Sherre we called them lighting bugs too. we use to catch them and put them in a jar with a lid, poke holes in the lid so they could breathe and use the jar as a lamp or just to put in our rooms when we went to bed at night because we thought they were so COOL. Funny what kids so.
Too bad Arielle will never goet to experience that.

Unfortunately I had to work today...it was 115 today, my face is scorced red! Supposed to be 117 for the 4th.
I don't think drunk husbands would be quite an accurate depiction. We would like to think we provide a valuable service to all husbands by informing them of the best sites for beverages. This is not about self gratification,we are merely public servants, providing an invaluable service to our fellow man. Geesh, I need a beer

Hi guys - Jim, good job on stealing the marker and the page!
We just got home from the baseball tournament. My cousin's team beat the 3-time state championship team, but this was just a regular tournament that everyone was playing in. We were really thrilled to see the skill level that these 11 and under kids play at. It was amazing - they have a great coach - and they obviously have learned the true meaning of teamwork. It was a great day,
George - this is just for you. I am sorry that it was 115 out there today. We probably didn't hit 65 and with the winds coming off of Lake Erie, it was freezing. I was wrapped up in my blanket and I was still freezing sitting in the bleachers.
Yep...drunken shoppers. Maybe we need to think about renaming our group.....the Big Drunken Shopping Cats....it's kind of catchy.

Seen something crazy at target today. AS we were leaving the store three security guards were trying to apprehend a couple (our age) for shop lifting. The husband (I'm assuming) managed to get out of securities grasp and ran out of the store, without his flip flops...and oh yeah...his wife! What a loser to leave her standing there crying as he ran off. On the bright side he was barefoot and the pavement had to be 130 - 140 degrees. There's a hospital across the street from the store, Police won't have to look to far to find him.

I feel your pain about management...what a day..boss is on vacation until wed. of next week so guess who gets to do everything
Than Bub called said his truck was running bad I had to tow him home he has a rod knocking (mean compleat rebuild) I can`t do this now I already have bobbies motor out and will have parts tomorrow I need a mechanic. anyway we are getting the jeep licensed tomorrow so Bub has something to drive. Until we can get his motor tore down and rebuilt and on the road again
could I have a cruise please!!!

Jim, we could sure use a good mechanic, how about a week's stay at the world renowed Casa De'Anne as a trade off. On the topic of management, If I were on the second floor, I would jump. Then again, with my luck the sheet would be to long. I was downtown on the 16th floor of city hall yesterday and always find myself gazing out a conference room long panoramic view overlooking the city...ok more like drooling. It is truly an amazing view. Anyway, after our meeting I inquired about the feasibilty of moving my office to this particular room and my boss replied..."no way, it's days like today you would be tempted to jump"! He obviously knows me better than I thought.
Denise, glad to see Doris is monitoring the boards. Please ask her to check in when she feels up to it. Enjoy the 4th.

The process is pretty simple, probably because I know the director a bit. I just applied, and I know my boss put in a good word for me during the monthly director's meeting, and then I got a call from our recruiter to set me up for an interview with the director. Now if I was interviewing for a director's job there would be two rounds of interviews, with one of those interviews being the panel of directors.

So for all of you managers....I feel your pain and I've been feeling it a lot lately! Today I couldn't get out of work because one of my regional directors (inflated title - he really is lucky to have a management role) calls me at a couple minutes before six to tell me that the person that he is trying to suspends "strongly disagrees" with the suspension. I had to tell him that we investigated the situation and we strongly agree that he needs to be suspended. So, suspend him, and let him know how to file a grievance. I honestly think that if I wasn't there, this director would've wimped out in the middle of the suspension. Grow some cajones, if you know what I mean! I would've fired him, you are lucky that you just got to suspend him!
Dee - glad things are going well. Please tell Doris we'd love to hear from her once in a while. That little puzzlegeek! Or Doris, if you are lurking, say something once in a while! We think about you often (we don't talk about you like we talk about George) and we hope you are doing well. And hi to Julie so she doesn't feel excluded!

well Bubba in now driving the Jeep it is a 1979 but runs good and I had all the paper work changed over with the insurance so he is leagal.
Bobbies parts came in today so I will work for a few hours tomorrow on it before we go to my neices house for the 4th festivities. we have lots of fireworks (like way to many) but I love to see stuff blow up so I will be in my glory.
