What's that BB??? I thought everyone used Digital these days. So much quicker to delete what you don't want and just print up what you like at one of those machines in the drugstores!! .19 cents a copy over here.

SAN: Glad the grass might get put in today. WHERE are the before pictures??? We need to supv this project from our computers. I bet it looks great. Adds to the SALE value of the house!! Hmmmm???

We're off to the movies for the afternoon. Found a place that still is showing the "THE DEPARTED". I keep telling Art I thought we saw it on the first day it came out, but he keeps saying NO! Oh well, it's something nice to do in the middle of the day.

K2 - We have a digital camera, but Bert only uses it to take pictures for eBay. He still prefers using a regular camera for everything else. What can I tell you?

Finally got around to posting on the other board. It seems to be working better. I hope it stays that way.

Ok, anybody remember the old Tennesse Ernie Ford song 16 Tons?? Remember the line, you load 16 tons & whatta ya get, another Day older & Deeper in Debt.... That's me.. just got done ordering a new computer. Went to the Dell Outlet online & ordered a refurbished one. Total with tax & shipping $401, it had the stuff I was looking for so hopefully in another week or so I'll be back up & running at home. Another 400 points closer to shipboard credit on the RCL card........

Art and & went to see The Departed. I must have gone and saw it by myself when he was on one of those BIKE TRIPS, because as soon as it started I remembered see it before. Art just looked at me and wondered if the "OTHER GUY" paid for my ticket!! I wish!! Hee Hee

Okay.....off to balance the checkbook to the statement! Always fun!!

K2,what it has on it??? Beats me!! It does have windows XP which I wanted instead of Vista. I thought it had MS Office, but now I'm not sure if it does or just a trial version. I have Lotus so I can put that on anyhow. It has a CD/DVD burner which I hope to learn how to use.

Ok, last Sat. I had a "meeting" with a guy from Orange Park. We had ice tea at Steak & Shake on hwy 200. He was on his way to Tampa to visit his mother. (td) He had on one of those "loose" hawaian type shirts with about the top 3 buttons unbuttoned. I saw there for an hour staring at his scrawny little chest, yuk!! Plus he had told me he quit smoking, but found out he hasn't

Tues night met a guy from Ocala at Charlie Horse, we had burgers and lively conversation for an hour & a half. He lives out at Top of the World. Neat dresser, on the slim side and just about my height. he told me he had a good time & wants to meet again(tu) BUT I know how that goes so we'll see. I definately will go out with him again if he asked.

Guy # 3 also lives in Ocala, I am meeting him after church on Sunday for lunch. He "said" he goes to the Baptist church just down the road from mine. We'll see, his picture isn't to good & he's a little on the chubby side, but since I'm no beauty queen myself looks aren't "that" important. I'd rather have a guy with a nice personality than some pretty boy!

Sooo, that's the scoop on the dates, nothing exciting after all.

Kasey: What do you mean NOTHING EXCITING!! That was fantastic! You ROCK GIRL!! That's the way to do it. Line up 3 at a time and get out there and check them out!! You'll know when one of them clicks!! Dump the "hairy chest guy".....that sounded gross!! (td)

The computer sounds like it has a lot on it. It'll be fun to turn it on and click the START button and see just what it has loaded on it. Bet you can't wait to get it. We ALL really do miss you on the threads.

Morning! Happy March! Yippy ... Winter is almost over!!!

Gonna be busy, busy, busy around here today ... Shampoo rugs, laundry, cleaning bathrooms (YUCK - I hate that job!) and trying to figure out what to cook for the company on Sunday. Also have to decide what to wear to the party in Gainesville tomorrow night. I'm not sure what wear your best Caribbean outfit means=huh Bert's got his clothes figured out and that has to be a first. He's wearing a tropical print shirt, shorts and a straw hat. Missy suggested he go to one of those mall stores that sell magnetic earrings. She also wanted to loan him Jimmy's hat with dreadlocks!! That would have shocked the h*ll out of his former co-workers and proved that he finally has lost his mind!!

San - Sounds like the landscaping job came together nicely. Can't wait to see a picture of it. By the way, you mentioned gorilla something or other on the other board. What's that? I've never heard of it before. Also, what's a boulevard tree? We just have trees that aren't fussy where you plant them!:lol

KC - Hope you hear from Guy #2 soon. He sounded very nice. Now bring on #3. This is like our own little reality show!!! After you meet #3, the phones will open for 1 hour and everyone can vote up to 10 times ($.99 per call!) for their favorite "KC Main Squeeze". One with least number of votes gets booted out and is handed a road map to head out of town! I might be on to something here!!!!!!!D

PH - Enjoy you visit and lunch with Matt, Lauren, and what's his name. I was thinking only yesterday that you hadn't mentioned Matt in quite a while and I was planning to ask you how he's doing.

Those of you with crappy weather today, be careful if you're out and about. Time to get a move on here or I'll never get dinished!

KC - I didn't like the cleaning lady I had. She didn't do that much (basically bathrooms and floors), forgot to do things and just plain wasn't worth what she was charging. Last time she was here, she didn't even step in the computer room, much less dust and vacuum it. Her cell phone must have rang at least 10 times with calls from her daughter. It got very annoying. She was only here for 3 hours and charged $80.! After she left, I had to go back and clean the stuff she missed. She was in too much of a hurry to get to another job. I'm still looking for someone else, but haven't found a good reliable one yet. Thus, it's back to cleaning myself!:X

Time to get back to work!

Good morning. I'm in Gilroy standing by A&A's house while contractors work on replacing some windows. I'll be back down here for more contractors tomorrow to allow A&A to go to work.

The rains have stopped for a while.

That second guy sounded promising for you, Kc.....I hope it continues to work out.

PH, I hope you had a nice visit with Matt before he heads back to Portland. That's quite a drive he has ahead of him.

Gorilla hair is shredded redwood wood and bark that is used for ground cover in flower beds, BB. By boulevard tree I mean the tree that is planted between the sidewalk and the street in front of our house.....guess it's really a Calle de Farrar tree.

Ruttie - The one I had did not do laundry, did not clean front of kitchen appliances, would not change sheets and wouldn't even clean fingerprints off sliding door (that's a door wall to you, K2). She wanted another $85. to do windows! She also wouldn't use the cleaner on the hardwood floors. I could go on and on!!

It looks like the rains are getting ready to move in soon. Plus it's very windy.

San - Thanks for the explainations. You call it gorilla hair. We call it mulch. We also don't have names for our trees between the sidewalk and street. We just call them trees!!!:girly

Bert had to take the rug shampooer back. It wasn't working very well. It didn't pump out the cleaner like it's supposed to and we were wasting our time. Hopefully, he's just walking in with a new one!

Ruttie - Can't help with Costa. Heard both OK and bad about them.
Check on the Florida thread, I think someone there has been on Costa.

Looks like the D+ lady came thru for our Navigator cruise. WE have 33 linked together for main dining and she said we are on deck 4 at 418, 419, 420 and 421.

If anyone gets rain, send it over here, too.

It's been RAINING since about 10 A.M. this morning NON STOP!! Some of the subdivision streets are flooded!! The CREEK is coming UP and the DUCKS love it!! Good for them. As long as it doesn't FREEZE tonight we'll be okay, otherwise it'll all be like a ICE SKATING RINK around here.

Marcia: Where have you been. You usually come on here more often??

BB: That's why I don't have a cleaning lady. Everytime you get one you can't train them to do it the way YOU WOULD. Now with Artie home we do it together!! Well.....at least until he starts biking season again.

BB......we call that stuff MULCH up here too. Never heard it called Gorilla Hair!! : I know even the PINE NEEDLE STuff they use down South is called Pine Needle MULCH!!

RUTTIE: FOR GOD'S SAKE STAY HOME AND REST. Come on now.......stop over doing it kiddo.

KASEY: I think we need PICTURES of these guys if we're going to be paying to call in our VOTES for the right one!! hone


Hope that PH is having a nice lunch with the "EX" and the kids before Matt starts his drive across the USA to get back to Portland, OR!! WOW......sure don't envy him!! But he's young and will most likely have the music up LOUD and just drive until he drops. Wishing him a SAFE TRIP!!

Well BB, if you must know, we call our boulevard tree Bob....it used to be called Robert, but we had it trimmed so it looks less formal. Bob's pretty bare right now.

We have mulch too.....the Gorilla Hair is red, very stringy....well, it looks a little like Gorilla hair

Yea sure, Ruttie....you can come out of the closet now and admit you're interested in Costa......."asking for a friend" ...yea right, I don't believe it.

Matt's road trip sounds exciting to me....guess I'm the only real road tripper on here.

Hi all..me reporting in to my internet family..............

Had a nice time today.........met up with Matt,Lauren and Michael at Ruby Tuesdays.....(no salad bar today--refrigeration was off at it)....anyway, had a nice visit with everyone(we all get along,even Michael-he is a very nice guy)............then Matt,Dennis and I went to the bank to do stuff for the title......while Michael and Lauren came back to the house so he could look over the car(hes a master tech for mercedes)....said the car was in great shape(which relieved me).....

We loaded up the car(Lauren made her brother sandwiches(using the whole loaf)...........and eventually they all took off..........
I did offer to ride with him and fly home but he didnt think I would care to listen to Howard Stern the whole way(he put Sirius in the car)................he has no problem with that long drive ahead....this will his third time..........of course,I'll worry the whole time...............hes taking the southern route........will drive to the stateline tonite(about 6 hrs) before he sleeps a bit.....

Anyway, heres some pics......

San - Red stuff we put around plants is called red cypress mulch here in the deep south! Say hi to Bob for me. Nice that you have names for your tree. We don't get that intimate with ours!

Ruttie - Only one I ever knew who went on Costa was our old TA up in Dunnellon. They did a group cruise and said never again. Beyond that, she wouldn't say anything more then to say that none of the crew spoke English. Who knows ... that may have changed by now.

Time to fix dinner and then head out dor the store. Have a good night, gang. I doubt that I'll get a chance to stop back tonight, but I might surprise you!!
