Hello Cats,
The results of Mom's pulminary rehab tests are her lungs are functioning at 37% and after using an inhaler 43%. The stress test revealed that it isn't her heart causing the shortness of breath even though she has CHF. Thanks for remembering her in your prayers. We are waiting until June to decide whether or not Mom is up to this cruise. Realistically, we may have to cancel.

Greg and I love places that are warm. We will have to link up with you guys after the Alaska cruise. We have never been to Mexican Riviera, Costa Rica, Aruba, St. Kitts, or St Barts.

Regina,
Hope the new job responsibilities are lucrative and enjoyable for you.

Sheree,
Sorry to hear about Greg's accident. Glad to hear he is doing okay.

Have a great week!

Hey there cats just catching up. Yes it is cheaper to cruise Alaska in May because you will freeze your A** off!!! LOL

If you need any help or have any question we have an expert on Alaska in our office. Did Michelle and Stan do Carnival or Princess?

Barb, we will keep your mom in our prayers. You should consider souther carib. in October because the Europe and Alaska ships are back and doing the route round trip from Ft. Lauderdale and you can get a 9 night for the price of a 5-7 night cruise. NCL is big for that one.

Sheree, good thoughts and prayers for the job. Tell Greg sorry about the Jeep.

Jim, glad you liked the article, tell the family we said hi.

Hello George, Anne and Arrielle,

Regina and Tommy, you are alive!! Will we be seeing you at Lake Eola in April? I fly Allegiant air to my mom's all the time. I used to fly Northwest from OIA and had to make a stop in Memphis and it was and all day travel and the cheapest was $320RT. Now I fly non-stop straight from Sanford to Shreveport, LA for $49.00 each way, Fantastic!

Hi Dan and Courtney.

Well all, I have to run.

Hi guys - just a quick hello before I head out into the snow. We've got a pretty decent storm going on outside. Hopefully it'll still be pretty tonight if you catch the debate from Cleveland tonight. The trees look gorgeous - there must've been a light coating of ice overnight, followed by the snow, because it's one of those mornings where the snow looks picturesque. The snow is sticking to all of the little tree branches. Of course, I am doubling my travel time this morning because the roads might be a little messy.

Dee - I do have one question for the office expert - I can't remember what I had heard on this. Is it early in the Alaska cruise season or late in the cruise season where the hours of daylight are very short? I can't remember which way this goes! And also on that note, George, I don't know if we can swing another cruise as quickly as May of 2009 - if we decide to go that early in the year, can I suggest May 2010? I need more time to fill the piggy bank.

Barb, glad to see you posting a little. I think about you and your mom a lot, and I truly hope she's feeling better. You know we all want to cruise with you, but more importantly, we want her health to improve.

Hope everyone is doing well - Sheree

Hi Cats! Tomorrow is my big interview, so please, send good thoughts my way tomorrow around 3PM EST!!!!

In other news, Greg's Jeep is getting fixed, he's driving an ugly color Nitro. We're getting ready to plan Las Vegas for June. And I am going shopping this weekend. Oh wait, that's not news.

We're only 6 months away from our cruise. It can't get here soon enough! :)

Howdy Cats...

Sheree good luck tomorrow! Alaska: June is the longest days 23 to 24 hours of daylight. June 22nd is actually the longest day reaching the 24 hours. May is colder but flowers are all in bloom so it is very pretty. June is the best for fishing tours. July is the warmest month to visit Alaska with temps almost reaching 80. August is pleasant as well probably in the 70's . Temps drop in September but you get to experience the leaves changing colors, alot of reds and yellows, also land animal mating season so you will get more wilderness activity, hence Denali. The only thing about Sept. after about the first week some vendors start to pack it in for the season such as Dog Mushing and Helicopter rides. Oh and December they live in darkness.

I hope this helps.

Love to all

Thanks guys - I'll post later to let you know how it went. I've been waiting for this for so long that I can't wait until it's over and out of my hands. I just hope they can make the decision the next week because I've been running the department now for 4 full weeks and I need to know what the future holds. Thanks, as always, for your support, Cats!

Hey Sheree...good luck

on the Alaska front. If you all are considering the one way glacier route you might want to sail a different line than Royal or Celebrity. Royal and Celebrity are not allowed to cruise Glacier Bay. They were banned back in the 90's due to Royal dumping gray water in the bay (sewage) they are not permitted to sail through Glaicer Bay anymore. The whole reason with the one way route is so you can sail Glaicer Bay. Just a heads up.

Hope all is doing well. :wave.

Hi Cats! Well, I think things went well. One person didn't show, as I predicted. The doctor sat to my left and started the interview by grabbing my arm and saying "we like you a lot!" No one asked difficult questions. The only bad one was "why don't you have your Master's?" Besides that, everything was positive. Now the waiting game begins. I should hear an answer the week of the 10th. Of course, I'll let you all know as soon as I know.

Now I am pooped....it's been an exhausting day!

Yeah!!!!!!!! Sheree everything went FABULOUS of course it did!!!!!!!!!!

Dan, how lucky for you to be home from now till the baby is born. I bet that made Courtney happy.

Well we are finally done moving all of our things from the old store into the new studio. We downsized from 2,500s.f to 500 s.f., but I have to say that God is amazing, everything we really needed and most things we really wanted were all able to find a spot. We utilized every inch of space..
We are very excited at the new possibilities in our new studio while being thankful that we are able to continue to do what we love to do when times are tough all over.

Sheree, I cant wait for you to see the new space, we changed all the colors and it is very intimate......

George, are you staying in Orlando or near the Port?

I know we are going to come to the hotel you are all staying at together, is that a Saturday?

Hello everyone else....

Barb, your mom is in my prayers.......

Can't wait to see you all, time is coming quickly.

Dee and I are going on the Mariner for a TA luncheon tomorrow, I love doing these ship inspections but I wish I could get a Fun drink, but you can't because you do not have a sign and sail card....lol

Ciao for now

Cris - I am so jealous of your lunch plans today. I can't wait to see the new location. You said you changed colors - what are the new colors? The previous location was so nice - I am sure you'll make this new space your own and it'll inspire you to make more fabulous bags!

I hope this job stuff gets figured out soon for me. I'm trying not to obsess about it, but I keep on waking up and thinking about it in the middle of the night. I am hoping that I get the job - and if I do then I need to start making some changes and move our department forward. If I don't, I am going to need some time to get over it and decide where I am going to take my career at this point. But also, I need to move on so I can start thinking about this cruise!

How's everyone else doing? Tommy, are you keeping an eye on our Browns? Regina, how are you hanging in there with the new responsibilities?

I am getting a little sick of the snow up here and I can't wait to get a little warm sunshine on my skin! I hope it warms up soon!

Good afternoon all,

Just got off work and sifting through tax info. I am one of those folks who refuses to pay an accountant $350.00 for something I can do myself...begrudgingly of course! How many of you also do your own taxes?

Wow, that's down-sizing! Like Anne, I can't picture you two giving up that much stuff...it's a chromosome thing ;D

We are staying pretty close to the airport Friday night. We actually are getting into town at 8:30 AM. We will be running a few errands and then Anne and Arrielle plan on dragging me to the shop ;D Now that you are strickly by appoinment, my wallet and I will certainly understand if you can't fit the two of them in :D I'll be sure to break it to them gently. As far as Friday night, if you all are up for dinner, we are game. Sheree, what about you and Greg, do you have plans for dinner?

Saturday would be correct. Would you all be able to spend the night? Grills is great, but the pool side before and after is even better. Jim, remember a cooler for the drinks.
