That's certainly the understatement! I can be away from mine for four days and miss them like crazy, so what in the world am I going to do when we're on the 14 day Alaska cruise and this one?????

Plan 1 - bring a cell phone and call them every day we're in port. Alaska IS the U.S.A. So is Hawai'i.

Plan 2 - buy a phone card from HAL that cuts the cost of satellite calls drastically and call them every day while we're at sea.

Just don't let chatty Joey get on the phone first!:whistle:

I don't skype, but it's my understanding that more and more cruise lines are blocking its use at sea.

I've never skyped either, and I had no idea you could even skype from a ship!

Maybe I can get two iPhone 4's with the caneras so we can make Face Time calls, and set one up here, and when I call home Kiefer can run in front of it and we can see each other and I can tell him I miss him and to be nice to his sister.

Oooh, bad idea. He'll be calling me at all hours, and those sea minutes will really add up... Better not do that, either.

I simply have my dog sitter put the phone to Pucci's ear. I don't know how well that will work in the future because Pucci is losing his hearing.
