Simple, more time to "lose" the proof you paid it! Our government isn't stupid... ok, won't go there=COOL But they know if they send you a letter the same year they find the "supposed" error you'll still have everything close at hand to prove your filing is correct. MOST people after they file & get their refund or whatever just toss the stuff in a drawer or shoebox & forget about it.
I know you are right about the insurance too. Hartford is already pulling out of Fl. or else not writing new policies I forget. Luckily I have Hartford thru AARP & they said those policies aren't effected.

When we lived in California, we had our own business and 3-4 years after shutting down the business, they decided to audit. Thank goodness, I had most of the stuff. The original bill from the IRS was over 13,000:
, but because I found most of the information requested, I only ended up paying $300. What a pain.
Hope everyone stays safe with this crazy weather. We had a mandatory Tornado drill (statewide school drill) today. Lots of fun.

Paid for our Coastal Cruise [80 days to go]this morning and also got a couple of hundred dollars knocked off the Alaska cruise. I resisted the temptation to use the money to upgrade....I'll save the bucks and maybe get another upgrade for free.....if not, no big deal.

Been trying for quite a while to get on the other board, but the threads won't open. What a pain!!!
Kris picked up the kids a little while ago. There was an accident that had all the roads near here gridlocked. This was one day, PH, where I can definitely say traffic was worse here!
Beautiful day here. Bert BBQed steaks this afternoon and we ate out on the deck before we picked up the kids. Good thing cause now I'm too tired to think about cooking.
I called my TA today too and got a couple hundred dollars off the Alaska cruise. Sure made me a happy camper!
Going to call it quits for the night and relax for a couple of hours. See ya tomorrow.

Paul, hope the points get transferred ok. I applied for the RCL card last week. I've been debating about getting it for a long time but decided to give it a try. 2,500 bonus points with the 1st purchase put's me halfway to some shipboard credit. If I get it in time to pay for my 2 cruises it should put me over the top.

Kasey: If you get that RCL card make sure to charge your new French Door with it. Too bad you didn't have it to charge your new car tires and the other work they're doing on it. It all adds up and will get you more onboard credits.
Had a FACIAL today and it was wonderful. It was on a special and was really worth every cent.

Hi guys!!
Went to the bank today(to get copies of some checks we paid to the IRS--hoping it is for the same tax).anyway,since it was from 2004, they will charge us $25 an hour to search for them!!!!!! Highway robbery.....I did have the check numbers(since I keep all my check registers)so hopefully, it wont take them too long...(ps.it was my old bank so maybe thats why they are charging us..
