Hello!
I have to just offer a thought to those who wonder why one would cruise on a line that prohibits wine brought on board.
I joined Cruise Addicts after booking our first cruise in 2002. We were in our early 30's knew nothing of cruising at that time. Well we have cruised X 4 now and once on RCCL. Kinda got into the entire cruising thing....brought 2 bottles of my fav wine to enjoy on the balcony as we don't party in the bar)I even brought my own coffee maker and Starbucks! Feeling like we really knew what we were doing! Well, we had a huge family crisis and almost lost a family member last year. These things can really trying times for people but by gosh, after canceling our NCL cruise for 2006,we are back on board for a cruise again in 2007! Trying Rhapsody! Well, I had no idea they had banned bringing wine on board! I was busy trying to take care of my family instead of reading the latest thread. For some, having your own wine on board is very nice. Even if only a $20.00 bottle of wine never seen on any of my 4 ships ( Columbia Crest). Had I known, I would not have booked with RCCL. Now I am kinda stuck. I just wanted to give an example tothose who can't seem to understand how some of us may feel about this.
