Smitty I assume you have a balcony cabin??? Don't forget the bungee cord for the door! Actually Im taking two this time so that Also have been told that if you put a magnet on the temp control on the door strip it prevents the ac from going off there for preventing condensation (sp) on the folks below your room. Some people are against it but if you like to have a drink or glass of wine on your balcony before dinner put it in your luggege that is delivered to your room not your carry on..... make sure it's plastic bottles or wrapped in bubble wrap. Don't forget the electrical strip as there are maybe TWO outlets in the cabin. I take my own hair dryer just cause it's a chick thing and oh also the last time I used clothes line clips in the bathroom to help keep the shower curtain closed when bathing. If your in a handicapped room not needed. Might want to think about some kind of sea sick meds although you can get them on board (just in case). The Momster never suffers but I do at times. Sunblock is vital even if your a tanner in my opinion. During the day on ship you will probably spend most time in swim suits and at night..... dress appropriately, if it says formal at least a suit and tie if not a tux. You will probably over pack as I always do but well it's all about the "just in case" :) . Ok just my two cents......... being that Im not very opinionated ;) OMG Im leaving Lexington in less than a week!!! This time next Sat. I will be on the roaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO

Well guys, only 7 more days to go..
When you get on board and have lunch why not try the deli counter and have a delicious corn beef sandwich on rye. (with pickles and all). That was one of my favorites when I was on the Spirit in 2001.
In the diningroom if you go and have lunch there try the spareribs..yummy
And don't forget if you are watching your sugar intake for deserts they have sugar free pies, cakes & ice cream.
Enjoy all the goodies and I will see you all in a week.
Have a safe trip down here to Fla.

Hi all,

Snow's been on the ground for two weeks. -15 C last weekend, freezing rain today, +7 C, -7C tomorrow.

Driving to Montreal on Tuesday, flight to FLL. Wife has the travel binder all up to date with confirmations, maps, passport copies etc.

I want to see a different type of white (not one that melts) bring on the sand, surf and keep those Drinks of Day coming.

See ya there

Chopper,
To bad you could not bring some snow down here to Fla., If you could you would be very popular with the kids.
The sand on the beaches in the Caribbean are pure white ours here in Fla. look sick compared to them.
I see you are going on the Enchantment in March. My friend & I are thinking of doing a 4 nighter in March on the same ship. I was on it a few years ago and had a great time.
See you all next week,
Marilyn

That I am,,,,,LOL and my pocketbook shows it....
I need help keeping me out of the casinos. This time I said I would only play the nickel slots..(sure)..At least that is what I told my daughter.....
My daughter told me I have to meet all you single people and make friends and go to the different things that they have going on during our cruise, instead of donating to the casino.
I need help LOL

Marilyn - Oh I envy you living in South Fla, able to get up and go on a cruise whenever. I am very busy up here in the cold North trying to make enough money to retire to the promised land - summers in Toronto, winters in Miami - my dream. A nice condo on the beach - access to all the cruise ships. Long walks on South Beach.....early bird specials...the grandchildren visiting (not too long a visit)....condo commandos! Yes I am looking forward to all of it. Looking forward to being a beach bubbie!

I am bringing up my suitcases tomorrow - will pack over the weekend - Monday have to take care of last minute work stuff and Tuesday off to Miami first class on United (lots of air miles, not money!).

Are we still all meeting at singles night? Could we also have an alternative site for meeting, since we have people who are not single? What does everyone think - maybe the lobby bar on the second night or the library? It will be nice to put faces to the email streams!

Cindi,
I will be there at 12 at the singles party to meet all of you singles out there....
And the lobby bar for the second nite if fine with me too....Can't miss it the Chanukkah lites are just above the bar and the Xmas tree is not too far away....
I am down here in Fla. since the early 70's and hate it...too hot...but I am just too lazy to move again. Surely won't move back to New York....My whole family is down here in Fla. kids, nieces, grandkids
But I do miss the cold weather and snow....

Im gonna find all of you somehow........ we got really bad news today. Momsters friend that we met on the last cruise had an issue over visa going into the Bahamas this week, he was sent home to Canada yesterday to clear things up and it will probably take about a month. It honestly was the main reason I booked this cruise, for the Momster and because he was going to be on the ship. He hasn't done anything wrong and well whats rough is I can't complain. It is basically due to "Home Land Security" being what it should be. He will be back on a ship within a couple of months but well....... it means the Momster's ......well she's hurt. Not his fault ......not anyone's fault. You will never hear me complain about Homeland Security. She is determined to ahve a good time.....lots have tears have been shed but after all we will be on a cruise. We leave tomorrow at about 9 am. You won't be able to miss me, I have the funky Santa hat and trust me, it's funky.

Be safe and travel well.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
