My gosh - can we just hold an election tomorrow and put us out of our misery? That's another good thing about cruising, we'll be away from all this election stuff! =huh

Sheree, is there any wonder why people are so fed up with politics! Most of those running have been in Washington for many years and there voting records suggest the opposite of what they are spouting on the camaign trail...but then again why should we expect anything different. Just get it over with! Like the General election, get the primaries over in one day as well!

Dan, almost time...

Tommy, Regina, Dee, Cris...where are you?

Hey Stud muffin, I agree lets get ot over with and get Hillary in office already. We would be in such good shape then........

Hello Cats!!! I see there has been minimal communication around here lately.

We went to Disney for my birthday on 1/2/08 and I got to wear a button they gave me that said today is my birthday and all the employees said happy birthday all day it was fabulous....lol it was also 48 degrees for the high and by 5pm it was about 35 I loved it, we got to wear hats and gloves and a scarf, i know you northerners do this all winter but for us it was like living in Alaska for the day!!!!! lol Dee's family was down so they were with us, her nephew loves mickey mouse, he's 3 and he got to have his photo taken with all the characters and he was in heaven. it is so much fun to go to Disney with kids that age.

Keep us posted on the grills night, we will be there. Maybe we can come hang by the pool with you all the day before you leave. We have no cruises booked for next year as of yet. We are hoping they release space for our free cruise from Princess, it goes very quickly. We had an opportunity to do a new England cruise but it sold out in a matter of minutes so by the time we realized it they were gone. But we shall see!!!

Dan, I bet you and Cortney are getting very excited, how is she feeling this close to delivery.

Sheree, I have not seen any stories posted from you lately, how are things in Ohio?

Barb, how is your mom feeling?

Tommy & Regina, I hope you are both well, maybe we will see you in April at Lake Eola.

George, I know you are a Republic and I feel for you, but you know I had to bust your chops....lol How is the tutoring going for Arrielle and the working out for you and Anne?

Jim, your birthday is coming up, how does it feel to be an old man...lol Of course you will never be as old as Stud Muffin....lollololo How are the kids and is Bobbie planning her wedding?

okay thats it for now, Ciao

Thank you for the prayers for our Mother. She was in the hospital on Christmas Day and stayed for a week because of UTI and high blood sugar (500). The doctor released her to rehab for an additional week. Mother is not a diabetic, but has been on prednisone since the last time she was in the hospital. I have been so busy trying to gather all the meds she is going to need. She is on insulin 2X a day. Her blood sugar has to be checked 4X a day. I am going to be a nurse before it is all over! She is better, but no where near baseline.

We opened Christmas presents yesterday (Greg's bday). I haven't had time to read the past messages. Please continue to pray for Mother.

God bless,
Barb

Barb - thanks for posting an update. I am sorry that she has been struggling so much with her health over the holidays. We'll keep your family in our prayers. Please wish Greg a happy birthday from us. I am glad that you finally got to open your presents!

Not much is going on here. It's snowing this morning so it might be an interesting drive in to work. We're not supposed to get too much, but of course, it has to snow over rush hour!

I hope you are all off to a good week....and let's get posting, Big Cats!

Hey y'all,

Barb, your mom and family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Certainly you all know me well enough and by now could anticipate what I would write it before I would myself. With this being a new year, I think this would be the perfect opportunity to expose my kinder, gentler side (that would not be my back side ;D ). With that in mind, I am choosing to take the high road and not type those words that are running through this troubled mind.......................Then again................just kidding ;D

Darn it George - you pick this moment to be mature? :)

Actually, this is probably not the group to talk politics with. As long as we don't elect Kucinich! :) Honeslty, his office is right across the street from my hospital, and I just can't stand the guy. I don't know why he has to surface each election and allow the whole country to laugh at him, versus just the city of Cleveland!

So, about that cruise.....are we all getting excited? I had a bad cruise dream the other night. We had gotten into Florida and I realized that I hadn't booked my night at the Radisson. So, yesterday I was on-line looking at rooms at the Radisson. I'll probably book and pre-pay that any day now!
Good afternoon all,

Grumpus, when did you all decide on this cruise? I'm gathering you have another thread going; I'll be sure to check in soon.

Got bored yesterday and checked flight, hotel and rental car pricing. The first is quite high right now, but the other two are quite reasonable. Is anyone planning on staying at the Raddison on Fri & Sat nights? We will go ahead and do the same if anyone has this in mind. Otherwise we will just stay close to the airport Friday night and drive down to the port early Sat morning. The Raddison has a $129.00 park/sail package for you locals. Airfare is not very good right now. I'm hopeful pricing wars will break out after the holidays.
Hey George. It's kind of funny how we ended on this cruise with you all again. What happened was my TA & I had a couple friends from our Freedom of the Seas 06 cruise booked on Mariner and a couple of the Pirates booked earlier in 07. So after the Liberty cruise my TA & I started putting out the word that we wanted to have a Freedom/Liberty Reunion cruise. And since there were friends already booked (and they didn't mind seeing us again) we chose this cruise. The bonus was the LA on Liberty gave us a bunch of Vouchers for OBC's so we were able to use all those for everyone that booked. So to cut to the chase, I booked on Oct 11 and most everyone else did within a week of that.

You are correct, we have another thread under Mariner roll call @ you know where... we're already over 2000 post; I guess we love to BS a lot. :) I'm on the bump deck 9 this time so aft is all yours! I'll stay in touch and please stop by at our thread. I'm sure we'll have another sailaway and hope to see you all there.

Fred

BTW, I just got back from Freedom of the Seas last week and she's as beautiful as ever! Now I just need to figure out how I'm going to make it another 242-days till Mariner. Seesh!

Fred,

Thanks for checking in with us here. 2000 posts already; they are going to need a server solely for your thread over there. Things are a little slow here right now, holidays, jobs and various other items have taken many of us away from the boards of late. As usual though, things will probably pick up considerably in the near future. I can't believe you got both the Freedom and Liberty in in just a few months apart...I'm gathering you reside in the sunshine state? We are doing the 7 day Vision out of Los Angeles in May. Certainly not the carribean, but a cruise none the less. On the Mariner cruise, that is funny we all booked the same cruise. We booked shortly after you and were quite lucky to get an aft. It's nice to have long time friends to get together with every year to cruise. How many times have you all cruised together? I think this will be the 6 sailing of the Big Cats...correct me if I'm wrong? It's early yet, but has anyone considered hotel / dining ideas in Port Canaveral. It has become sort of a tradition for us to hook up at the Raddisson at the Port, hit Grills restaurant and hang out be the nice pool at the hotel after. What about you all? Thanks for checking in with us; I'll try to check in more often with you all as well.
