest you in a pastry to go with your coffee.
Today the ladies have their Friday morning coffee get together. They alternate between the small coffee shops and bakeries in town. Can you believe we now have five small independent shops plus Tim’s and Starbucks! My two favourites are Caffeine & Co and Bucket List. They both have nice baked goods that they bake in house.
Everyone have a Good Friday. Time for me to get Ava’s breakfast and medication ready.

I wish Brian would change his mind about retiring, but he has health issues that have really made playing difficult for him this past year, so the best we can hope for is he will sub for us sometimes. The increase in members last night was 1 lady came back after knee surgery, another lady lost her husband a few weeks ago & Jim, the guy who "retired" a few weeks ago and showed up last Sunday morning to sing. He really is dealing with some memory issues so not sure how much longer he will be able to attend. Time to get a move on & go pick up sod, I'll take one of those yummy pastries for the road

Karen: Congrats on your 8 year Anniversary in your home. WOW.... time fly's when you're having fun. You've done a great job on your place and patio, etc, etc. Everything you do is for a good purpose and done well. Keep up the good work. Least I say .....that it never ends! ;)
Happy Sodding.

Thank goodness it's not as big of an area as this! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Lee: Hope Ava improves with the new meds. Squirts are the worse for our fur babies. I remember those days when we had our dear Bishon/Annie!

Mike: So, did you pick out a winner SWEET ROLL or DONUT from the picture? I bet you wish it was REAL! Ha ha

Okay, I'm off with my Grocery List to Kroger's. Friday is 4x's Points for gas day! Gotta save money where and when I can these days. Can't wait to see how much COFFEE BEANS and GROUND COFFEE will cost us with all the tariffs. We don't grow coffee beans in the USA.
I can just imagine how much coffee with be in people's suitcases coming back from HAWAII these days. No tariffs on the coffee, but SHIPPING CHARGES are out of sight coming from there.
Okay enough of that.

Still love my Canadian friends!

thank you Lee. I had some cake with it. I hope Ava is feeling better.
We are getting a lot of rain and have flood warnings. Right now it is a heavy rain, I'm pretty sure the ground is saturated,
Karen, we need to reseed where the large tree was taken down and a few other places. I'm glad we didn't do it sooner, if we did all of the seeds would be washed away.
glad Art's neck it feeling better K2, nice that he can bike so soon after the procedure. I use to use a BB gun to scare away the birds from my cherry tree, just wouldn't put BBs in the gun

The answer to your question K2 is yes.
Lee, a pastry. They all looked too good to have just one.
I am guessing you are settled in by now

Mike: Your BB-Gun idea without putting in any BB’s is cleaver and safe. I just could never see me buying any kind of gun…even a Starter Gun that is used in races. I’ll just use a pie tin and metal spoon to make noise to scare the squirrels and black birds away and also my trusty HOSE when it warms up and I’m outside on the deck! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

While at the grocery I noticed the shelf where CROWN ROYAL BOOZE is usually and it only had 2 bottles on it! I’m thinking there are people who are stocking up before the prices go way up!
Thank goodness I’m not a big booze drinker. I’m a tad worried about paying more for some foreign WINES. But luckily we DO have a lot of good US wineries.

Okay, it’s late. Have a good Sat all. It’s suppose to rain here most of the day.

Mike I hope your weather improves.

Like Kathie, we’re supposed to see a rainy day here too. Actually the next few days feature off and on rain.
I’m glad I didn’t start our yard work either Mike. A good reason to enjoy coffee and a pastry.
I think I need to hire Karen and her crew to tidy our lawn and gardens.
We don‘t drink any hard liquor Kathie. But we do enjoy a GLASS (note the big glass) of wine. We just started another batch of Cabernet Sauvignon at the make your own wine store. We liked the first batch we made and it works out to $6.50 a bottle! When the trade war started the liquor stores here pulled ALL US made beer, wine and liquor off the shelves.
Kona coffee from Hawaii and Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee are tow of my favourite coffees. Even before tariffs they had priced themselves out of our budget!
The vet called yesterday about Ava. Her sample came back clear. Whew! No parasites. But if she’s still having issues they want to see her. We won’t know until she “goes” after breakfast.
Kathie nailed it…ALWAYS SOMETHING!
Well, you all have a wonderful Saturday. See you later on.

Dan Rather posted this on a site: HIRE CLOWNS GET A CIRCUS! How true!

Gloomy outside and 47F. Light rain stopped earlier. A good day for me to tackle scrubbing Art's shower tile. He uses BAR SOAP and I swear it causes the scum on the lower ends of the shower. I asked him if for 2 weeks he could just use the LIQUID men's shower soap to see if it doesn't scum up like the bar soap. We'll see if that helps.

Okay, time to transfer a load of wash to the dryer. I was just passing through this computer area and had to check on my HUTCH FAMILY!

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Karen you could send UP some of that 90 degree weather you're having down there! It's always nice to share! :emoticon 0109 kiss:

Lee: How's Ava doing today?

Back AGAIN! Picture time.
Today was clean-up day at our church. We have a most generous parishioner that for the 3rd year has brought in his heavy-duty equipment to help him patch and paint areas of the church. Unfortunately, we have had "leaks" that always find a new area to erupt in the ceiling.

This equipment actually just fit through the front doors and down the aisle. AMAZING.

Oh, hi “back again”.
Those mobile lifts are not cheap to rent! I remember that from my days at the sign shop. What a beautiful church.

Kathie, you and Art drove past the Crown Royal facility when you came from The Navy Yard to our place. It’s pretty well hidden behind nice trees and shrubs opposite The River.
Any Canadian worth their salt has eaten Poutine! Extra points if you’ve had poutine in Quebec. It’s a delicious dish, simple to make and tastes great!
Ava is now on the same meds she had 4 years ago when she had tummy troubles. We have a vet appointment on Tuesday that we’re hoping to cancel if things improve.
We just came back from seeing our old neighbours from Ayr. Myles had a hockey game in Tecumseh, about 30 minutes from here. It was so good to see them. Anybody with them as neighbours has great neighbours.

Kathie, here I was all excited because we had 8 people show up for our work day & then you go & post those pic, way to burst my bubble! Your church is lovely though, leaks or no leaks.

Lee, hoping Miss Ava's tummy settles down soon, no fun when our fur babies are sick. So far Hansel seems to finally gotten over his tummy issues.

Hi Mike!

And that's my check in for Sat, the sun today just took me out so I see an early bedtime for me tonite. Prayers for all of you tomorrow in church!

It got up 64 degrees today buy rained all day. A lot of clouds the past couple of day.
I hope you sleep well tonight Karen.
I hope the new old meds work for Ava Lee. Good luck for her on Tues. Isnt it nice to see old friends.
that was very generous of the parishioner K2. Any large tool that has to be rented is expensive. Your church looks beautiful.

Karen it’s not HOW MANY Members help clean up our church properties, it’s that the folks that show up WANT to do the work and do it well.
You have a beautiful church and they’re lucky you’re one of the hard workers. :clap002:

Good to read that Hansel is better now!
Hope that Ava will keep getting better too. Vet appts are pricey.

Lee: We’re well aware of the the Hiram Walker facility on Riverside. Had to pass that place quite often when going to the Serbian church hall for choir events, weddings, etc.

But I didn’t know about the Crown Royal blending facility. Thanks for the heads up. We’ll look for it next time we come over, if CANADA lets us in for visits! Can’t blame them if they don’t.
We did appreciate the support over in Windsor today with the PROTESTS against the

“Dump-man”!
