Not much going on............Dennis left for Savannah(the port) around 2ish.......he was hoping to be on his way home by now,but the load isnt ready yet.....in any case, he should be home kinda early.......
Looks like a nice sunny day........so far..........
Woke up to what sounded like hammering behind us...........not sure what they are doing today............

PH - You woke up to hammering? I woke up at 7 to hammering too. Also to the sound of the concrete trucks to start pouring the pool next door. I thought you couldn't make noise until 8? Really pi$$ed me off as I was sleeping so soundly. Can't even go out on the lanai with all the noise.:bat:What a pain! Not my idea of a quiet Saturday morning.
Not much planned for today, but might have to find somewhere to go that will be quiet. I'm getting a headache already!

Payl - You have to go in and change the time for our area. I believe it's under User CP. Click on it and you will find the area to set your time. I've already set mine and see that you posted last at 9:28. I hope that helps.

Can't believe they've been pouring concrete for almost 5 hours now and they're not even half finished. This is going to be a l-o-n-g day.
Missy surprised me by showing up right after my last post. She's dealing with some issues and needed to run some stuff by us. Poor kid! It sucks to be a parent today. I sure wouldn't want to be raising teenagers today!
I guess she'll stay for lunch and then head back north. Between packing for the move to TX and dealing with her kids, she has her hands full right now.

Dennis got home.......we went to Outback....I had a new dish...chicken cutlet with tangy honey mustard and sweet potato fries......OMG~~it is the best meal I have ever had..........Dennis had his usual.......Wedge of lettuce with blue cheese and a sirloin(Pittsburgh style--no seasoning)
He wound up taking another load back to Savannah......left around 2 this am and is already home.......should be here by 12:30.........he working as hard as he can cuz lately the loads suck............
Gonna grill today and maybe some pool time in..........he's gonna cut the grass.........so all in all,it should be a stay at home kind of day........

Morning! I hope today doesn't turn into another rainy afternoon like we had yesterday. It poured for about an hour. Saw on the news last night that basically this area was the only one that got rain. Lucky us!
Your dinner last night sounds yummy. Might just have to give Outback another try. Lately we haven't been all that pleased with the food there. We got Chinese takeout from the new place by us. Their food is so good and I actually like their sushi. That's got to be a first. We got the soft shell crab sushi which is my favorite.
Today is going to be the same old same old around here. Nothing much planned, as usual!

The trick with outback and their steaks is tell them you want it cooked Pittsburgh style(thats on a grill) or else they cook it on a flat iron.......big difference.we were told that by an ex Outback employee.......
Having steak again today.......just made a big salad and I'll throw the steak on the grill when Dennis is about home.........Im sucha good little wifey..

That soft shell crab sushi is usually called a "spider" in most sushi restaurants. That's because they stick the claw part extended out of the sushi (like spider legs) on 2 pieces. We've got leftovers from dinner last night. Bert's going to stop off today and get some "rock & roll" sushi, whatever the heck that is. He wants to give it a try. That will be the most exciting thing going on around here today!

Sounds like everyone is having the same kind of Sunday we are. We are resting after taking our grandsons fishing---loads of fun, but, a lot of work also. We are having dinner with our son and his family so, I don't have to cook today. Good for me! Happy BD Gordon ! Hope you are having a good one. It is very hot here in Vero, so, I guess I will go take a dip in the pool before heading over for dinner.

PH, I heard you calling for me, but I can't help you with the football talk..........I love football (the professional kind) and the Patriots, and Bill and I have travelled to see BC play many times in the past. Funny thing I was just saying yesterday that I miss Sunday football, but I don't want fall to be here.....summer just got here, so I don't want to think about fall.
I've been in the moutains in NH with my friends (girls weekend away) and we did nothing but sit on the beach, eat, drink and relax! Had lobster for dinner and lunch and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I got a lot of sun yesterday and my nose had a blister this morning! Went out on the boat for a bit, but just chilled out. Weather was perfect, warm sunny, no humidity, no clouds, and at night, we didn't near the a/c, so we could sleep with the windows open. Same group we're cruising with next month.....we've been friends for over 30 years......lots of comfort in that!
Time to see what's needed at the grocery store......getting back to reality is not nice

Bert & I headed for the Grill this afternoon, but got half way up the boardwalk when we heard them blasting the music we hate. We did an immediate about face and came back home. Good thing too ... Kris called and said they're coming over in a bit. She sounded like something is going on, but wouldn't say what it is. Said she'd tell me when they get here. Great! Just what I need - More drama! I've had enough of that this weekend. I could use a cruise!!!
