Kathi…my heart skipped a beat when I saw “fatherdave55” and the cute little guy typing away. Miss him too.
Not a easy day for you, but Dave‘s home with you and the pups. :emoticon 0152 heart:
I remember Dave telling us how he would get dressed up in his tuxedo at Christmas and deliver the oil to customers. And at the office party.
He told us great stories about the Meals on Wheels deliveries too. Dave was one special soul. Know that we miss him and his morning greeting on the way back from the bathroom run!
And oh how he loved Fuzz Butt. ( not sure if that was Zoey or Jack) We loved the stories about both of them.

Kathi…Like Lee said…PLEASE come by and chat with us. Somebody has to let us know if your daughter-in-law is having another baby! :emoticon 0136 giggle: And if you’re going to Home Depot to do crafts with one of the grandkids. All those grandkids will keep you busy. Take care - Keep in touch.
Big hugs to you.

Good Morning! WOW.... is it WINDY here! Yikes! Suppose to RAIN on and off all day. It's still dry right now at 8:11 a.m.

Mike: How are you doing down there in OHIO??

I have nothing for you guys right now. I need some coffee. Later gang.

Lee: Don't blow away today if you take Ava for a walk!

Windy here too Kathie! VERY windy. Ava slept in again. We headed out at 7:40 and she wanted to cut her walk short!
Weather guessers are calling for a “Wintery Mix“ around 11:00 lasting most of the day.

Good morning! Thanks for the birthday wishes! Seems like the older I get the faster the birthdays roll around.

Kathi, I too remember Dave's stories about dressing up in his tux to deliver gas, I think you gave him the perfect send off!

Lee, hopefully your "wintery mix" will not arrive as forecast, although I remember reading in my baby book my mom had written there was a snow storm the day I was born & it looked more like the first day of winter than the 1st day of Spring.

Just saw your card Lee, tooooo CUTE, and Kevin Bacon wasn't hard on the eyes either, Thank you!!

Kathy, if you ever find yourself with more money than online bills I will be happy to donate a few of mine to the cause. Good for you on checking all the paper work to be sure things will be in order for Jill, after dealing with my Dad's probate I wanted to make sure my sister's did not have anything to deal with when I die. I have a list of all my accounts & their beneficiaries in my folder and make sure to update it every year.

Mike, hope all is well with you & Fay!

My brother from Ohio called me early this morning to wish me a Happy Birthday, we talked for nearly an hour, that was nice.

Mr. Hansel is not doing so good again, Jane said he would not eat at all yesterday, he is still drinking. She called the vet but they didn't call her back, so she called again this morning, she is going to pick up an appetite stimulate to give him and see if that helps. On the plus side, his scoots have stopped.

Going to lunch with my sisters to Cracker Barrel this afternoon, then choir practice tonight. Yesterday at church one of the guys I work with on building & grounds brought me some roses from his garden & then they sang Happy Birthday to me after the service. If I have to get older a rolling birthday celebration is a good thing!
Need to get a few things done before the sisters show up, stay safe & stay dry all!

Great post there BIRTHDAY GIRL! Looks like you’ll have a busy day! How fun! Keeping busy keeps your mind off of getting a year older! :emoticon 0115 inlove:

Sure hope that Hansel gets better soon. All these trips to the Vet can add up. Wishing her all the best.

Art just got done with 1week of Kittie Duty for our next door neighbor whose name is ART too! He went over twice a day to put one scoop of dry food in their bowls and clean the litter boxes. Yes, 2 Kitties. Thank goodness they didn’t have any issues.
Art is glad that these kitties are on DRY food. So much easier than when the neighbor had his other cats that were on canned food.

Okay, it’s raining lightly here.

Hope all is okay with Mike.
Maybe he’s having computer trouble. I might need to give him a call if he doesn’t come on soon.

Karen: I wouldn’t hold out for me having any extra funds leftover to help pay your bills! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: With all the Federal government cuts lately I’m sure Michigan will be raising our State Taxes to pay for the education cuts. The A-Hole is cutting Federal benefits, but you gotta know our FEDERAL INCOME TAXES WON’T be lowered. It’s all just so wrong. He is so HATEFUL. Hasn’t done one GOOD thing for the COUNTRY since he took office.

Okay enough about all this crap.

I’m off to take a Tylenol. I have a very RARE (for me) headache. Must be the weather. It’s rainy and 42F now.
Might get snow flurries later this afternoon.

Enjoy your B-Day Ms. Karen.

Karen, Life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes. you can thank Andy Rooney ???? for that one, Happy Birthday . Poor Hansel is having his problems, I hope he gets to feeling better soon. How nice, roses, cracker barrel with your sisters, birthday cake and choir practice Hark the herald angels sing plus a phone call, like is good.
It;s wind;y here too, has been for a few days. We got tornado warnings yesterday evening.
Lee. I hope the weather guessers were wrong and you didn't get any wintry mix K2, I'm okay, just a little bit of pain that wouldn't go away. My pain meds took care of it this morning. I hope you got rid of that headache.
I need a cup of coffee. join me anyone.

Mike, you never fail to put a smile on my face. What a great quote from Andy Rooney. So far cold, windy and drizzle but no snow. I’m thinking that coffee could take care of everyone’s headaches! I’ll join you.
I’m sure your neighbour Art appreciates having your Art around to mind the cats while he’s away.
I reckon you could do pretty good if you took advantage of all of the birthday freebies businesses have to offer Karen.

I'm working on the birthday freebies Lee, got a free piece of pie today from Cracker barrel, going to Publix tomorrow to either get a half gal. of ice cream or a carrot bar cake & tomorrow night I'm going to Sonny's BBQ for a pulled chicken sandwich, fries & drink. I have till early April to redeem my $9 birthday reward for Heavenly Ham, eating good for a few weeks for sure!

Karen ….you go girl! Fantastic freebee’s. Wow.
I only got a free Starbucks grande Latte. Time to move to Belleville. Ha ha.

Mike bummer about your pain. Stay on top of that.
My headache did go away after the Tylenol. :bash01:

I managed to wash down the hood fan above the stovetop burners. It didn’t look “dirty/greasy” but it sure was nice I got up on the short ladder and attacked it. The mesh vent filters cleaned up really nice and were easy to take out and put back in. Nice to get that job out of the way.

I only have 100 more jobs to tackle around here. I need to get a hold of some
“Speed Pills” to get me motivated. Ha ha.

Time for the 11 O’clock news.

Night all.

Good morning.
Since 2001 my birthday has never felt quite the same. My staff at The Old PO had just finished singing Happy Birthday to me when Al, one of my wicket clerks, came around the corner and said two planes had just hit The World Trade Center. In an instant the office became silent.
Needless to say with a windchill of 20F, Ava is still in bed. I walked the recycling to the curb and it’s just plain cold! Came back in and popped a K-Cup into the brewer and am sitting with a nice, hot Starbucks Pike Place.
Lu-Ann and I went through some old photo albums yesterday. We smiled. A lot. We stayed at Disney’s Polynesian Village for 6 nights in 1988. The cost for our stay was less than one night in the same room now. Our 5 day park admission was $105.00 each including tax. When we were in FL this past winter one day started, yes started, at $184.00 per person plus tax!
There goes the bin man so I best go get them and tuck them back in the garage.
You all have a fantastic day!

Good Mid-Morning Wrabbits. 34F here at 10:00 a.m. Might get to 45F this afternoon! Brrr

Karen THANKS for the great pictures. Wow how young everyone looked! Do you still keep in contact with Kathy K? Just wondering if she still Cruises as much as before?
Loved the B-Day pic.
Such a nice cake. And you LOOK FANTASTIC GIRL! Now today you need to collect some more of your Free B-Day treats! :)
By the way.... I love that wall with the FAMILY TREE PICS. Are those decals of the branches with the pictures next to them? Good job on putting it on the wall! :smiley24: :clap002:

I think a lot of us older folks (me included) remember what we were doing on 9/11. Also, I remember where I was when President Kennedy was shot in Texas.

After reading about some of the things the MORON is signing these days it's hard to believe we, the American People, let any of this happen. Congress/Senate/House of Representatives should have passed laws to avoid what is going on these days in the Oval Office.
Just yesterday a group of little kids were sitting at school desks next to the Moron and looked like they had one of those "Order binders" that the Moron signs when he's about to screw up somebodies' life. He SIGNED A BILL to shut down the Education Dept. Yup, he had little KIDS in desks pretending to sign the same type of binder. WHO DOES SOMETHING LIKE THAT?? Yup, a MORON.
Okay, enough about politics.
FYI: I still love my Canadian friends and strangers no matter what goes on. :canada:

I planted some Begonia bulbs in a container yesterday. Art got me this big kit from Costco that had a Container, Dirt and 3 Begonia bulbs in it. So, I followed the directions and it's on its own now and hopefully it will be able to go out on the deck by JUNE! Ha Ha. That's when we might have consistent decent temps! We actually had some SLEET on Thursday!

Mike: Hope you're feeling less pain today. You take care of yourself buddy.
And help yourself to some fresh coffee & cookies!

Kathie, yes the Family tree is a decal set I got from Walmart, my niece Amanda put it up for me shortly after I moved in here. I don't keep up with Kathy K much, she comments on pics once in a while but other than that nothing.

Mike, hope your head feels better soon, if not you might need to get check out by a doctor. Down here I get headaches sometimes from the changes in air pressure due to storms.

Lee, it's amazing how much prices have gone up on "entertainment" these days, for what a family would spend for a week at Disney now I bet they could buy a decent used car!

Got up & out around 9 this morning & went to Publix and was surprised at how empty the store was for a Friday morning, sure made it easier to get in & out for a change.
Planning to just relax for most of the day & then go out for my birthday sandwich tonight. Tomorrow night is another pot luck at church, I'm making a pasta dish with broccoli, mushrooms, rigatoni pasta & homemade alfredo sauce. Normally I would add chicken to it but a lot of people have given up meat for Lent so I wanted to be sure there were options for them. Also making a strawberry bavarian pie. For now I think I'll have a cup of Kathie's coffee & a couple cookies.

Karen you have me DROOLING just reading about your Pot Luck dinner you're making. YUM

Karen you're so right about the prices at Disney now could buy a decent used car. On that note, Art just said the other day when I picked up his prescription, that shows what it would cost without prescription insurance, that his FIRST CAR DIDN'T cost that much! Thank goodness for our insurance. And thank goodness it's that it's not from the government.

Washed my hair and I feel like a new woman! Ha Ha. I wish! Amazing how I was able to do my hair in the morning shower, get dressed, eat a quick breakfast or grab a coffee and go to work all before 7:00 a.m.!
THOSE WERE THE DAYS!

Not unlike Dave, I too love to see photos. Old and new alike. Thank you Karen.
My first car was a brand new 1974 Honda Civic. $3200 (CDN) taxes in with a full tank of gas!
Bright, sunny day here. But darned cold along The River.

Lee, I also enjoy old pictures, I'm trying to get all of the pictures posted here into one place. I don't think I'll be going to disney with those prices. I have been there two or three times. Do you think Ava is trying to tell you something?
Thanks for the great pictures Kc, I remember going to Florida and getting to gether with everyone, Is Kathy K parrot head? I recognize her in your pictures.
K2, thanks for the coffee and cookies. I ate and drank them about 3:30 today,
Time for dinner.
