Hi Wrabbits. Nice chatter on here.... love it.
Mike: I was thinking about you and Fay and Kathi Allen when I was watching the Weather Channel on TV. Lots of storms and warnings. Glad you are okay.
There was HORRIBLE ICE STORM damage in upper Michigan areas. I mean they had ICE that was 3 inches thick on tree branches and of course there were tree limbs all over the place. They closed down the Mackinaw Bridge because of HUGE ICE CHUNKS falling from the support cables on the bridge. Crazy.
Lee: Sure hope Ava gets better soon. Never easy watching our fur babies get sick. Sometimes being a loyal Canadian just doesn't pay. I totally HATE what's happening between our two countries. That MORON has me losing hair lately. And that's not a joke. I can't watch the MSNBC or CNN anymore because of all the BS being reported.
It's our own fault for not having stricter laws on just what a President is allowed to do and get away with it. But then again, the current Pres doesn't follow the simplest rules, so I guess it's hopeless. I hope I LIVE long enough to see him OUT OF OFFICE or better yet........well, I won't say what I'm thinking on here. Sorry for the RANK again. I said I wouldn't do it and it's just hard not to.
Karen that's FANTASTIC WORK. Sure would be nice if some MEN could do some of the lifting and moving of things for you ladies. Hope everyone notices the good work you ladies do.
Our Mission yesterday was to take a HUGE LOAD of $.10 cent returnable cans and bottles that Art has been saving up to Oxford, MI (about 45-50 mins from our house) to the police station. A Group that maintains the Bike Paths and some of the bike dirt roads uses the funds from these returnables to cover maintenance costs of miles of paths. They have a collection every Spring.
We found a new (hole in the wall) donut-burger place that Jill told us about up there and stopped and ordered 2 burgers and 2 donuts. BEST BURGER IN A LONG TIME. You could tell they take a hunk of hamburger and hand form it for the grill. It was huge and yummy.
As for the DONUTS, they remind me of how donuts use to be made and tasted from Mom & Pops type bakeries of the past. And yes, it really was a spares place inside, but the staff was so pleasant it made up for the lack of ambiance! Ha Ha. Hey, it's a burger place not a formal restaurant.
Art and I managed to tackle one issue with our getting "DEATH READY" project yesterday. At one point we were so tired from trying to figure paperwork and figures out that we realized each of us were discussing a different topic at the same time and Art was trying to get his point across to me and I was trying to get mine across to him and when we FINALLY realized we were on 2 different topics of figures we cracked up to the point of almost peeing our pants!
It was WORTH the GOOD HARDY LONG LAUGH!
And with that.........I'm out for now.
