Wow, is it ever warm here! AccuWeather says it feels like 80F!
No, nobody we’ve been around has had a recent cold Kathie. It sounds like Lu-Ann has symptoms similar to Art. When Lu-Ann fractured her wrist our doctor was on holiday. She did have a backup BUT, Lu-Ann tumbled at 7:00, the office doesn’t open until 9:00 and then wait for a call back. Our doctor “reminded” us that she had someone covering and we should have waited. We’d switch except family doctors here are so hard to come by. The good doctors and nurses seem to get poached by The Henry Ford and other Michigan health care facilities.
I hope everyone is having a day as stress free as Manny! Life’s “ruff”. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Who said “early to bed, early to rise makes a person wealthy and wise.”?
Good morning everyone. Lu-Ann had a bit of a better day yesterday and a better night’s sleep last night. Still all stuffed up though. With the rain in the forecast there’s not much natural sun to help her feel better today. She has been drinking 100% pineapple juice and that really has helped with her cough. I remember when our Tony suggested that was the best thing for a cough.
At this early morning hour I don’t have much new. All of you please have a good, safe day. I’ll check in on everyone a bit later.

Happy Its Friday GIF by Mino Games
already! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Lee: Bless you for getting up so early! After I retired from working an 8:00 am - 5:00 pm job it took me a while to STOP getting up at 6:00 a.m. Now that's something way in my past. :emoticon 0136 giggle:
Hope Lu-Ann gets better each day. I remember Tony and Mama Bear telling us all that Pineapple juice was good for coughs. Amazing how much information we have shared with each other over the years. Keep up the good "sharing" folks.

Yesterday, (Thursday) it got up to 83F here in our neighborhood. UNBELIEVEABLE. We're back to a more normal 65F at 11:00 a.m. and might make it to 70F later. I'm just not ready for
83-degree weather yet. Our deck awning is NOT up yet. No real rush to get it up, because I know the weather is still going to go
UP & DOWN!

So, I went to see my dear friend Elaine at the Re-Hab center. She looked much better than when I saw her in the hospital. :clap002: She was at a different one for 2 days and asked to be transferred to another place. WHY.... you may ask. Because it smelled of Urine as you walked through the hallways! That would make me question staying there BIG TIME. The place she is at now is just fine. She's been there before. And get this..... she has a friend that she's played cards with for years that's in the same place. So they can visit and eat meals together.
I brought her some of my Apricot pastries that she likes and went to the drug store for her for some things she needed. The place is like 8 mins away from our house.

Just clicked onto Lee's message............You really didn't need to post that buddy!

Karen: Did you ever get your FENCE APPROVED that you touched up? Hope the HOA liked your work.

Mike: My Begonia bulbs are about 3 inches high. Art bought me this container that had the soil and 3 begonia bulbs that you plant in it and they're actually starting to leaf out nicely. Too early to set it outside, so I have it in the Bay Window area sitting on the floor. It's a rather big container (he got it at Costco) seems everything is BIGGER there! Ha Ha.

I just entered 3 household bills to get paid the 1st week of May. Love saving money on stamps by using the banks Pay online feature for free! I control when they pay and how much. Works for me.

You all have a good day and weekend. I need to replenish the Biscotti container for Art. The man loves his sweets with coffee.

Good afternoon!

Kathie, thanks for the reminder it's Friday, with no church or choir practice this week I am having a hard time keeping track of what day it is. Good to hear your friend Elaine is doing better in the new rehab center! Haven't heard anything about my fence, it looks better than a lot of others in here so I don't think I'll have a problem.

Lee, we laugh at your post, but we also know it WILL be Christmas again before we know it! Glad to hear LuAnn is feeling a tad better, sad that a Dr. would "scold" you for not waiting to get treatment for a fracture!

Mike, how are things in Southern Ohio?

I've been busy with lot's of "putter projects" got a lot accomplished but nothing anyone would notice except me.
Yesterday was my 3 month Field Vision test & it went pretty good, the tech even said I did a good job focusing on the little yellow light. I just hope the new drops are helping & I won't have to keep getting this test done every 3 months.
Got the news this morning Rev. Lisa's Mom passed away yesterday I believe, we had heard the other day she was in hospice. Rev. Lisa has been on vacation this week to be with her mom & will be taking next week off now as well. I really feel for her losing her Mom & her Mil in less than a month.
Today would have been my Dad's 96th birthday, hard to believe he's been gone 5 yrs now.
Tummy is doing a little rumble so I think it must be lunch time, have a great Friday all!

Front lawn cut, bagged and fertilized. Lunch. Back lawn cut, bagged and fertilized. Wine.
It’s supposed to rain here this afternoon so I wanted to get the fertilizer down. We have SO many dandelions right now. At least bagging as I cut seems to help a bit. It’s hard when we don’t spray but with Ava and little folks on either side I don’t feel right using stuff that could be harmful to pets and kids.
That’s got to be rough on Reverend Lisa Karen. A tough “anniversary” for you too. I hope that your fence passes inspection. Whenever they get around to looking at it.
I‘m sure that seeing Elaine doing better brightened your day a tad Kathie. We pay all of our bills online now. It makes sense because we get all of our bills online. No wonder letter mail volumes are down and postal services are looking for other ways to bolster their business! After 20 years away from Canada Post I still can’t seem to sleep in.
Yes Mike, how are you and Fay doing?
I’m going to get a shower after all my yard work and then sit down with my Sweetie and a glass of something refreshing.
Have a good afternoon.

Art filled 6 Leaf bags with
Die-OFF cedar clumps from the monster Arborvitae shrubs. It falls under the branches and protects the roots in the Winter, but needs picking up this time of the year. He was out there for HOURS to get 6 full bags and trim the lower branches. He still has 1/3 to finish up.
But he ran out of stream. And it might rain.

Here’s a video Art leading the Thursday Bike group up one of the paths on the way back to the Parks parking lot.
Click to see it if you can. It’s from Facebook so some might not be able to open it.

Sort of lonely on here today, Fay and Pattie got gas a Krogers and got the fuel points. Fay doens't drive that much so she can fill up her car and Patty's
K2, I bet Manny enjoyed her day with you but it looks like you wore her out. I hope you had a nice and enjoyable visit with Elaine
Lee, so sorry to hear about Lu-Ann and you in turn. It has to be a helpless feeling with the Dr."s attitude being that way.
Crazy computer just posted Kc's, K2's and Lee's post just now.
About all your lawn work Lee, I like the wine part.
Got your rumble in the tummy taken care of K3.
Does Art thinks he is still 21 K2. That working so much get old fast. Did you read this line Kc????
All the work going on here, I thinks I'll take a napl

A cold and windy start to the day. Last evening we got a steady rain so hopefully that will take the fertilizer in and help green up the grass and choke some of the dandelions!
Neat shot of Art leading “the bike gang” down the trail. Where did they all go after the ride for a coffee and a treat? I got one bag of grass from the lawns yesterday. I wanted to keep as many of the dandelion heads off the lawn as possible.
If we didn’t take Ava to The Navy Yard everyday Mike, we wouldn’t put that many miles on our car either! Even though it’s only about a 10 minute drive each way. As it is we put fuel in about every 10 days or so.
“Putter Projects” are often the best kind Karen. You can work away at them when you want and often make you feel good when they’re done. Even if you are the only one who knows.
Typically, as Lu-Ann starts to get over her cold I start to plug up. ARGH!! I blame some of it on the up and down weather combined with early pollen.
Anyway, Miss Ava is giving me that “are you going to feed me?” look so I best be off.
All of you have a fantastic Saturday.
I guess this works better if I hit the ”post reply” button. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

There’s a strange echo in the hutch. Did everyone move away and forget to take me? Bobby Vinton said it best when he sang “I’m Mr. Lonely”.
I hope that you are all well. Safe and well.

Morning Lee! Not sure where everyone else wandered off to yesterday but I was EXTREMELY busy goofing off!:D Went to a couple yards sales & thrift shops in the morning & spent a whopping $1.35 on 2 insulated drinking mugs & 2 saucers for Ginger's food plates. Then spent the afternoon in the pool with my sisters, was kind of nice having a day to wind down & relax. Off to church this morning and will be sure to say a few extra prayers for all of us.

Lee: The perfect song. “Mr Lonely”! I actually remember that one!

Bless Happy Sunday GIF by GIPHY Studios 2021

Thank you Karen for the prayers! Lord knows we can all use them!

I ordered a floral wreath for our front door and it came 2 days ago. Just too WINDY to put it up, but today I will put it on the hook! It came from a florist in Missouri.
I’ll post a picture once it’s up.

KC: Love reading that you “Goof’d” off! :clap002:
I just checked your weather and GIRL it’s going up into the 90’s! Stay hydrated!!

That’s it from me until I post the wreath picture on the door.

Hello to Kathi Allen if you’re reading along. Hope you’ll stop by and say hello. How are the pups? And how ARE YOU DOING? I bet all those grandkids are keeping you busy.

Hello to Mike & Fay. A tad chilly here in Mich. Hope your weather is warmer. If do, sit outside for awhile and soak in some sunshine.

Later gang.

I think it is miles worth driving Lee, for Ava and for you. I hope Lu Ann is much better now and you aren't getting it.
It is going to be a chilly again tomorrow but (rim shot here)80 degrees Monday.

I thought I posted the above yesterday, with luck, I'll post it today. It 's still chilly here, hopefullly much warmer tomorrow.
goofed off, the best way to spend a day Karen.
I'll get that sunshine tomorrow K2,
Lee, Fay said she hasn't seen so many dandelions as she is seeing on the street that leads to our house. We hasn't put any weed killer down yet and so far no dandedlions.
Have a good rest of the da y. I'm going to make sure I post this.
