Hey sorry for ot posting been busy.. sounds like you al have a plan that will work.. if need be we can bid for 2 rooms and see what happends ...I would like to stay at the same hotel ,,,but if that didn`t happen we would bo ok with that ( we could have the pool party at the best pool)

Good morning all,
Just tried $70.00 and no luck. I left a message with Sheree yesterday and forgot to post this on the boards. I went on both the Hyatt and Intercontinental websites and both have government rates at $107.00. In talking to a rep from the Hyatt, municipality government employees don't qualify for the rate, but at the Intercontinental they do. At what price do we stop Priceline and consider direct book with the hotel?
We went to the Home & Garden show at the new Cardinals stadium yesterday. I'm not usually into these shows, but I have to admit we came away with many good ideas for our re-design of the house. Not to mention all the vendors under one roof will make it easy to obtain quotes. We are going back today and considering the purchase of a tiled in grill and frig with sitting area for 4. Really nice setup, just need to check the internet on the vendor. Lowes is re-tiling/carpeting the whole house for us in the next few weeks. Since we are going to stay here until retirement, we mise well make it how we want it. You're all invited for the house warming party when we are done.-D

George - not sure if you saw my post from Friday but I was actually told that we did not qualify for the government rate. (We meaning Greg and I.) The woman I spoke with told me that we'd qualify for the city/state government rate, which is the $169 rate....
I have a feeling that Priceline is not going to work for a few months though because we are still so far out. It seems like most winning bids on the two bidding websites are for March and April, though I see one for June.
Just like everyone else - I just want us all to be at the same place and can't wait for the pool night before the cruise. It's a great way to kick off the week to follow!
We had a movie day today. We watched Employee of the Month, which was mindless yet funny. It's not what I'd call a "good movie" but there were some really funny parts. The characters in it worked at Costco....so if you are a fan of Costco I think you get an even bigger kick out of it. We also saw The Devil Wears Prada which was really good. Meryl Streep was perfect - but she reminded me a bit of my boss......And then we watched The Departed, which was really good, but a little bit too long. We haven't had a lazy movie day in a long time, but it was quite enjoyable!
Cris and Dee - though I don't expect you to be reading this tonight, we will keep Doris in our thoughts tomorrow. I am sure she'll be just fine! Be sure to post something just so we all can rest easy.....

mechanic dad here ....had to put steering box on bubbas truck tonight, was not a fun job but I think we have all his problems fixed now )
we have bobbies van on the road ...kind of ..I need to adjust the clutch and turn up the idle a bit than we can start driving it to work to find all the bugs that are in it..but we were driving it

Good morning Cats!!!
Doris' surgery went fantastic, he was able do the actual brain part in 1 1/2 hours and 40 minutes to insert the new box. She had a horrible headache and a rough night but doctor said she is doing great.
We got top the hospital at 5am and dee and I left at almost 11pm, needless to say we were exhausted, at one point we found a few hospital beds hanging out in the hallway and we jumped on for a 45 minute siesta...lol
Dee begged the doctor to keep doris an additional day which they are going to do, they would normally send her home this morning, but after last time and the difficulty it was on both dee and doris going home the doctor has graciously agreed to keep her another 24 hours. So much better by then she will be ready to come home and moving about.
She is a real trooper I will say that, the initial nurse could not get a vein and poked her several times making her bleed until finally calling for someone who could actually get a vein. Then the Halo they used had two bigger bolts then the last one so the puncutre holes were slightly bigger and more painful, but she did so good. We are really proud of her.
Dee uis holding up she got a good night sleep and is at the hospital, they moved doris to a normal room this morning so dee is going to hang with her and watch movies or something. i will be going to the hospital after work to check in so I will give you all an update tomorrow morning.
We appreciate the continued prayers that her healing timw will be rapid and the shaking will finally be gone forever.
We love and appreicate you guys so much...

I just wrote a whole long page of info and when I went to post the site went wacky and I lost it all....Very frustrating. Here we go again!
Doris had a great day yesterday she is still in the hospital, she was scheduled to be released today but we are not sure yet because it would appear that the nurses have no idea how to put in an IV. Doris has rolling veins and they had to put the IV's into the hands, I told you about the first nurse who was awful, but the nurse in ICU put in a new IV on the other hand but by last night Doris was comlplaining that her hand hurt and everytime they touched it it hurt. Well they came in last night to attach the antibiotic drip and by 4am Doris called the nurse and said something does not feel right my hand really hurts. he checked it, flushed it which was painful and said no problem here and left. At shift change this morning, Doris told the new nurse I really don't feel right my hand really hurts, the nurch checked it and immediately removed the IV and said it was in wrong and 1/2 the antibiotic never even made it into her system. Can you believe these people. Needless to say they are waiting on the Doctor to call to see if she hasd to stay and get the antibiotic through an IV or if she can leave and take it in a pill form. she also has low potassium levels they are trying to build up.
She has some pain or discomfort in her cheeks and along the side of her face, but hopefully that will go away in a day or so.
Dee is doing okay, doris' room is fabulous, she has a recliner, mini fridge, tv, dvd, a murphy bed...The hook-up.lol
Julie is leaving to go down to her moms tomorrow, her cousin is in from Michigan so she is going to spend time with her until Sunday.
Other than that nothing going on.....
I will check back in and let you know what the latest is.

I would be HECKA mad if the nurses or doctors couldn't insert an IV correctly!!!! I feel bad for Doris! For one, I HATE NEEDLES, and the nurses screwing up like that................WOW!!!! I hope Doris ends up taking the pills so her hands and arms get a break!!!!
