Another thought on air is to check the cruise line air programs as they can be cheaper for open Jaw then booking direct with airline on your own. I know that was our case for our Transatlantic and we booked direct with the cruiseline, picked the flights we wanted and still saved a lot of money!

Princess' relatively new EZAir program is excellent - I would advise anyone looking into air to check this out before eliminating it outright. It's not the usual air/cruise horror.

The Skyscraper Gang has alerted me that the 1 Week Princess Booking Special will now begin on Tues. 4/5 for anyone interested. This way the special will end on Tues. 4/12 and it will give folks a weekend to look over the details. It will only cost U a minimal deposit to hold that special cabin for this Gr8 Voyage of the Glaciers C@ Cruise. So even if U are unsure this will be the time to take the leap as the deposit is FULLY refundable up until final payment. :boogie:

I will attempt over the next 12+ months to occasionally post what I feel is pertinent info for the Ports of Call on this Back 2 Back C@ Group Cruise. Hopefully this will give EVERYONE some insight into what is available when visiting the Ports on our itinerary.

One thing NOT to miss on our day in Juneau is a Whale Watch Tour. Whale it was a dreadful rainy day last time there we did get to glimpse a phenomenon called Bubble Net feeding where a group of Humpbacks team together in a feeding frenzy. Here is a photo of the event ...

This U Tube Video is pretty descriptive of the event and worth a watch as well.

and this Link below explains it in a bit MORE detail.

Glad to have U onboard maw & paw and DAW & Jim. While we do have some repeat ports as has been brought to my attention there should NO fear. There has NOT been one port in all my days of cruising that has allowed me the opportunity to see EVERYTHING that was available. In retrospect with the diversity that the Alaska weather offers having a couple of the same ports could actually be a MAJOR Bonus. :eek:k:
