K2, As Karen said, I know its not t he birthday that you would have planned for but I hope it wasn't too bad.
that was very good of Dave Kathi, it brought a chuckle to me.
Lee, sounds like you had a frustrating day, at least it ended well with a cup of coffee.
I got a haircut, 1rst time I got it cut that it wasn't too long.

Good morning.
A quick stop this morning. I have to roust Ava this morning. She has decided to sleep in which won’t work with today’s schedule. Lu-Ann has a neurologist appointment at University Hospital in London, ON today. It’s about a 2 1/2 hour drive each way. We’ll leave here by 11:00 to give ourselves time to stretch our legs along the way, get parked and into hospital. Friends are coming over mid afternoon to let Ava out. I’d still like to get her out for a walk this morning and for a walk before we go. Somewhere in there we need to get ready too.
So, I will wish everyone a great day.

Thank you Mike.
We actually saw both Lu-Ann’s neurologist and movement disorder specialist. They were both pleased with the lack of progress of Mr. Parkinson’s disease. As were we. But that has, for now, ruled out DBS (deep brain stimulation) as The Doc’s have to exhaust drug options first.
So, how have you all been today? Well I hope.
Why yes, Lu-Ann and I would enjoy a nice glass of wine.
Have a good evening my friends.

Good evening, just checking in to say Hi. There were only 7 of us at choir rehearsal tonight so Brian let us go early. He cancelled the Evensong service for March 23rd because so many people were going to be gone. This will be 2 yrs in a row we didn't have enough choir members to do a good program.

Lee, good news for LuAnn & you on the progression of the PD, praying that it continues to move at a glacial speed! Enjoy the wine, I need to pick up a bottle the next time I'm at the store.

Mike, I found a few pic's today of old meet ups, tried taking pics with my phone instead of scanning them, will see how they turn out.

Kathie, hope your Sil's send off went beautifully! Safe travels home.

Tomorrow I'm going over to help one of the neighbors install backsplash tile in her kitchen, she found some nice looking mosaic peel & stick tile so we are going to put that up. Hopefully it will only take a couple hours.

Now it's time to chill a bit & then hit the sack a bit early, have a good one all!

Here it is. Friday morning. Not that Friday holds the same meaning for retirees as for the workin’ folks.
I admit to having to look up “Evensong” Karen. Such a shame that there won’t be enough voices to do the program. Hopefully your backsplash job will go better than expected. Measure twice and trim once!
Hopefully, as Karen mentioned Kathie, the service for your SiL was what she would have liked. Now, you have a safe trip home. Let us know when you‘re back home.
I had the urge to enjoy an early cup of coffee this morning Mike. I’ll put on a fresh pot in a bit. If I’m being honest, it wasn’t a pot of coffee at all. It was a K-cup.
Ah, technology. When leaving the hospital you have to scan your parking ticket and pay at the machines in the garage ”lobby” BEFORE you go to your car to exit the garage. I realized I could avoid the lines at the machines by scanning the QR code on my ticket and paying on my phone.
So, that’s what I did. As we bypassed the lines at the machines someone kindly said “you have to pay here before you can leave”. I thanked them and said I had scanned the “funny little square” on the back of my ticket and had paid. All of a sudden everyone was looking on their tickets and a couple of phones came out. “You’re Welcome”. :)
Other than Karen, I don’t know what you all may be up to today. Even if it’s not much I hope it goes well.
Enjoy your day everyone.

6-1/2 hours later, Tiki's kitchen backsplash is done. And mind you, it was a small kitchen with peel & stick tile, but lots of cutting, a few, ok, maybe more than a few boo-boo's before we finally got done. She is happy with it, the tile is pretty, but as the installer I see all the mistakes. I'm sure it will look fine once all the appliances & things are back on the counter. I'm really getting to old for these projects.

Tomorrow is a mini retreat at Rev. Lisa's so I get a day to relax. Now I need to hit the shower, feeling really grungy

Rather than seeing the little boo boos Karen admire the change you made to Tiki’s kitchen and the smile she no doubt has. Well done. Enjoy your ”day off” tomorrow.
