Thanks for the video Lee, sort of hits the nail on the head. I even watched t he video with the Rock. I bet old Tom appreciated the BBQs
K2, that situation is not only sad but scarery. I know of one person who didn't think he had a problem and it was very sad. My Mother had it and could not speak and my Father could not remember names. Fay worries about it because members of her family had dementia/
We both went to the dentist today, teeth cleaning. He told me I need two teeth to come out but I knew that. I think I will wait until t hey start bothering me.

I’m not familiar with The Rock’s video Mike. Ya, when you’d call Tom you had to make sure you were home to help him lift the BBQ’s into his truck. But he always was appreciative. You and I sound alike with dental “advice”.
Our taxes aren’t due until the end of April Kathie. That’s likely about the time I’ll get to them. Ours are 2 simple lines. Line 1 - How much did you make? Line 2 - Send it. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: So sad about your elderly church people. But nice their “church family” are looking out for them. Good that your brace seems to be providing relief.
As sunny as it is here right now it is deceiving with 44F feeling like 38F.
Hi Karen.
Have a good night folks.

Quick good evening check in, lot's of running around the last couple of days, Potluck dinner at the clubhouse tonight with corned beef & cabbage. Nice turn out again too. Will try to get on tomorrow morning before church, have a great evening all!

If there’s a scent that lingers in the kitchen Karen, it’s corned beef and cabbage! That must be what kept me awake most of the night.
It’s been cold down at The Navy Yard the past few days. But we still bundle up and take Ava for her walk. The squirrels do love to see Lu-Ann coming with her bag of peanuts.
We played a card game called “Golf” for games day. With 8 people we used two decks of cards. After 9 “holes” Jim won by a single point. It was a good afternoon.
I know we have a trip to the grocery store today. Other than that, well, it’s anybody’s guess.
You all have a fine Wednesday!

Quick HELLO to let you know I'm still alive! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: And I don't want this HUTCH to go under.

Art and I have been working on WHY the my one Money Mkt Acct got 2 months of higher interest yields than his for the same months of that year??
Going to go over to the bank and see if they can figure it out. Hope we're not opening up a can of worms just so Mr Artie can conclude his research. Sometimes I think he should have been a BEAN COUNTER (financial man) instead of an ELECTRICIAN! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Karen: I LOVE a good Corned Beef Sandwich, but the cabbage part doesn't like my stomach as I get older. Can we openly say.......GAS! Ha Ha. Love how we can be so totally honest in this Hutch.

Mike: Hope you're doing well over your way. Give my love to FAY.

Lee: You get extra points for going to Navy Park and being right next to the water and wind that comes off of it with these LOW TEMPS we have going on today. :clap002::clap002: Kudos to you both.

Later folks. I have some paper work to sort out. OLD medical folders in a crate in the closet that need to get looked at and put in the metal file cabinet drawers downstairs or tossed. I have separate plastic folders for each doctor with test results and paid receipts in them. I'm sure some of this "stuff" can get tossed.
Trying to get important papers DEATH READY is a MAJOR pain in the butt. And getting ART to realize he needs to help with some FACTS & FIGURES is even harder.

He works on a totally different speed than I do. I keep telling him you are here RIGHT NOW and might NOT BE by the end of the day! DUH. Get a move on it man. Lifes happenings don't wait for you to be READY!
Sorry to be so frank, but it makes me feel better to say it out loud.

Now go and have yourselves a good day. Coffee & cookies sound like a nice idea! Enjoy

Is that cookies and coffee I smell Kathie?
My Sweetie and I went for breakfast at Caffeine & Co down by The Navy Yard. Did some groceries on the way home and then headed back downtown with Ava. My fear too is that as our numbers shrink our little hutch will disappear. Are there days when it’s hard to post? Darned right. But you all are more important to me than you’d believe.

Sure Kathie. I smell coffee just before midnight, get up, have a cup and then I’m up peeing the whole night! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
We’ve been avoiding our early morning pre dawn walks, not just because of the cold but because there have been reports of coyotes in the area. Building is encroaching on their habitats and it is mating season. Easier to avoid them than encounter them.
I think we’ll go to the drug store today. Thursdays are “Seniors Day” and all regular priced stuff is 10% off. Of course, they put just about everything on sale on Thursday but there are a few things you can still save on.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, been awake off & on since about 3:30 this morning, not sure why my sleep rhythm is so off lately but I suspect one of Dave's Beloved afternoon naps may be in my future today.

Lee, good call to move the morning walk back a little later to avoid the coyotes. Sad that wild animals get such a bad rap for being in residential areas when it was THEIR home to begin with.

Kathie, good luck with sorting, tossing or shredding all the old paper work! I have most of mine whittled down pretty good except for tax returns. I have a box in the garage with about 10 years worth of them, the most recent in the box from 2004. I "know" I could legally get rid of them, but with all the craziness going on in the country now days you just never know what "proof" you might need. Let Barb & Jane deal with when I'm gone, it's just 1 small bankers box.

Mike, don't blame you for waiting on getting the teeth removed, I'm actually surprised & impressed the dentist didn't try to sell you a root canal & a crown, more money for him in that!

Weather here is starting to warm up & be more Spring like, pollen is also out of control! The table & chairs on my screen porch are covered in green pollen.

Soup supper at church last night, sadly the dinners have not been as well attended this year, last night we had about 14 people & only 3 soups. Lots of bread & desserts though so at least people could fill up on that. I brought home 3 gal. zip lock bags of bread that had been in the church freezer from last week & am going to make bread pudding for the dinner next week.

Rev. Lisa told Pamela & I last night that our choir director is retiring after Easter, we knew he had turned in his resignation a couple weeks ago, but he's done that before & Rev. Lisa was always able to convince him to stay on, this time he wouldn't budge. It's going to be really hard to find an organist to replace him, he did a great job & there just aren't that many people who play like that anymore.

Time to get moving & get the day started, make it a good one all!

LEE, sorry about brewing that coffee late last night. You and Karen both deserve a nap today! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

I'm thinking that the Coyotes might stay clear of AVA with her being TALL, but her long legs would be vulnerable if it did come at her. We have had reports of Coyotes about a mile from us. The local neighborhood information page posts sightings now and then and warns folks to watch their "PUFF BALL PUPS" when letting them outside. Later hour walks are a great idea.

Mike are the Tierney's coming over tonight? You must look forward to getting some nice desserts when they do show up. I bet Fay is already whipping up something! Enjoy your time with them if they're coming tonight.

Karen: Sure hope somebody steps up and takes over directing your choir and playing the organ. YIKES.... that's a hard job to fill for sure. If there are any Piano Lesson places in your community, you might try calling and asking if they know of anybody that might want to take on the job. I'm sure Rev Lisa won't stop trying to get him to stay! She's a hands on person from what I see when I watch your services. Is she the only Reverend in your church?

Now about your box of taxes in the garage! We needed to find a TAX Pkg filing from 1986 yesterday and OUR STASH OF OLD TAX FILINGS ends at 1996! Yup, we have them in the metal file cabinet in the basement. Must be the older generation that saves stuff like that forever. I wonder if the IRS saves Tax filings that people send in??? Fat chance of that happening. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
I do need to call our Township office and ask if there will be a "Shred DAY" happening anytime soon. Sure would save Artie a lot of sitting in the basement shredding old papers.

I'm out of here for now. Our Biscotti container has been empty for over a week. Time to bake and fill it up. I use a recipe that requires only 1 egg. Those darn eggs are still $5 bucks a dozen at our Kroger store. I have a feeling that price will never go back down to $1.25 like it used to be.

Enjoy your day Wrabbits and hope it's warmer where you live! Ha Ha. 31F and sunny here. Frost on the grass this morning.
Oh, how I wish I could get up and do this every morning! Ha Ha. To be young again!

Geez, if I dressed like “Danny Go” I’d keep moving too. Likely away from the people chasing me for dressing like that!
It was nice down by The River this morning. A bit of a breeze but sunny.
I think that our generation does tend to keep stuff filed like you do Kathie. Of course these days everyone keeps everything ”in the cloud”.
I sure hope that Reverend Lisa is able to find a new choir leader and organist Karen. Too bad attendance at soup night has dropped off a tad. Maybe it will pick up in the spring.
I have a couple of windows to clean (inside) today. Still too cold to tackle the outside of the windows. So, I best get a move on.
Have a good day all!

We had a very nice day yesterday. One of our old dance members had a birthday party in t he retirementhome he is in and lpeople in the home were invited. Patty took Fay and I to it. I even danced?????? with a lady I used to dance with. One of the ladies is going to start having get togethers again.
Lee, I can't take too much of Danny Go. I just wish he would.
That might be difficult to find some one to take over t he organ position. I sure hope the c h urch can find some one.
The Tierney's are coming over tomorrow evening K2, Their turn to bring the goodies.

I am having problems with the computer

Mike: Glad to read you got to “dance” with your former dance partner! Hope Fay was okay with that! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: Hope the Tierneys bring something really yummy !
Wonder why my “Wacky Wrabbit” name under my Pink Bunny picture is not there now??
Mike….you sure left a lot of BLANK SPACES at the end of your post! HA HA

I managed to get those Biscotti’s made earlier. I have to hide the Tin Container and only fill up a smaller container or ART would have them GONE in a few days. The man loves to munch!

I had to take our big flag off the pole today. The Winter winds and weather took a toll on it. It got ripped and was tangled up and had to come down.
We have a “Flag” company about 1/2 hour from where I usually get our flag from. I should get an AMERICAN one and fly a CANADIAN one under it as a show of solidarity. :usa1: :canada:
You all have a good evening and a fabulous FRIDAY!
We're having Fish here at home on Friday. Hope to do it outside wrapped in foil on the grill to avoid any after odors If done inside.

It looks like we could see a rain today. Maybe even a thunderstorm. Not too far to the north and east they are bracing for a nasty weather day with freezing rain!
I had to look twice when you said your ”Wabbit” had disappeared because I could see it Kathie! Then, as I typed, I noticed my “rank” isn’t visible beside by text box. Until l’m guessing I hit “post”. Mmmm. Biscotti! I haven’t made them in a while. Now you’ve got me wanting one. Fish grilled outdoors is always a good idea.
I always scroll all the way down on Mike’s posts too. I never know if he’s left an “Easter Egg” as they call them towards the bottom. I accidentally left my thumb on the return key one post and added a ton of blank lines too. That proves it can happen to the best of us. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: I hope The Tierney’s bring a dandy snack for sharing.
I do hope your choir director will stay on until a new director can be found Karen. How is Hansel doing? Tummy issues are so difficult to get sorted with our four legged family members.
Not sure what’s up for us today. Especially if the rain comes like they’re calling for.
Enjoy your day everyone.

All I have is a FRIDAY GOOD MORNING! But hopefully I'll have more to chat about later in the day.

Lee: I thought of our former friend "Vanilla" when I saw all the empty spaces, and how she would try and post a lot to get to be the 1st new opening Page! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: Tony used to get a laugh out of her doing that.

Good morning! Thanks for the coffee & biscotti Kathy, I needed a pick me up this morning.

Broke my # 1 rule of facebook selling yesterday & hope it doesn't bite me in the butt to bad, didn't go with my gut! I had listed some old garage door screen doors for $20 on FB, had quite a few people message but none follow thru. Then there was this guy who was being kind of pushy & really wanted the doors, would pay me more than I'm asking, pay before pick up, yada, yada. I told him I would not sell the doors to someone else after a person told me they were on the way to get them, he got all nicey nice & said he understood that. Well the guy who was supposed to be on the way didn't read the ad & when he found out they wouldn't fit a 16ft door passed on them.
So dummy me, messaged the other guy back & said they were still available if he wanted them, set up a meet for yesterday & I told him MULTIPLE times they had to be picked up by 5. First he was coming between 11-12, then 12-1, then 3ish, at 3 he messaged me & said he was just leaving clermont & gps said 1-1/2 hours to my place. I told him to go on home I was not going to wait any longer, he kept saying how much he wanted those doors & he was trying to get to me, etc. I just said sorry I'm done. Then he wanted to know if the doors were accessible and he would go ahead & pick them up & leave me the cash, Oh HE!! NO! They were, but I moved them behind the gate before I left for choir practice. He got kind of snippy after that so I just quit responding to him. Then he sent me a message thru regular facebook instead of thru the sale message, saying he was sorry for the inconvenience, he would come Friday at whatever time I said, blah, blah, blah. I just told him I was not angry, but I simply had to much going on and did not know WHEN I would have time to set up another meet(NEVER) This morning I have another message from him, thanking me for the information, should he contact me in about a week, gives me his phone # to message him directly & offers to zelle me. I just deleted the message with no response, not giving him any bank info or my phone #, it's bad enough he has my address. I'm not really to worried about him showing up here, I think he's a scammer more than anything. But that is the end of home pick ups for me, if I can't meet at Walgreens I either won't sell it or if I can load it in my truck I will meet at the clubhouse, just to many crazies out there these days. Sorry for the novel, that was my Thursday & then Brian did give the choir the news that Easter was his last Sunday with us.

A’Burg Guy

Environmental Compliance Officer
I certainly don't blame you for being extra careful Karen. You are right. There are way too many "crazies" out there. And please...NEVER apologize for a post that gets something off your mind and makes you feel better.
I tried dunking the biscotti in the coffee Kathie. That was OK. But those chips you sent us just got all mushy. ;)
Lu-Ann has a medical appointment so Ava and I went for a 2km walk around the neighbourhood. We met lots of new folks who all wanted to know about her. She is still shy with some folks and goes right up to others like she's known them all her life.
I've been trying to find a live version of this song, Dancin' Shoes, for Mike but can only find the vocal. It's sung by Elton John's former drummer Nigel Olsson. A great "slow dance" tune from 1979.

Karen I think you did well with the WACKO GUY. Anybody who would want to go on and on about picking up $20 screen doors would turn me off big time.
WALGREEN meet up or NOTHING.
I wouldn't trust them even coming to the Club House. (just looking out for you kiddo)
Go with your GUT and just keep them away from your house/area! :smiley24:;)

Trying to reconcile my silly checking account statement! DUH!! Checked off all the deposits/withdrawals/online payments, etc, etc and RE-CHECKED by figures 2 times and
I'm still off $4.94 according to the banks statement.
Hate when this happens. It's most likely right in front of my "poor vision" and I just can't see it.
I'm going to put it away and deal with it another day. I don't usually give up on this kind of issue, but I'm not going to go nuts over $4.94.

Okay.......now I too feel better ranting and raving.

I don't dare turn on the TV or Radio to hear what's going on with the MORON today! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile::eek:

Back to other "fires" that need my help! Ha Ha. I don't think I have enough water pressure to put them ALL OUT!

Mike….you sure left a lot of BLANK SPACES at the end of your post! HA HA.
K2, I could not get rid of the blanks spaces. I did a back space but it wouldn't sta y there, that was just one of the problems I had yesterday. Which moron are you talking about, the one that is doing all the lying or the ones t hat belive him.
Kc, I think that guy was playing games, you did well to ignore him.
Lee, thanks for the video. After I listened to it I looked up Dancing Queen by ABBA.
