Good evening all,
Couldn't sleep, thought I would check in. Work is truly insane; not sure how I will make it until the cruise. I'm really considering asking for a transfer. I can't remember the last time I got up looking forward to going to the work place.
Glad to see those who are ailing are doing well. Dan, if you want free baby stuff, go to the store and write down the corporate address of all the products you are interested in.Then send out a form letter to them all, letting them know you are expecting your first child and you are interested in trying there products. We ended up with regular mailings for baby formula, diapers and countless coupons for free stuff! It was definitely worth the effort. Obviously with the internet now so prevelent, you could do this on-line.

Hey Cats - I checked my e-mail after posting and I had a message from Barb that she asked me to post. Her mom is in the ICU with COPD (lung failure). Barb said that she's doing better than she was at one point, so once again, one of the Big Cats needs our thoughts and prayers. Please keep them in mind.

It's been awhile since I posted.....Margaret monitors your threads all the time... We recently got back from a cruise on the Carnival Valor(10/21)...
We r looking @ the Carnival Legend next Sept......probably get our first balcony!!!!!!!!!!
Margaret and I r both doing good......

And please consider joining us on the Mariner. If you want details, let me know and I'll forward you an e-mail with our information. And you won't regret getting your first balcony. It's the best. I still get the feeling that we are the only people on the ship when we're out on our balcony enjoying the breeze.

My shopping is now about 1/3 of the way done, I would say. And I also bought baby presents for our niece Jennifer. She's having a girl, and I am so glad, because I just love looking at the stuff for the baby. Jenn has just about everything she needs, including the furniture for the room and a car seat. At the rate we're going, there won't be any need for a baby shower!

Well like at well deserving government employees, I am off today. Yes, once again a good example of you tax dollars going to a well deserved cause
I have considered jumping from the second floor...but then again I would more than likely land on one of my staff and he/she would file a grievence on me ;D
Barb, hope your mom is doing better, we will keep you all in our prayers. It's weird about the posting of COPD; about 1/2 hour prior to seeing the post, I seen a commercial for a break through medication for treating COPD. It then went on to state the side effects, which were worse than the condition itself! How in the world do these meds get approved? What they don't tell you is the potential for serious liver failure should you choose to get off the meds. Crazy stuff!
Randy, glad to hear from you. Hope you and Marg are doing well. As Sheree wrote, please consider cruising with us again on the Mariner. You have already done the Spirit class on the Miracle, why not try a class you haven't been on and is as reasonably priced. By the way, the link din't work.
Jim, glad your friends are back at home; how are they doing? You have vehicle work, I have a class study to do on my position at work. So much for the day off! Arrielle has much homework to complete, so we will make good use of the time off.
We pretty much spent the weekend clearing out the kitchen and the office. I can't believe how much stuff we have. Once again we are forgoing the yard sale, in favor of donating to a good cause. I hate yard sales!!!
Sheree, we tried unsuccessfully some shopping over the weekend. It's impossible with a nosey 11-year old in tow! The top of her list this year...an IPOD and cell phone. She at least knows 2 things she won't be getting this year! Her secondary items...yes, secondary items...is a compiled 3 page list! We are once again having trouble with her putting forward the effort in school and this could affect our going on a cruise this year. She is going into Junior High next year and if she doesn't have her grades up, there is no way the school will allow us to take her out for 7 days. Needless to say, I would like to employ all of your help with routine notes of encouragment here on the boards to her to motivate her. Jim, if you could get the kids to help out, I would appreciate it. Did I mention she is a great baby sitter?
Just not quite there yet Sheree. Fine line between winning and losing. The stinking Saints just cost my Rams the #1 pick in the draft...way to show up Saints!
