PS---we had a storm like that the other day when I was coming home from Publix...........COULD NOT even see the road.........it was frightening................

I can't even remember the last time I might have needed it. Filling out a job application, all they ever wanted was my SS number and haven't asked to see the card for a very long time. Bottom line is that I'll have a replacement card in 7-10 days and Bert can continue filling out the pension paperwork. Can you believe he also needs a notorized copy of MY birth certificate ... not HIS, but MINE! Go figure!

Just made a dr appt for tomorrow..my knee still hurts after a week................its more like a PITA! hahaha

Good luck at the doctor tomorrow. I hope he finds that's it's from too much exercise and that you shouldn't exert yourself like that anymore! I firmly believe that the only good exercise is one that you can do while sitting on your butt!!! You know things like typing, scrolling with the mouse and drinking!!!D

Nice that Dennis gets home early today. I hope the rains stay away and give you some pool time.

Not sure if we'll have pool time...................we're gonna head out to eat......so then he can come home,sleep and leave............this time he says he'll leave early so I dont have to wake up during the night...............last night I was too tired and told him to take the car,knowing he'd be home early today...........

Inlaws got a new frig and stove today..........glad to see they are sprucing up our future home............hahaha next, we'll tell them they need granite........

I see you finally got your 5,000 right under fitness instructor. That's really funny - you as a fitness instructor who hurts her knee while doing fitness stuff!!!

I think we're going out to eat tonight too. Bert wants to use a gift card we have from Applebee's. Not my favorite, but as long as I don't have to cook, I'm good to go.

Im all sweaty now....someone cut the grass next door(it was about 3ft high--foreclosure) and all the dead grass came onto our yard...clumps of it............even covered my gardenias and it was plastered up against the fence...............Dennis works very hard to make the yard look good,so I went and used the blower and blew it all back into their yard............and its HOT out there.............maybe I should email the realtor to ask her to have them blow it away next time....................funny thing,they didnt do the backyard which is equally high(PLUS a pitch black(water) pool)...............no wonder we are seeing more snakes this year................they have to be living there...

Hello ladies,

Wow, sounds like a fun time yesterday at the SS ofice. At our local office, you take a number and wait your turn. Longest I ever had to wait was 20 minutes, and my question was handled in about 30 seconds.

PH, sorry to hear about your knee pains. I have bad arthritis in my knees, and sometimes walking is a real pain.....but getting up after sitting for a long time (like in the MDR on a cruise) is a real pain!

Had a nice note from Mr.R today. I wonder if he got to go on the Equinox pre-inaugural. The ship looks great, and I do think that RCI is pushing us (all of us in the age groups who don't cruise with their kids) to CEL. That's OK, as I got wonderful treatment on X, the two cruises we did. With the new Captain's Club benefits, you can book online and get the onboard credit which could take the place of the balcony discount on RCI. Sounds like a push!

I'll be in the office every week day from tomorrow until August 10, so no more sleeping in for me. At least I have a million things to keep me busy.

Funny cuz just this afternoon,Dennis and I were talking about taking a X ship sometime.............would love to do the 10/11 nighter Equinox,but its too $$$ for us...........maybe a weeklong Solstice............such a nice ship...............

Had Italian tonite at our fav little place............I had sausage,peppers and onions(sub).OMG--the best sausage I ever had............

Back from dinner. It reminded me why we never go to Applebee's. I guess having a gift card made it ok, but paying full price, I'd pass in a heatbeat. Much rather one of the other similar type restaurants.

Time now to find something on TV and call it a night on the computer.

I would be happy if RCI would fix the inequity in awarding cruise credits........but, by then, I will have transferred all my business to Celebrity. I am almost done with RCI.......I see way too many new cruisers on CC getting upgrades.

I'm not angry at RCCL, I'm just quite disappointed in the direction that their RCI division is going. Besides, I can go on Celebrity and now get just as good benefits as I used to on RCI.......actually, the CEL benefits suit us more now than the RCI ones. Less riff raff too.

I just talked to Marcia, she was at home, but is now in the same convalescent hospital as Carl, she sounds tired and her speech is slow.

I think most of the cruise lines that appeal to the mass market are evolving to please their customers. Back in the days when cruising was a novelty to most, people went with whatever the cruise line said. On our first RC cruise on MN you got a notice in your cabin on formal night that said as a courtesy to your fellow passengers, it is requested that you stay in your formal attire all evening. And you did. Today I can't wait to get back to the cabin after dinner to change into something comfortable. For my money, they could ditch formal night all together and I'd be a happy camper. Guess I wouldn't fit on CEL, huh? Besides, I don't like champagne !
I found it interesting when we were on the Carnival Pride last April that they no longer call it FORMAL NIGHT. On Carnival it's called ELEGANT NIGHT.

San - Thanks for the update on Marcia. Still sending prayers and good thought up to Ohio for Marcia & Carl.

Allergies have really kicked in the past 2 or 3 days. My head is so clogged and I feel miserable. Haven't gotten a good night's sleep in 3 nights now. I am so exhausted tonight that it definitely will be a night to head to bed early.
