Good Morning Gang!!

KC, PH, BB.........how's things going down there in Florida with the Cold Snap?? Did it SNOW like they said it was going to?? Sure hope not.

SAN: How you doing in Watsonville??

WE got a early 7:45 a.m. wake-up by Eric!! But not as early as OSCAR's wake-ups last week!! Thank Goodness.

Okay, I need to get some breakfast and then plan out what Eric and I will be doing today. Papa gets to go play cards with his buddies, so it will be just Eric and myself for awhile.

Have a great day everyone!! OH.....it's 8 degrees and the Sun is peeking out right now!! Brrrrrrr.

No snow flurries last night, didn't even get as cold as they predicted. I covered everything just in case, now I'm just gonna leave'em covered!

K2, have fun with Eric maybe you guys can do some baking or something to help warm up the house.

ph, I agree, that's highway robbery, especially after you already gave them the check #. Hopefully it won't take them long to find them.

Dropped off the puter yesterday, no idea how long it's gonna take for them to look at it. keep your fingers crossed it's a cheap fix.

Good morning. Very foggy out right now.

Got back from Watsonville yesterday evening. Spent most of yesterday with a couple of friends in Gilroy and Morgan Hill. Breakfast, installed a screen door for a lady in a mobile home park. Back to Watsonvillle for dinner and to pick up Nancy.

Good luck with the IRS PH. Same with the computer, Kc.

Tomorrow will begin redoing our front yard....lawn, sprinklers and new shrubs. Alos the driveway is going to be replaced as it is very cracked from tree roots. I decided to have it done for us instead of the boys and me doing it.

Just got a call from the computer place, so much for it being a cheap fix..... they told me the Mother Board was shot. $225 to replace it. At first I said No, I'd look for a new one, but then it would cost another $75 for them to try & transfer some files on top of the $37.50 service charge, might as well let them fix it."May" get it back tonite, if not them monday. Some days it just doesn't pay to get up!

San, sounds like a good idea letting someone else come & do the yard. I'll be K2 for now & tell you, be sure & take pictures!:D

YUP Kasey.........you have me down pat girl....TAKE PICTURES SAN. Good for when and if you sell your house to show to Buyers!!

KC: Once you get that NEW Mother Board in there everything should work again for quite sometime. To get a really nice new computer would cost you anywhere from $900.00 to $1200.00 so I think you made the right decision for now. I see that Garage Sale money disappering fast!! (td)

SAN: Good for you having someone do all that hard work. That's NOT a easy job. Roots need to get hacked up and holes need to get dug. Pain in the SSA job. And the boys haven't got that much time even if they wanted to help you out. Good decision!!

PH: So where HAVEN'T you been today lady!!

Eric is down for a nap. Didn't want to take one, but didn't put up too big of a fuss either, so I think he needed it.

KC..........we DID make cookies earlier. I had some dough leftover from the Valentine cookies so I rolled it out and let him pick out whichever cutters he wanted. We have stars, moons, Easter Eggs and Bunnies. Too funny!

I'm off to lay down while I can too.

Later........

Pictures are a good idea, I'll take some before and after ones.

That's unfortunate about the cost of the computer repair, Kc. It'll be nice to have it working though. Society now almost dictates that you throw a broken computer away instead of fixing it. It's good to repair and keep using.

The guy is coming on Monday to start the yard work. That works better for us anyway, as we have family things going on both Saturday and Sunday. It's Angeline's birthday on Sunday......family will be here for dinner

Home again..............yup, busy day...........

Glad your puter is fixable KC.........now make sure you copy everything just in case!! Do you get a warranty with that work?? Probably like a 60 day one.........

$900-$1200 for a new puter,K2????? Thats alot of money.........mine was five hundred something.........

San-----lucky you...we'd love to get a sprinkler system and new lawn in the front,.......have it in back(did that when we put the pool in).....our fron yard grass is a mixture of all sorts of grass and weeds(hey,as long as they are geeen,I dont care)......we did put some sod plugs in last year and they do spread, but without a sprinkler sysytem, doesnt grow that fast................

We get no rain from May to November, so we all have to have sprinlers, PH....no choice....nothing would grow. Water bill is $150 per month in the summer months.

PH, Dave told us a couple of months ago that he didn't understand using two boards to post messages to the same people.....that's when Marcia left.......so, it's hard for him to think about posting on here.

I use two boards because I have an alter ego.....I behave more on this thread and people don't pick on me so much.

KC - Hope the PC fix works.

One of the options when we were building our house was a well. We took it. After 11 years, it's paid for itself a couple times, even having to replace the pump. We also pay a yearly fee for a company to inspect the system quarterly and fix any broken sprinklers.

Water table is pretty far down here for wells, Paul. San Jose Water Company uses wells to draw water from underground but the have aquifiers to replenish the water.....perculation ponds filled from reservoirs are all over the place to allow water to seep down.

Much of our water comes from the California Delta [Sacramento and San Jouguin Rivers filled from the Sierra Nevada snow pack] and the Central Valley.....pumped up over the mountains and stored in reservoirs. Los Angeles gets a lot of it's water from the California Delta carried down the Central Valley alongside Interstate 5 in aqueducts.....then pumped up over the GrapeVine.

I've NEVER seen "FatherDAve" on here yet. I must just be missing him!! I'll wave anyways........:wave Hee Hee!

Just got through playing "Sorry" with the little guy. He's really been good.
And PH......in Serbian the name they use for Grandma is "Baba"!! So that's what the kids call me. I wanted to be called Grandma, but all my friends at church and choir said.....NO WAY...you are Baba and that's how it went!!

SAN: Quite the education on your water and where it comes from. No wonder it's so expensive!! But our water here is REALLY HIGH too. Might even be higher than yours. We get it from Detroit's water storage and they're planning on a RATE INCREASE again this year. I see lots of YELLOW/BURNING grass at some homes around here. With the high price of gas and then high water bills the first thing people will cut out is watering their grass.

Nite all........Have a fun Sat.

San - Another nice thing about living in Florida. Not too far down to the aquifer.

Interesting how your system works.

Weeki Wachee Springs is a large one. St Pete keeps trying to steal our water, but so far have been unsuccessful.

Afternoon all!! Got a little "reprieve" from Eric until tomorrow. Then I get both Eric and Ashley until Monday around 4:00 pm!

You'll love this one. Eric and I were in bed and I asked him if he wanted Cream of Wheat or Oatmeal for breakfast and he said "Oatmeal Please"!! And the next thing out of his cute little mouth was: "Do you have a TRAY"!! Too funny. Can you tell Jill spoils that kid just a little!! Needless to say he got BREAKFAST IN BED!! :D

Off to see what's going happening on the CC board and then I need to hit the Veggie Store. Also, need some fish for dinner tonight.
