K2, As Karen said, I know its not t he birthday that you would have planned for but I hope it wasn't too bad.
that was very good of Dave Kathi, it brought a chuckle to me.
Lee, sounds like you had a frustrating day, at least it ended well with a cup of coffee.
I got a haircut, 1rst time I got it cut that it wasn't too long.

Good morning.
A quick stop this morning. I have to roust Ava this morning. She has decided to sleep in which won’t work with today’s schedule. Lu-Ann has a neurologist appointment at University Hospital in London, ON today. It’s about a 2 1/2 hour drive each way. We’ll leave here by 11:00 to give ourselves time to stretch our legs along the way, get parked and into hospital. Friends are coming over mid afternoon to let Ava out. I’d still like to get her out for a walk this morning and for a walk before we go. Somewhere in there we need to get ready too.
So, I will wish everyone a great day.

Thank you Mike.
We actually saw both Lu-Ann’s neurologist and movement disorder specialist. They were both pleased with the lack of progress of Mr. Parkinson’s disease. As were we. But that has, for now, ruled out DBS (deep brain stimulation) as The Doc’s have to exhaust drug options first.
So, how have you all been today? Well I hope.
Why yes, Lu-Ann and I would enjoy a nice glass of wine.
Have a good evening my friends.

Good evening, just checking in to say Hi. There were only 7 of us at choir rehearsal tonight so Brian let us go early. He cancelled the Evensong service for March 23rd because so many people were going to be gone. This will be 2 yrs in a row we didn't have enough choir members to do a good program.

Lee, good news for LuAnn & you on the progression of the PD, praying that it continues to move at a glacial speed! Enjoy the wine, I need to pick up a bottle the next time I'm at the store.

Mike, I found a few pic's today of old meet ups, tried taking pics with my phone instead of scanning them, will see how they turn out.

Kathie, hope your Sil's send off went beautifully! Safe travels home.

Tomorrow I'm going over to help one of the neighbors install backsplash tile in her kitchen, she found some nice looking mosaic peel & stick tile so we are going to put that up. Hopefully it will only take a couple hours.

Now it's time to chill a bit & then hit the sack a bit early, have a good one all!

Here it is. Friday morning. Not that Friday holds the same meaning for retirees as for the workin’ folks.
I admit to having to look up “Evensong” Karen. Such a shame that there won’t be enough voices to do the program. Hopefully your backsplash job will go better than expected. Measure twice and trim once!
Hopefully, as Karen mentioned Kathie, the service for your SiL was what she would have liked. Now, you have a safe trip home. Let us know when you‘re back home.
I had the urge to enjoy an early cup of coffee this morning Mike. I’ll put on a fresh pot in a bit. If I’m being honest, it wasn’t a pot of coffee at all. It was a K-cup.
Ah, technology. When leaving the hospital you have to scan your parking ticket and pay at the machines in the garage ”lobby” BEFORE you go to your car to exit the garage. I realized I could avoid the lines at the machines by scanning the QR code on my ticket and paying on my phone.
So, that’s what I did. As we bypassed the lines at the machines someone kindly said “you have to pay here before you can leave”. I thanked them and said I had scanned the “funny little square” on the back of my ticket and had paid. All of a sudden everyone was looking on their tickets and a couple of phones came out. “You’re Welcome”. :)
Other than Karen, I don’t know what you all may be up to today. Even if it’s not much I hope it goes well.
Enjoy your day everyone.

6-1/2 hours later, Tiki's kitchen backsplash is done. And mind you, it was a small kitchen with peel & stick tile, but lots of cutting, a few, ok, maybe more than a few boo-boo's before we finally got done. She is happy with it, the tile is pretty, but as the installer I see all the mistakes. I'm sure it will look fine once all the appliances & things are back on the counter. I'm really getting to old for these projects.

Tomorrow is a mini retreat at Rev. Lisa's so I get a day to relax. Now I need to hit the shower, feeling really grungy

Rather than seeing the little boo boos Karen admire the change you made to Tiki’s kitchen and the smile she no doubt has. Well done. Enjoy your ”day off” tomorrow.

Please fasten your seat belts, put your seat backs up, and stow all carry on items. It’s gonna be a rough weather day!
No rain here yet. Very strong winds directly out of the south. Ava and I were part way around our early walk and the skies lit up with lightning. Pretty as it was we knew it was time to hustle straight home!
I hope the weather doesn’t impact Kathie’s trip home from Chicago if today is a travel day.
Wherever you all are, make today a good and safe day!

Good afternoon Wrabbits. I'm home and all went perfectly at my SIL's funeral. Amazing how the daughters put everything together their Mom.

I'll never be able to answer all the back posts. I'm reading them all.

Take care and I'll be back later. My back is giving me a little OUCHness from the drive and I want to work on that issue now.

Thanks for always being concerned about all of us in our group.

I still can't wrap myself around DAVE not being with us. We didn't have time to say a proper farewell to him. But then, does that ever happen.
Kathi Allen please know my heart breaks for you and your family. Hope to talk to you soon.

Later gang.

Thanks for letting us know you're home safe and sound. Ya, I’m old and I worry.
I hope your retreat at Reverend Lisa’s is fun and informative Karen.
Mike, Kathie made us some coffee. Are you in?
Our neighbours invited us down for dinner this evening. They’re good folks and we’re looking forward to getting together.
Be good my friends.

Another windy and rainy day forecast here. With possible snow flurries in the 10:00 pm hour. Ah, March in Southern Ontario.
Dinner last night was good. Our neighbours across the road also joined us. After dinner we played a game with dominoes called “Mexican Train”. A super evening for sure.
I like the sound of chocolate cake with cherry pie filling in it Mike.
At this early hour there’s not much more I have to add.
I’ll check back on everyone later.
Have as good a day as you possibly can.

Good morning!

Lee, hopefully your weather today doesn't turn out as bad as predicted, they are saying possible thunder storms here today also. I know last night a boom of thunder (I think) startled Ginger & I, it was only one so not really sure what we heard but it sent her scurrying under the bed!

Kathie, glad the funeral for your Sil went as well as could be expected, sometimes those gatherings don't always bring out the best in people. Hope your back is feeling better this morning & how is Art's cold?

Mike, your Black Forest cake sounds yummy! I also make a choc. cake with raspberry filling & choc icing. I will try to get the pictures posted this week.

Retreat yesterday was really nice, there were 14 ladies there including Rev. Lisa, good food & good fellowship together!
Just got a phone call from Alert Marion we are under a Tornado Watch here, it's grey & gloomy right now.
Enjoy your day all I'm heading off to church soon & will mention us all in my prayers!

Good Morning Wrabbits!

Lee good that you had a fun evening w/friends. We have played that Mexican Train game. In fact we have the metal box with the dominos in it!

Karen: Lots of tornado's doing some horrible damage through the South. Take care to have a TO GO BAG ready with important papers JUST IN CASE! Prayers all will be okay.
Art is starting to feel better. I have to hand him his antibiotic pill or he forgets to take it! DUH.
Thanks for asking.

Mike: Hope you enjoyed that pot of fresh coffee yesterday! .

I'm in a rush. Going to church and will say a prayer for ALL of us and those that are no longer with us. Then a Choir Rehearsal after to learn a few new Easter songs. Seems like the year is already buzzing by too quickly.
Next week is the 1st day of Spring! I survived another Michigan WINTER. Yippee.

Take care and enjoy the day. Karen be safe!

Lee, I am sorry about you may be getting snow, but I have to admit, I thought it was better you than me, after all, your Canadian I'm Southen Ohio. I have never heard of that game, but there are a lot of things I have never heard of.
Glad the retreat was nice Karen, That seems to be a nice size group. It;s that time of year again, tornados and very heavy thunderstorms. stay safe.
K2, it may be the first day of spring but it still can get pretty cold. Glad Art is feeling better. Think of it as job security I did enjoy the fresh coffee yesterday, so much so I'm going to get a cup of coffee soon.
