Im here.....sick as a dog...........been up all night long in the bathroom(so I have been napping all day on and off).............lost 5 pounds over night........what does that tell you??

Well, so much for getting the car! The guy wanted it there by 8:00 and no later. He called 4 hours later to tell us how much it would cost and we gave the ok. He said the car would be ready at 4. Bert just called him. He doesn't even have the $#&@% part yet! It's coming from the caddy dealer in Orlando! This is a new mechanic we're using and he's not impressing me at this point. Now he's saying that the car might not be ready until tomorrow!:X

Quick post from work...
K2 - Since the district didn't want to give additional time off/money, this week we are working our normal 8 hour days...that way Friday is an 8 hour holiday...if we had worked 10 hour days, they would have had to give us Thursday off with 10 hours holiday pay.

PH-Hope the doctor gives you something...especially with your cruise around the corner.:

San-Nice to see you around...When we returned from our cruise, our plane had an oil leak around the engine. We had already boarded, so they had to dis-board us. We had to wait 2 hours for another plane. Scary part, is that plane had just come in from Atlanta...it was flying with that leak.

BB - You've had nothing but problems everytime you take the caddy to a shop...maybe time for new wheels.

I do read the other boards...that Kiko is cockoo! And she seems to think she's the new Dr. on board...doesn't she know that is K2's domain.

BB: That dumb car has been a Lemon from day one. And everytime you guys take it in you say you're going to DUMP it and you don't. Kind of like me and this crazy computer. I keep FEEDING it by getting it fixed instead of letting it DIE and buying a new computer. You need to let the car DIE. I liked the idea of leaving the windows down, the keys in the car and hoping someone would just steal the damn thing. Take it to a bad part of town and park it. Tell the cops someone stole it!! Hee Hee. Just make sure there aren't any cameras around recording all of it! [/size]

Feeling better,but not 100%......doc told me to eat Activa(yogurt) He says it works great.............gatorade,liquids, blah,blah,blah.

And NO,I am not your mystery poster....I just looked to see what you were all talking about it.......check her old posts......she has been on several roll calls so you can tell its not me............think I pulled outta there in time........guess now with me gone,others are posting alot more......so there ya go,you lost one,gain several more.........

Final chapter in the latest caddy saga - We got the car back all fixed at 5! Right after Bert talked to the guy at 4, the motor arrived. We didn't know that, but were stopping at the shop to pick up our transponder for tolls. I was a happy camper. Much rather drive to Ocala in a caddy. Bert's POS Saturn is very uncomfortable. We left the Saturn at the shop and picked it up on our way home after the party.

San - The caddy is a 2004. Talking to some of these guys at the repair shop, we found out that this has been a problem on GM cars for quite a while. They know the motors don't last, but will not do a recall. They replace them on as "as needed" basis, as long as the car is still under warranty. Unfortunately, our car is past that point due to mileage.

The party last night was a lot of fun. Laurie didn't know anyone was going to be there, so it was a complete surprise. Addie is getting so big and was the center of attention all evening. Ron's mom has a huge yellow lab. You should see how Addie plays with that dog and how the dog adores her. It was too cute!

Bert's off to Sam's for items on shopping list #1. I'll go to Publix later for the main stuff. I don't trust him to get everything I want!

I just heard the garage door open, so I guess it's time to put stuff away. Later, gang ...

Glad that you are feeling better PH. It really sucks being so close to a cruise and not knowing if you're going to be feeling well. Matthew says that Activa works well for him [crohns].

PQ, glad that your hours are shorter this week....nice change for you. Did you see that we still have 1,500 fires still burning in NoCal? Some of them they are just letting burn as they don't have the manpower to fight them all. The Big Sur fire has been burning for a long time and still not controlled....Highway One is closed.

[large]You'll all just love this..........I was a DAY EARLY for the Eye Appt. Too funny!! It's on Thursday!! So I got back tomorrow. It was totally my fault. I felt like a brain-dead old broad!! =huh

I ended up going over to Jills to watch the kids so she could go with Mark to the Orthopedic surgeon. He got new meds and will get a pain shot in the back on Tuesday and a MRI tomorrow (Thurs) Goes back to the Dr on July 17th when the Dr comes back from his vacation and has surgery most likely on July 18th!! He has 2 herniated disks and possible fragments. The Dr told him, after looking at the Cat Scan xrays, he understand WHY HE'S in SUCH HORRIBLE PAIN.

Just so you folks don't get the idea you can talk about me TOMORROW because I won't be able to see it's not going to happen. The surgery isn't until the END of NEXT WEEK. And I'll be able to read everything as I walk out of the Drs office so don't try posting bad stuff about me. You've all been warned!! =COOL

Went to the Greek restuarnt tonight to grab something to eat and they had a "NOTICE OF PRICE INCREASES" on the front of the menu. I would have preferred if they hadn't announced it. Everything went up a BUCK except coffee and the Breakfast menu. Some of the stuff just shouldn't have gone up a whole buck. Oh well, I guess with the price of food and gas going up it affects them too. And then in turn affects my POCKETBOOK.

YIKES.........: got some BIG TIME THUNDER and LIGHTNING going on outside right now. It's been raining steady for the last hour. Downtown Detroit is really getting hit hard. And on top of it the Detroit Fest Food tasting started today and runs through Sunday. Feel bad for all the vendors and crafters that set up only to get poured on tonight. The Detroit Symphany is playing tonight at Henry Ford Village and were suppose to have Fire Works. Lots of things being affected by the storm. Bummer.

Thanks for all the talk about food,K2.....yuck........seriously,I am about 90% better but it was Dennis' turn last night.........dont think he was as bad..maybe cuz he forced himself to eat some Activia during the night.........that stuff really helps........anyway,he's outside cutting the grass before it rains and I am catching up on laundry........
