Let us know how that goes - being in three places at once! Also, if you can work out a 4th - Macy's has a lot of Tommy Bahams marked down. I bought Greg a beautiful print shirt and a fun Tommy Bahama T-shirt for the cruise....together they came to under $40 and the shirt alone was regularly $110 or $120. I've never seen it on sale like that before, but also, the Macy's up here haven't carried TB until recently.

Spent some time on the aft wth Greg yesterday, pretending that it was a ships aft. Then we grilled burgers - the perfect afternoon.

I also pulled togehter all of my toiletry items....I think this is the earliest I've ever done that.

What's everyone else up to?

Good afternoon all,

Just got out of the pool at Casa De' Anne and realized we only have 3 more weekends to sit pool side working on our tans prior to the cruise. Upon reading the Sunday paper, I stumbled across this shocking article...

<http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/2008/08/17/20080817tequila0817.html>

If we are all smart, we will buy up as much of the tequillia available and then sell it for a small fortune...of course that all depends on our ability to refrain from consuming the product on our own :D

Pulled a few more items together today for the cruise. Can't really do much until we get this airline thing ironed out.

I have officially started packing today. Only because I was unpacking from the last trip and decided to leave some of it in the suit case for the cruise. So I am now catching up with you all. have a few toiletries and a few clothes packed.

I think we are all feeling the need for this cruise, aren't we? Sometimes I get into planning mode early.....this year I am really into it. I was on the deck yesterday, thinking about how many outfits I need. Greg and I have decided that we are not going to go too dressy this cruise. In the past he has packed several dress shirts and ties - this year he says he is bringing 3 of each. The rest of the time he'll be in short sleeve comfortable shirts and dockers. I am going to stop in Kohls on my way home from work tonight, and that's my last cruise clothes shopping trip....until next year!

Jim - is Fay predicted to come close to you? I am waiting for the story on the Today show to see the latest path. This will also be my brother's first hurricane since returning to Florida last Fall....he's in Cape Coral and it looks like it's coming close to him too. We are hoping that it dies out, but still heads a little up our way so that we can have some rain later this week - but not too much. Our yard is crispy right now. It always scares me when it gets like this because this is how it was before the flood....very dry then heavy rainfalls that flooded our house. I told Greg that I wanted a half inch of rain maybe five times so that we could have color back in our grass! On our forecast is says that the remnants of Fay might hit here on Friday. I am glad Greg is off if the rain storms come our way, just in case something happens. This Wednesday is the anniversary of the flood here.....and yes, I am a little paranoid.

George, any news on the airline business?

Orlando girls, Barb, Randy, where are you all at? Hope you are all doing well!

Hi All,
Sheree,
The news has the track for Fay all over the place as of right now, They are saying that later today a better track will be posted. I sure hope we don`thave a direct hit. Our best bet it for it to hit south of us and we would only get some winds and rain. I will keep yall updated.

Update on Fay...
It looks like the storm will come in south of us... at least that is the track for now... hurricanes can chang at anytime. We are all still getting ready for the worst case. I will post updates as I get them.
On another note RCCL has updates on the storm...Enchantment of the Seas will skip Key West and have a day at sea.

Off to watch the Browns pre-season game. Floridians, be sure to check in so us Northerners don't worry about you! And I fogot to tell you that Greg's last shift before vacation is this Sunday. He's on vacation as of 8 am Monday morning. He's still got a couple of classes to teach at his second job....but honestly, is it fair that he begins vacation so quickly?????

Hi All,
Looks like the storm will hit florida about 150 miles south of us. if that is what happends it will be broke up before it gets to us. So far the schools in my county will be closed a 1/2 day tomorrow. I have been told if the county is closed tomorrow that they will call me in the morning to let me know.
We have had some rain this afternoon and some wind ..but not to bad. I need to get my bus from under the tree..it would kill me to see a tree fall on it LOL

George,
Thanks for the call :)

Sheree,
I don`t want to scare you but Cape Coral is exatly 201 miles south of me. Also I have been through many of theys storms a Cat.1 hurricane is NOT BAD... 75 mile hour winds... houses where I live are designed for 120 mile hour winds and Cape Coral is designed for much higher winds.
I will keep you posted. We will know much more at 11pm that is when the next NOAA advisory will be out.

Thanks Jim....it's okay, I don't like that brother that much. :lol Just kidding! :lol I wasn't sure how close he is to where you are, but he's not that close to you.

He's been through hurricanes from living in FL for 20+ years before coming back north a few years ago, and now, he's back down there and again, it's not new to him. And I've been through a couple of category 1's myself as a kid....so I know it's not terrible. My brother is on the canal, just a stones throw from the gulf, so it's probably not an ideal place, but heck, he's a tough guy, and I do have another brother, so it's okay. (I know, I am being evil tonight X( !!!

I'll call him and check on him.

Hi Sheila - thanks for dropping in!
