Hi guys. Still doing laundry. I gave up after 4 loads of cruise clothes, one of sheets and one of towels. Probably just 2 or 3 more to go today. Oh, and my Browns were beat by the Raiders. We're so glad that we could help with ending the Raider's long losing streak. Isn't it funny that we all have horrible football teams????
I talked to my niece yesterday and I don't know why I never made this connection, but she just got off the Carribean Princess, the ship that the girls just went on. Nic enjoyed it, but had a few problems with service. For one, they ordered a honeymoon package, and they didn't get it. When they got on board, they were supposed to have champagne, canapes and chocolate covered strawberries, plus robes in the cabin. They were so tired from the wedding that they didn't mind, and they figured that they'd get them the next day. When they went to the pursers desk, they said "what honeymoon package?" Nic had her documentation and everything and they said they'd investigate. They didn't see anything for another day, so she went down there again and they said they'd set it up for the next sea day. Well, after one more trip to the pursers desk, they finally were told that they messed up, and gave her a partial credit. On their last sea day, they had breakfast on their balcony, champagne with strawberries, canapes with more chocolate covered strawberries, another bottle of champagne, and oh yeah, the robes for one night! She said that they ended up with more than they could eat, and 2 bottles of champagne that they had to drink that day, pack up, or toss out. Other than that, she said she preferred the food on Costa and the activities on Carnival more, but it was still good. She said she might try Royal Carribean next, or perhaps go back to Carnival.
Let's keep posting regularly so we can keep the cruise fresh in our minds - and maybe next year won't seem so far away!
