Never got a chance to post here yesterday, so I figured I better do so while I have time. It's going to be a pretty busy day around here. We're trying to get as much cleaning done this week, as Brian & Sara arrive the day after we get home from the cruise. I want to know I just have to run a dust cloth over things and we'll be good to go. Also need to do some laundry, including some shirts Bert wants to take. That also means I have to get out the iron ... UGH! My least favorite thing to do!! Then I have to go buy some new mascara and eye shadow. So much to do ... So little time!!!:girly

Guess I better get dressed, if I'm ever going to get anything done.

Hi all........

Checking in............been out and about...............went and voted too.............went to Kohls to get one of those Shiastu pillows..........then we went to Walgreens for something and I saw the same pillow almost 10 dollars less!! At walgreens!!!!!!! So back to Kohls,Ill go..........wonder if they have a match price policy.................also saw the Shiastu chair massge and it was 20 dollars less(and that wasnt a sale price, where as those were sale prices at Kohls!).............

Hope San is having a good time in his travels..............same with PQ.........lucky her on the MA!!

Nice to see you drop by, PH. I felt like everyone had abandoned me.:(

We went and voted yesterday. It was very hard to realize we were in the US. We were the only ones speaking English!!! That's what we get for going to Poinciana (aka little San Juan!) to vote. We were lucky though and only had to wait in line for about 10 minutes. Other places the line was much longer. So now we don't have to listen to any more of the political ads and that's a good thing!

Been doing a mental checklist of what all I'm bringing on the cruise. I think I finally have it all figured out. Now I just have to do the same for Bert and that will be the challenge.

Just poured myself a glass of wine, so I think it's time to go out on the deck and relax for a bit.

Hi all,

Finally got a minute to stop by. Still trying to get cruise stuff together. BB, bring your woolies, it's supposed to be a high of 48 when we sail out of Boston on Tuesday. BRRRRR! I am soooooo looking forward to some warm weather.

BTW, use the laundry on the ship for ironing. I'm packing stuff wrinkled and sending it out.....then I don't have to worry about it getting wrinkled in the suitcase. Did that for the transatlantic and it worked out great. Clothes were such a wrinkled mess after 3 days in London, and the laundry did a wonderful job. Worth the price, that's for sure.

Got a whopping refund of $14.55 per person for Newfoundland being cancelled on our 2009 TA. Reduction in tax and fees.

Weather today cold, rainy and windy. Most of the leaves will be off the trees by tonight, so not much color left for the folks coming for the Jewel repo.

Time to think about dinner. Talk with you all later.

Rita

Rita.thats what Dennis does................doesnt bother ironing his clothes.............just sends them out.......he is VERY picky about wrinkles and used to iron, pack it and then it would still wrinkle.................its very affordable to have the ship do them................congrats on the refund.....haahah

Good morning! Lawn guys just showed up and are making a racket outside. I guess they're trimming the bushes too today.

PH - We leave on Sunday morning. A friend is driving us to the airport. We had planned to have Kris or Gary drive us, but Gary is running a half marathon Sunday morning in Daytona, so that didn't work. When we get to Miami, I have a car rented. We'll drive home and leave the car at OIA.

Have a wonderful time on SOS. Say hi to Kevin and find out where's he's going. Hopefully, it will be the Monarch. I just thought of something ... Seeing as how this is the very last time SOS will sail as a RCCL ship, they are no longer going to need those metal drink menu holders in the bars. Soooo .... If you want to be a very good friend, you'll try to procure one of them for me! It would look so good up on my bar! Who knows - If you ask, they just might give it to you! And finally, give SOS a great big hug for me and have a farewell drink to toast the ole gal for us.:thumb

Rita - Dang! That's cold!!!! Guess I better dig really deep into the pile for warmer clothes. Here comes the velour outfit again!!! I wonder how long we'll have to sail before we reach warm weather???? It better not be too long. I'll have icicles in my veins if it takes too long!

San - Hi and bye! Slow down, pal. You sure are on the run these days. Have fun and have a safe trip, wherever the heck it is you're off to this time.

Marcia - I use the mute button too to eliminate all the election commercials. It's like enough already!!! Speaking of the election, anyone know what thrift store they're going to put SP's clothes in? I want to make sure I get there early while the selection is still good!:)D

OK, I'm out of here for a while ...

Yeah, but the ship I'll be on still need them for future cruises. SOS isn't going to need them any longer.:( I sure wish they did!

Grim rainy day in this neck of the woods. It was still pitch black outside at 7:30 And wouldn't you know it that I'd be wide awake at that time.

Doing the last of the laundry today and organizing the last of what we're taking with us. Tonight's BINGO, so I want to have almost everything packed before then.
