once we get into 2012 I will be ready to start planning for now I am just getting information.

I'm starting to look at shore excursions. One great aspect of traveling with a group is that DH and I can go off on our own with others who share the same interests. For instance, he would not enjoy being dragged to Russian Tea, and I'm not so fond of fishing.

There will be MANY attractions on this cruise. A good friend of mine returned home yesterday from this cruise. He's very well-travelled (like many of you), and has been to Alaska four times previously. He said this cruise was outstanding - certainly the best Alaska cruise he's ever taken.

July is one of the prime months for salmon fishing, Earl. Looks like you're in luck.

Its probably too early to think about Hotels. but when should we be looking for one.
Depending on the price I may come in 2 days earlier, i am sure its cheaper than NYC
