Just stopping by to hope that each and every one of you have all had a wonderful Easter Sunday.
Truly a simpler time Mike. But hardboiled eggs just don’t cut it when you’re hoping for chocolate.
I got a kick out of your pun Kathie. :)

A quick “Good Morning” to everyone. I’m heading out with Ava for her morning walk between possible raindrops. A quick bite of breakfast when we get back and I’m off to Jim’s. We’re hoping we will finish the basement flooring today. Just one bedroom and the storage area. My thought is splitting the guys into two with a couple working in each area. We’ll see.
Have a fantastic Monday my friends.

May he Rest in Peace.

We had a brief, but loud, rain at 5:45 a.m. Enough to wake me up. It didn't last too long at all. The "Shells" on the Maple trees out in the front of the house got washed off the buds. Once the sun dries them up, I'll use the leaf blower to get them off the sidewalk and driveway. They're everywher!

Lee: Hope you boys get that basement done. I'd love to know just how many
times the basement bedroom will be used! :emoticon 0136 giggle:

Mike: So happy to read that you had a lovely Easter Sunday with family around.

Karen: I wasn't able to tune in on your church service, but I know your choir did a good job as always. Is there going to be a Thank You celebration for the retiring choir director/organist?

We had a lovely "lunch/early dinner" dinner with the kids and Manny. Everything went off perfectly. It had to be at 1:00pm because Mark needed to back home early enough to get packed for his business trip to Texas. (I hate when he has to fly on these trips. Makes me nervous with all that's going on with planes lately)

Art is almost done with his basement floor painting project. I give me EXTRA CREDIT for taking on a job like that at his age! Lots of moving of "STUFF" and sorting some "STUFF" to get thrown out on the next trash day.

Mike: We have a ROBIN's NEST on one of the wood ledges Art put in the corner under the overhang years ago. The Robins worked on the nest all the time we were in the dining room. We could see them flying back and forth. They had that nest all rounded out and rimmed up by the time we were cleaning up the dishes off the table. AMAZING BIRDS.

Later all. Enjoy the day.

I hope you got the basement finished Lee and you and Ava got your walk in.
K2, we had a robin build a nest on a window sill for years. We wouldn't iuse that window for fear of scaring the birds.
Glad you had a lovely lunch with your group,
Kc, hope you had a very nice Easter.

Just checking in to say I'm toast! Worked outside in the yard most of the day & even with a nice breeze the heat has just done me in! And Yes, Kathie, I drank lots of water, just not used to being outside as much as I was today. Tomorrow I'm working at Jane's for a little bit but it will be earlier in the day & in the shade of the back yard. Have a great evening all!

Gotta LOVE all these working Wrabbit posts! Keep up the good work and shake those fuzzy bunny tails! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: :emoticon 0136 giggle:

We had yummy leftovers tonight. Works for me big time.

Good night folks!

A quick hello from north of the border.
We finished Jim’s flooring yesterday. Now we wait - again - while they decide on baseboards, interior doors and window trim. All of which will need to be painted. The washroom floor also needs to be tiled and then the counter, toilet etc moved in to place. A wee lack of organization…
When the guys and I did our basement every thing was ready to fall in to place one step after the other.
I really don’t have much other than to wish each and every one of you a simply fine day.

Good Mid-Morning Wrabbits! The sky is SO BLUE outside today. It's beautiful. 51F

Lee: That's one heck of a LONG BASEMENT JOB. Do you think they'll ever make use of all the work you fellas have done? Are there anymore friends basements that your group will be getting involved finishing? Hope not for your sakes.

I spent WAY TOO MUCH time trying to link 2 Visa cards so I could check them online. I don't even use the one Visa Card anymore but wanted to keep it active. Art is the primary on that particular card and had to "Authorize"
me to be an "authorized user". ALWAYS SOMETHING.

You all have a good day. Off of here to fill my weekly PILL CONTAINER. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: Never had to do that when I was 55 yrs old. Ha Ha.

I remember seeing this video and it popped up recently and I thought I'd share it again on here.
LEE: Did you ever make these when it's your turn to host 'card day'??? Looks like a good make ahead and rewarm in oven type of project.

Note: If you click on this link just tap the X in the corner of "FACEBOOK" and the video should appear. Let me know if it works for you all.

To answer your questions Kathie, a couple of the guys (and wives) really feel that the basement project will never get used as much use as they hope.
We didn’t make those smashed potatoes- yet! They do seem like a fun fall and winter treat. But for the past few winters we’re all been away.
My sweetie, who never gets sick, woke up with a terrible stuffed head. She has to watch what she takes with her Parkinson’s meds. Rest is the best for a day or two.
I got the Ava to her Navy Yard, the front and back lawns cut and now I think it’s time to reward myself with a glass of wine.
Have a wonderful afternoon everyone.

Hope Lu-Ann feels better soon. Could be from all the POLLEN as the TREES are popping their buds this time of the year. Especially at Navy Yard.
Hugs Love GIF by joeyahlbum

Our neighbors "lovely" Willow tree is in full bloom and the GREEN/YELLOW Pollen is flying around big time. Lu-Ann might want to wear a mask when at the park this time of the year.
(she probably won't, but it's a good thought) ;)

Our resident Robin is in the nest today and hopefully we'll have little Robins soon. They sure do make beautiful nests.... and fast.

Good evening!

Lee, glad the basement flooring project is finally finished up, hopefully it won't be long before the whole project is done. Hope LuAnn feels better soon!

Kathie, how cool to have a Robin's nest right outside your window! The going away/retirement party for Brian was Palm Sunday.

Mike, sounds like a nice way to spend Easter, Good food & family!

Worked on Jane's yard for about an hour this morning, had a truck full of branches & moss I picked up off the ground from the last hurricane that we had here. Took that load to the dump & then planted a few flowers for her.

Came home & took everything off my screen porch so I could hose off all the green pollen, then mopped the tile floor out there and put everything back, whew, that was project!
Tonight was our potluck dinner at the clubhouse, a very small turnout tonight due to several people being sick & other's who had recent deaths in the family. We still had a ton of good food. I made a corn casserole that pretty much got all eaten up and several people asked for the recipe. I will have to work on getting it typed up as I combined a couple I had found online that sounded good.

Tomorrow morning I am supposed to meet a lady at Walgreens to give her a rug I'm giving away, after that I hope to do some major clean out of the garage. There is still so much stuff in there I never use it's time to get rid of it. And that's pretty much all the news from Belleview! We need rain really bad but so far none expected anytime soon.

Good afternoon. Well, it seems like afternoon because I’ve been up since about 4:30 a.m..
Lu-Ann had a rough night and when either of us does the other sleeps with one eye and one ear open. It was a lovely 48F for our early walk. I used to like to go out before dawn but there’s been a few coyote sightings in the area so now I wait until the sun is part way up.
Is there ever a day that you’re not busy helping others Karen? One thing I’ve found is no matter how few folks are able to make it to a pot luck there’s always way more food than you need. I’m guessing your corn casserole was a hot dish?
We wish Lu-Ann’s situation was environmental Kathie but it seems to be a good old fashioned cold / flu. I’ll ring the pharmacy today to see if they have any free Covid test kits left. Good to rule out as much as we can. I suspect it will just be Ava and I at The Navy Yard again today. We have two bird houses in the back. I’m happy to say they are both occupied. One is a “fixer upper” that became occupied before I could repair it. The other is a cute new one Lu-Ann saw at Beall’s in FL.
Funny Mike. Back in the day people took pleasure in having birds nest on or near their window ledges, raise their little families and be on their way. Now people seem to clear off the nests and throw them in the bin. Then they put up “deterrents” to stop the birds from coming back.
I’d like to pop over to the hardware and get some fertilizer. It’s cheaper at COSTCO (what isn’t?) but I don’t need a bag so large that will get hard before I use the last of it. Anyway, it’s supposed to rain at some point over the next
I’m going to rinse my coffee cup, feed Ava and peek in on my sweetie. I’d like to let her sleep but if she stays tucked in too long it throws her meds off for the day.
Anyway, I do hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

HI and BYE..... off to see Manny. I'm on "Let out Manny" duty today. The entire family is either out of town or working in the office! I'll try and post later.

Lee: Sorry Lu-Ann is not feeling well. After her meds she needs to go back and lay down or go sit outside in the sunshine and get some Vit C in her system if possible. Sending BIG HUGS her way.

Karen: YOU work so hard that you make me feel like a lazy bum over here. Take time to sit and enjoy your SPACE on the back porch now that you have it POLLEN FREE for a day or two! :)

Lee. I hope Lu-Ann is feeling better by now. There was a time when I thought the 40 degree temp was comfortab;e, now its 80. Speaking of 80, it's supposed to get over 80 today.
K2, I would love to build something like that.
Karen, I said this before and I"ll say it again, stop and smell the roses.

A nice afternoon so I got the back patio washed and the stuff put out. I still have to bring up the cushions.
That “VW“ bus is really neat Kathie! Nothing doing…Lu-Ann had to come to The Navy Yard for Ava’s walk. Even with her sniffles and cough. No free Covid kits. :( A delightful day to “Manny Sit”.
It’s a lovely 76F here Mike. No humidity and a gentle breeze makes for a really nice afternoon to sit out on our little covered back patio.
I hope you’re enjoying some patio time too Karen.

My poor girl had another rough night. Which in turn means I’ve been up since 4:20 a.m. Lu-Ann rarely, if ever, gets anything like this but when she does she gets it bad.
RANT TIME… If we call the doctor it would likely be a couple of days to get in. If we go to a walk in clinic during our doctor’s office hours the doctor gets ticked! Some doctors have even dropped patients for doing that. Even though they’re too overbooked to see the patient! So, if this persists until Saturday we’ll go to a walk in clinic. Such is the state of health care in Ontario.
Anyway, it is what it is.
Today could feel like 81F! All day rain tomorrow so I’ll get my lawn fertilizer down this evening. By Sunday we’re back to a high of 59F.
I hope that this Thursday finds all of you well and you have an enjoyable day ahead!

Hi gang!

Lee: Feel so bad for Lu-Ann. And what a bunch of crap that a doctor would actually DROP a patient because they went to the clinic to get HRLP that they couldn’t get at their doctors office.
Art had the same sleepless nights and finally went to see an associate of his primary doctor and he gave him dome antibiotic pills for his
“head -congestion, drainage issues”. It helped.
Lee—- did any of the basement workers have ‘colds or were any coughing’ when you were there? Just wondering if their germs got brought home?
Or did Lu-Ann pick this bug up from one of her lady friends when they were “out and about together?”

I’m going to go visit my dear friend Elaine at the Rehab place today.

Need to see if any bills need paying. You ALL have a nice day.
It’s sunny here!

Dog sitting yesterday was easy. Manny and I went for 2 walks, sat outside on the deck until he wanted to go inside and cool off, and then he played a while and then napped! What a life!
