ok I have to say this is my first time getting on in a while and i feel the need to post here first.
this hass gotten way off topic and the post was about smoking while i donlt really gibe a rats beehind about that fact except that i have been really offended by not only the sex posts but the ton of teh rubbettles by one person in particular.
Oboviusly we hit a nerve with a smoker and that person took it upone themselves to try to justify not only smoking but insulted people in missississippi and tampa if i read the posts correctly.....
this is what I will say anytime someone asks about smoking anymore on a ship...
FIRE is one of a captians worst fears even today with all our technology so smoking should be BANNED from all ships period!!! This is not an infringement on anyone personal or private lives in your house do as you want... end of story have a nice night I am off to bed.....

I did not say anything against sex........just I dont think much when someone brags they sleep around......I dont know why someone posts and brags about it(go to a sex board--has nothing to do with cruising)...............and I really dont think she is that young...

[size=large]I think that people will still go on the BIG SHIPS even if they tell them they would get a "Ticket" for smoking on the balcony or anywhere on the ship for that matter.
The cruise companies just aren't ready to do a TOTAL BAN on Smoking. They're close, and the high price of cig's is helping them make the decision, but just not yet.
I really fell sorry for anyone who has to spend $120 dollars a week on ciggerette cartons just too control their nerves and needs. Yikes.........find help folks. Add the expense of GASOLINE and you won't have enough money to pay your house payment or food pretty soon. Scarey.

No, you are wrong. First of all, I would not and will not go on any ship that bans smoking altogether. If and when that happens, I'll stop cruising. Second of all, don't feel sorry for me........I spend my money on what I want to. I don't go out to eat or to the movies or go shopping on a regular basis. However, I do enjoy smoking, intend to keep smoking and intend to keep paying the price of cigarettes. And yes, to ban smoking is, in my own personal opinion (please note that I am saying this is MY OWN OPINION) an infringement upon my rights. And I do agree with one point made by a poster above.......why not ban children from cruises. You hate smoke and I hate being on a ship with a bunch of crying, screaming kids running around pushing elevator buttons and there's not a parent in sight. Don't get me wrong.........I love kids and have 3 small grandchildren (ages, 6, 4 and 2) who are my life..........but I would NOT take them on a cruise!!

Hey NiteStar......Im with you..........I'd like to take just one cruise without any kids..........RCCL and Celebrity used to have a couple of sailings a year like that....NOT that i dont like kids(have my own),but it would be nice......
