Oh Mary Ann. I can feel your frustration through the computer screen. I will double up on the prayers that this heals very quickly.

Kiefer isn't happy with this news, he wants to know if you have been on the skateboard again? Prayers will continue that your leg responds very quickly and you feel better soon.

Mary Ann, how are you doing this week? There are some concerned furbabies and people here wanting to know. Prayers continue.

Thanks so much for the update Mary Ann. I had been wondering, actually for quite a while now, how you were doing!

:thankyou: over and over. This is getting tiresome but, thank God, it isn't MRSA. I'm beginning to think I should encapsulate myself in a large bubble!

Harley said he would look for a giant bubble or a giant roll of bubble wrap in the next hole he digs. He says that you can find real treasures. I too am grateful that it isn't MRSA.

Thank you, Glo and Sage.

>>trim Pucci's nails way down

Pucci has had acrylic covers on his front paws nails for about 3 months now - they're clear and replaced about every 30 days. They're not for frou-frou purposes (yes, some would put colored acrylics on their furbabies). These are put on dogs whose owners are on blood-thinners, have thin skin or bleed easily so that the skin isn't accidently torn.

Thank you Mary Ann for the interesting news about the acrylic nails. I wish that I had know that when Dad was alive. He sure could have benefited from those. His little Sarah, a Cairn Terrier always had such sharp nails, and he was on blood thinners.

Those acrylic covers are very helpful. Sometimes, Pucci puts his front paw or paws on my arm indicating it's lunch time, or he'll be frisky when he gets his rawhide "chewy" in bed. One time, he caught and tore a patch of skin open, other times he merely made scratches. These were strictly accidents. Doesn't happen any longer.

What a boon for you! That will make bubbling with Pucci much easier.

My maid of honor worked for Laurel Burch before she died, and Laurel had brittle bone disease. She had two dogs that were trained to keep people away from her, but one day one of the dogs gently brushed her leg, and broke it.

I hope that darn infection is healing well. Sending you healing wishes and prayers.

I am going to tell my Sis about the Acrylic nails for her dogs. My BIL is on blood thinners. He had his second kidney removed last week. The two dogs are his babies and are always near on on him.

Mary Ann perhaps I have missed it some where, but I was wondering how the leg was doing. I hope the infection has cleared up and that you are feeling just wonderful.

I apologize that I haven't checked here for awhile. Glo, Connie, Bev - thank you for your notes.

Although I have two - actually three - nasty scars on my legs (left knee, left leg, right leg), infections are gone - please God, never to return. I still continue to be VERY cautious. Every so often, I need to explain why Pucci has acrylic covers on his front paw nails, but these have been very helpful. For Christmas, I may - as a joke - have alternating green and red acrylics put on. He'll be in need of a pawdicure again by then.

Yesterday, November 29th, was the anniversary of when I tripped, fell and split my left knee open last year. Including that night, the ensuing months saw four visits to ER's and three hospitalizations. Hopefully, I've contributed my fair share to the medical community - though now I'm waiting to have surgery (at long last) on my right foot.
