Busy day................We're headed to the gym shortly...........Im meeting with a personal trainer today to tell me what I need to do(which appararently Im not doing right now)..........then have some stuff to get done around here................later,having the inlaws over for their anniversary!

Good morning! Much as I love going away, it's so nice to come home and sleep in your own bed.=sleep
We had a lot of fun up in NC with J&J. It was a very full couple of days. Friday evening they had a wine tasting with 2 other couples. It was too funny listening to a bunch of wine snobs discussing letting the wine open up, telling you how full it was, and more blah, blah, blah! My comments? Either I liked it or not. It was that simple. Of course some of these wines that Jeff had cost $100+, so I had to be quiet!
Saturday evening we went to a German restaurant that recently opened by them. OMG ,,, The food was delicious, but was very heavy. Good thing we went at 6. I couldn't imagine eating this food later. It just sat too heavy in the tummy.
On Sunday Joanne & I went to see a community theater production of Cabaret. It was excellent. When we got back to the house, Brian & Sara were there with Mallorie. They had been to Myrtle Beach for the weekend, but came home early enough to visit with us. Mall is getting so big and is an absolute little love.
So all in all, it was a fun weekend that went way too fast. Of course coming home yesterday was no fun whenever we hit a t'storm. There were lots of them especially after we hit Florida.
PH - Good luck with your personal trainer. That should be fun ... NOT!!!:lol
Sorry I missed that senior special for Oct. 4. Hopefully, they'll do it again. If you see it again, give me a holler.
San - Sounds like you and Joseph have been having a lot of fun together. And I see you're continuing his education on the fairer sex. You're as bad as Bert on that. Seems to be a grandpa thing!
Rita - I can't believe how cool it is up your way. Someone forget to tell the weatherman that it's just about summer?

Welcome back, BB.....glad that you had a nice trip. I would have had a problem with the pretentious talk about the wine......kinda makes me laugh when I hear people doing it.
It appears that I was able to keep PH out of trouble while you were gone.....atleast, I think I did.....never know for sure.
No call from C&A yet. Not sure what I would ask for anyway.....their wine is so bad........I drink $5 wine at home, so I am not a wine snob......but, their wine is pretty bad, which doesn't make sense to me because there are some good cheap wines available......it's like they buy the bad stuff to make people upgrade.

howdy...........
Taking a break..Dennis is still power washing the pool deck.I went to Lowes and got more plants..........only 11,but by the time I planted them,I had sweat in my eyeballs...........its friggin hot...............
decided not to bbq for the inlaws tonite..........gonna take them out instead..............Knowing me,I would spend at least the same amount in the store buying all the stuff....................
FR prices have come down from when you looked last week,BB......check it out.......

I guess the three of us have no class, if we can't do "wine talk"!:lol But ya know what - I couldn't care less about what these so called experts think about a given wine. I would have loved to take a bottle of Two Buck Chuck, put it in a decanter and let them have a go at it. Trouble is that normally that's what they all drink at home!

I have been buying Barefoot Carbernet Sauvignon.......it's a little pretentious, has a nice wiggle to it, smells like fresh cut hay, and gives you a nice smirk as you drink it. The only downside is that it has a touch of parmesson aftertaste.....but, another drink of it makes it scamper away. ......$5.99 in Safeway.

He's so full of you know what. We know where he comes from, so he can't put on airs with us and get away with it. Once his snobby friends aren't around, he's back to normal. PH - You're right - I don't like the aft cabins anymore. Too far to walk. I like the cabins closest to the elevator. Figured out that the closer you are to the elevator, the more likely you will be in one of the lounges for the muster drill. That sure beats standing outside cooking.

Waiting for a/c guy to come back.............the coils unfroze,but I dont think its as cold as could be.............might as well, get him back while I dont have to pay anymore......

Hi PH!! I see we both use ebay for things we want! Aren't you glad there's an ebay around, even if their fees are driving me nuts?
I just redeemed 50,000 VISA points to get $500. off the FR cruise. I just got the certificate yesterday, but will wait a bit to send it in.
Good idea to get the AC guy back, if it's not cooling enough. With the heat we're having this week, you certainly don't want a hot house.

I've seen that Rex wine but never bought it..............I think the label attracted my eyes.......If I dont go to ABC,I buy my wine at Winn Dixe.........they have good deals.......and the store has really shaped up..............not slummy like it used to be...........
