Good Saturday Morning DDD's!!

It is so gray here this morning, surely the rains can't be far because it is also HUMID to the max. 62 degrees outside and you can't even step outside in it. Ugh....and welcome to Kentucky. :)

For today we have a lunch picnic to go to, we do not have to take a thing. And then for dinner we are going to a friends house two blocks down. I made a batch of potato salad last night, and I'm getting ready to make a batch of homemade ice cream. This seems like deja vu to last Sat/Sun. :) The ice cream is going to be a surprise, it was so good last week that I can't wait to make another batch. Yummo!

Happy Saturday and what are all of you doing today?

Quack Quack direstions t the ice cream are requested would be just the right driving distance I was yearning for ealier this morning. Bright day here this morning so this DIT will be spending some deck time and just trying to keep cool. Skin is so dry and itchy wish i coud just soak in a bath oil. Deck time will certainly be in shade..Sure wish this duck hd a pond to float in.

Have a good day , keeps cool and stay safe from storms.

Maw - try an Aveena oatmeal bath, the last thing you want to do is put oil in your bath tub water. Slippy-slippy. =hugs

Suer - if I only had a Wegmans my life would be just as perfect as yours is. :D I am seriously jealous of you, you know!!
I'm really serious, I've looked them up on-line...I would cook nary a bite if I had a Wegmans...nary a bite!! :lol

Good morning, Duck Crew. We continue to be under extreme heat warnings here. X( I'll be working today. Tomorrow, I'm meeting up with my friend who flew in late yesterday afternoon for a bachelorette party - we'll have lunch together, then I'll bring her back to the airport. It's already 100F at shortly after 10:00am.

Hope all of you have nice weekends. Stay cool and don't get your feathers too wet! :grin

Thank you, Maw.

You're being a very smart DIT by hibernating with the A/C. It's not good for anyone to get overheated when the temperatures and/or humidity are so high. BTW, we're a mere 112 as I type.

Getting ready now for my usual Saturday evening of going to church while Jean watches his majesty, Pucci. She and I have decided to have Subway sandwiches for dinner tonight.

BTW, I can't believe Judi's thread has now surpassed the 10,000 view mark! QUACK QUACK QUACK WOOF from Mama Duck to all who are peeking!

Good evening, Ducks, Ducklings and DITs, from central Joisey.

We were over my Sister's this afternoon/evening for a Going-Away party for my Great Niece, who's moving to Greece. Needless to say, when the time came to say goodbye, I was all teary-eyed. She's a lovely young lady, and she'll be missed by everyone in the Family. :(

For those of you who have cruised with us on HAL, you may remember the Champagne Dream drink that I had quite often. We got a bottle of the Daily's Strawberry Daiquiri/Margarita mix and had it with just a "poof" of champagne and it was great! I've got have the Family (the gals, of course) drinking them now! :lol :lol

Hope everyone has a nice & safe Sunday! :thumb :thumb

Mama Duck - creamy Limoncello.

BTW, the Champagne Dream really isn't a foofy drink. It's really quite nice...I know Judi doesn't care for Asti Spumante, but I DO, and my taste buds are telling me Asti would make a Champagne Dream that I would love.

Good morning Ducks and DITS....sunny and nice here in VA this morning but storms are suppose to more in this afternoon...had a few mild ones last evening that cooled things off nicely.

Hummm those drink sound good, now I'll have to put my thinking cap on to see if I can come up with an idea concoction.

Spent most of yesterday with DD Jacquie and the new baby then we went out for an early dinner at Red Lobster then home to watch Fools Gold. Though the movie was a stinker in the theaters from what I understand we enjoyed it on DVD. I have laundry on the agenda for today and Leatherneck has a few projects to work on. Not sure what else might be on the agenda....may run by Jacquie's later.

Hope you all enjoy your Sunday.

It has to be Asti for me also! I don't have a special drink but will definitely help with any special drinks that anyone has to offer

We might finally get some rain in the next few days...at least I hope so.

I have a busy day today, I have to go into work for a while this morning, baby shower early this afternoon and then :couple I am going to have dinner with Lillian :couple. I do have 2 other grands 12 and 7 but I see them all the time and only see Lillian every month or two :(. I also have grandbaby boy due sometime next month...the other two grands are going to be in for the time of their lives :D.

Well, gotta go, all you ducks and dits have a great day (next week I should be a DIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Good morning Ducks, Ducklings, and DITs! We are all over the Asti as well! It is what we prefer. I finally had to break down and get the mower out yesterday. Knocked the weeds down before it got too hot. House was invaded by some mosquitoes. Will have to work at getting them out. Pesky things tend to keep you up at night.

Have a great day everyone, and stay safe! ! ! !

Good morning everyone!!

Nieciez - Baby Ryan is so cute!! I am glad that all is well with Jacquie and her family. :)

ewheelock - enjoy your visit with Lillian, that sounds nice. And we can't wait for you to be a DIT. :party

I'm up late this a.m., because we set outside last night until almost midnight as it was so very cool and refreshing outside. And this morning the sky is blue and the day has started off very nicely. I hope to spend time out on the porch today with the ceiling fan on, taking naps. :)

I hope that all of you have just as splendid of Sunday. =hug

Good Sunday morning, Ducks, Ducklings and DITs. Sounds like a variety of nice things planned. I'll be dropping Pucci off (again) later this morning at his Auntie Jean's while I meet my friend whom I picked up at the airport Friday afternoon - I'm taking her to Sunday Brunch. I guess I can get the scoop on what all went on at the Bachelorette party this weekend. :grin

We're under yet another Excessive Heat Warning here today - it's already 96 at 8:30am. :(

Sis - where in Greece is your Great Niece going? I'm guessing this is Kat and Harry's Daughter???

To all the Duck Crew - QUACK QUACK QUACK WOOF!!!

:wave Weeooo Mary Ann since I KNOW for a fact you'd swop my my lousy 63F in a heartbeat for your anticipated 112F.. consider it shared..:grin..

Got the marketing done, and DS Stephen has called 3X from BTV..all flights to La Guardia are cancelled for HOURS now..Tstorms.. =eek.. and backed up the Wazoo for HOURS..that will for sure snarl up London, Miami, Chicago for sure!! so he just lucked out direct VT to DC at 7PM.. he's sick and tired of the airport.. but it's for a plum job..oh well..which is WHY we refuse to fly out of Burlington, we ALWAYS get shafted..:(..

much easier to park and fly out of Hartford/Boston..

hope it's been a good day for the Alaska Duckie crew. et all. . off to grab a catch up on sleep snooze.. later kids..:daisy..Joanne

Good afternoon, Ducks, Ducklings and DITs, from central Joisey where it's a sunny 82 degrees.

Mal's out back building an area out back to put a grill on. Several years ago, he bought an electric one since we don't really use it that often. I swear, he has complained every time he's used it. He's ready to buy a Weber, but he wants to lay some patio block to put it on!

Joanne, that sounds like a plan to me. We are not fans of Asti, and I'd be afraid the drink would be too sweet, but we can try it both ways as it's really an easy drink to make.

Sis, unfortunately, Missy is going to Athens to live. From what I understand, there's quite a bit of crime there. Her Family is on Chios, which would be much safer, but she already has her mind made up. She'll be teaching English as a Second Language. She'll be home for the holidays so at least we'll get to see her then!

Hope everyone has a nice & safe day! :thumb :thumb

Good morning, Ducks, Ducklings and DITs, from central Joisey where it's a humid, sticky 73degrees. They're talking about thunderstorms later in the day. It's a good thing I'll be testing I.C.s this afternoon. There are no windows in the Testing facility, otherwise I'd be under one of the lab benches!!!!!

And Sis, you guessed correctly on who are Missy's Parents, namely Cat and Harry.

Hope everyone has a nice & safe day! :thumb :thumb
