I am so sad and in shock that I am having problem even writing this. I never got to meet her in person but felt that I knew her our April cruise is going to be very sad but I know she would want us to have a good time so we are going to have to try for her sake.

She might have been Mamma Duck to everyone but she was the Queen to me. I just talked to her in length on Friday as was doing ok all things considered. She was family. She warmed our hearts. She was a great friend and we loved her. We will miss her. She will be in our memories forever. We are heartbroken and deeply saddened......Mary Ann, you are the best.

When I opened this thread my heart skipped a few beats, I can't believe it. Dear Mary Ann, such a wonderful, generous woman. We feel so privileged to have met her in Adelaide a few years ago, and to have sailed with her and the Ducks to Alaska.
She always had a kind word for anyone who needed it.
Rest in peace sweet lady, a new shining light in heaven. You will be sorely missed here. I feel for little Pucci
I don't know what else to say, this is so sudden and unbelievable

Just read this and the tears fall making it difficult to see to type. I never expected this and even tho I only knew her thru the boards I am so sad as she will be so missed by all. Prayers and hugs to all of you who were so close to her. I feel as if I have lost a dear friend and know this will be so very hard on Pucci. I just don't know what to say as the tears keep coming. Rest in peace MaryAnn you will be so missed but your wonderful memories will live in our hearts forever.

I am in total shock!!

This was not the kind of news I wanted to see this morning when I turned on my computer.

Sympathies for Mary Ann's family and for all of you who knew her.

OH DEAR LORD NO NO....I am sick with shock. I am just lost for words. God must have needed to add a solid Gold Angel to his staff. @ddicts has lost a dear Member and this will be very difficult for so many. My heart goes out to Pucci and all of her close family of friends. May your rest in peace dear Mary Ann.

VERY sorry to hear this news. :( She can join my dear dad in their newly found home above where each day is sunny with animals frolicking in the green fields. I know her Topaz has found her as I know all of my past Goldens have found dad for their next wrestling match.

I don't know what to say. I too never met her. Lots of talk on the phone, email, and PM's. She was and is one of a kind. Kind, Generous, Caring, Thoughtful, and a genuine First Class Person.

Bon Voyage Mary Ann! You will be missed.

I am still in shock. This is so unblievable. Mary Ann was 1 of the sweetest kindest women I have ever known. Like Patty when I had my emergercy surgery a couple of years ago she sent me the most beautiful duck planter with the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen. She also called me most everyday while I was in the hostiful over 13 days & called after I got home to see if I was doing ok. She has done so much to help others & never wanted others to know how much she di. She is surly going to be missed by so many. I feel so bad for Pucci. RIP my friend.

Just read the news on FB -what a tragedy! I didn't even know she was in rehab. I felt like I was just getting to know Mary Ann as we used her to book our last cruise (in February). She was so kind and helpful and went 10 steps above anyone else we ever used. Before we got on the ship, the norovirus was going around and they were supposed to sanitize the ship. She called Princess before we left to see what the standing was, if there were any more outbreaks (there weren't). When we got on the ship, she not only honored our room credit, but has a gift certificate for a bottle of Asti and a certificate for a dinner for Mike and I at Sabbatini's. I remember being so surprised at what a generous gift that was. I wrote her a thank you note as soon as I got home and let her know how pleased we were with everything and told her we would definitely book with her again. I will miss reading all her posts on CA. Rest in Peace Mary Ann, you will be missed by many.

When I Must Leave You
When I must leave you for a littlewhile,
Please do not grieve and shed wild tears
And hug your sorrow to you through theyears,
But start out bravely with a smile;
And for my sake and in my name
Live on and do all things the same,
Feed not your loneliness on empty days,
But fill each waking hour in usefulways,
Reach out your hand in comfort and incheer
And I in turn will comfort you and holdyou near;
And never, never be afraid to die,
For I am waiting for you in the sky!

OMG! I can't believe it. To say that MaryAnn will be missed is putting it mildly. Such a dear, wonderful, caring lady who touched so many hearts.
