Hi ya'll! First chance I've had to check in today. Rain moved in bright and early today (9AM) and kept up for hours. Perfect day to curl up with Harry Potter. Finally finished it around 2 o'clock. Aside from Negc, did anyone else read it? I thought it was great! Scary part is that way back in my teaching days, it was a second grader in my class who got me reading the books.

San - Can't believe you were such a dumb SSA to hurt your back again! What are you doing ... sitting on your brains or something? :cool: We all holler at Ruttie, so you had to know you'd catch h*ll from the rest of us.
Hope you had fun in Watsonville. Teach Joseph any new things to drive his parents crazy?

PH - You better keep those shorts and bathing suit handy. They're calling for 95-96 for this weekend! Good part is that the rain is finally going to become more seasonal, instead of the rains coming through at all hours of the day and night.

K2 - Is it true that, if you feed Art too many blueberries, he will turn into Papa Smurf?:)D

On that note I better hit the road. Missy made a turkey for dinner and I have to make the gravy. What is with these kids???? Cooks they are NOT!:chef

Nice to see you BB......its been very unusual with the rain all day and night....its been so dreary.......

I read the first couple of Harry Potters then when they got really long,I lost interest........glad you enjoyed it though....

Do you realize 3 weeks from now we'll be eating dinner on the high seas???

It's almost 10:00 a.m. and it's STILL HOT outside. It's a NICE HOT tonight.........not as much humidity.

Hard to believe you all in Florida are getting sooo much RAIN. Good for keeping the Fires down and the Everglades from burning!!::eek:

After I got out of the "POOL" today and got cleaned up Art and I went and got a bite to eat and went to the SHOW!! We saw NO RESERVATION with Catherine-Zita JOnes. Great movie. Easy going and good to watch. I'd recommend it!!

SAN: Hope you had a good time with Joseph and got to see your new house again too. PICTURES....we DEMAND PICTURES. Have the Angeline take them and post them for you.

Got back from Missy's a little while ago. Dinner was delicious ... turkey with all the fixings. We ate like pigs! I'm still so stuffed.

PH - Yeah, I know what we'll be doing 3 weeks from now... Enjoying the CL with Julian! I am so ready for a cruise. It feels like ages since the last one. I'm ready to hit the high seas again! Speaking of cruises, did you see where one of the Carnival ships made a not too gentle docking in New York? Someone must have goofed on the the coordinates entered into the GPS. Passengers got a bit of a rough ride at docking!

I am so tired tonight. Guess it has a lot to do with all that turkey. I think I'm going to call it a night soon and go watch TV in bed.

I did see about that Carnival ship......can you believe that???

So it was a good movie K2?? We keep saying we're going to the movies.havent been in awhile...

Just watched the Voyager show(in the Med)....recorded it for Dennis.......

Im also hitting the hay and put the tv on.........

ok i am officially jea;ous that in 3 weeks some will be on a cruise and i will be at work!!! Oh well I know you will enjoy it for me...
I sent you guys a pic of my new lamp i have been looking for over a year for the rigth lamp to go behind my sofa not sure if i will like it but it fist my check list: 2 bulnd, 2 pull chains, a neutral, and I got it at target for only 39.00 my mohter in law gave me a budget of $300 I mean who buys a $300 lamp????!!!
I cannot sleep and i canceled my housekeepr yesterday (thursday) becasue this no pay check for 3 weeks is gonna kill us it already has me ina world of hurt becasue i refuse to pay for my pain meds way too much money.. so anyway I got up and ceaned teh entire house.. I even mopped the floors and cleaned teh tv screens and tiolets!!!! (not with teh same clothe!!:) any way i will wake up to a clean house.... this sunday we are celebrating my b day early with teh family we are gonna go to AShleys it is an old haunted train station converted to a retsraunt/pub it is one of my fav places to go... especially if a train goes by and you here teh ghosts howl!!!! well I am gonna give it another try woth sleep..
any of you florida gals wantto earna few bucks I need a sitter for the forst 3 days of school the 13th - 15th mom who usually does it is gonna be on a trip with my dad.. you can even at their house it will be empty... or k2 maybe you want a nice relaxing trip to florida for a few days,..... the house will be empty for a week you and you hubbie could use it if you wtch teh boys for a few hrs while i went to work.....
just kidding well sordove:) anyway TGIF

PH.....the Voyager show on TV was good last night. I really would love to do that cruise one day. I so want to walk those narrow side-streets in those villages.

That Carnival ship "BUMP" must have scared the crap out of some of the passengers just hanging over the railings watching the ship docking. Somebody should get fired over something like that. It just shouldn't happen in this day and age.

I see on the Weather Map that FLORIDA is still all GREEN! That means RAIN. How's it doing by you Florida gals??

It's suppose to be another 95+ day here. It was 86 degrees last night after MIDNIGHT!! UNREAL!!

Later folks.......got a few errands to do today and then I'm staying inside......or at least close to the "POOL"! It's so nice to be a POOL OWNER when it's this hot!! Hee Hee :D

Ph, hey at least you lost 3lbs.. I've been trying for 2 weeks & nothing!! I even started doing exercises during TV commercials.. and I've been drinking so much water I think I slosh when I walk!

BB, mmmm, now I'm thinking a turkey breast for Sunday dinner would be really good! Especially to have leftovers for sandwiches later!

san, hope you had a nice trip to W and the house is to your satisfaction....pictures would be verrrrry nice!

I didn't like the way the EARRINGS turned out so I'm doing them over right now. What a pain......but they are turning out much better!! I think I need to get a new hole above the current hole in my earlobe so the wire earrings don't HANG so much. Really the pits when your earlobes start DROOPING!! :help

SAN......don't even think of going there........ya hear!!

Back to work ......gotta get these done so I can get out to the "POOL"!!

Good afternoon and happy Friday to you all! I hope everyone has lots of plans for the weekend. We all know K2 does. We're going to an oldies concert tomorrow night. No named entertainers, but think Vegas review. There's something like 120 people in the cast. This is the second of about 5 concerts this company is doing in this area. Thought we'd give them a try. Besides, tickets are less then $50 for good seats (row 8). I'll let you know what I thought of the show after tomorrow night.

K2 - So you're planning to get another hole in your head? Don't you have enough already? Ya gotta watch out for brain leakage, ya know! You need to hold on to all you have [size=x-small]left[/size]! That's payback for those rumors you and San started a few weeks ago when I was missing!!!:)P) JK of course! Good luck with making those earrings. Now which holes are you planning to put them in?:)D

PH - Hair's looking good, girl friend! Isn't it amazing what a haircut and some highlights can do for your mood? Will Dennis be home this weekend to appreciate the new and improved you?

Hi San!:wave How was Watsonville? Have you been over to the new house in the past few days? How's the back doing?

Looks like our weather is a bit dryer today. The past few days were the pits! Only problem is that the temps are on their way up up up into the mid to upper 90s.

All the rain we had has definitely triggered my allergies. Guess it's the mold & mildew outside that's doing it. My eyes are watering, nose keeps running and I've got that scratchy tickle in my throat. That is the one thing I hate about this time of the year and it will probably last for weeks! UGH!!!

Time to go find something for lunch.

Home again.........

I think my hair came out good..........I am quite pleased with my new stylist.....glad I gave her a try.......

Then went to Sams.........bought the heaviest stuff I could....(why did I do this when I was alone??).......bought bottled water, laundry detergent and fabric softener........the buggy was so heavy,it was hard to push.......

Then off to Publix.had a craving for a sub for lunch....

Ruttie--------you need to stop doing all those things.......I am really concerned you're gonna hurt yourself......then whos going to watch the boys (for longer than a few days)??? I know what you mean about meds,but dont you really need them???

KC----You dont have 3 pounds to lose....how come the skinny ones want to lose weight??

K2--nothing like a refreshing Mojito.....I got that one from here(Im pretty sure I gave you this link before) PICS


BB-sounds like a fun weekend for you.........Dennis should be home tomorrow.........and I dont think he has to leave till Monday.....which leaves us one whole day(Sunday).....maybe go to SeaWorld for a bit.havent been in ages and Lauren gets 4 annual passes to use(gave us 2 and her dad and his g/f 2)....she also gets about 12 day passes to use for there or Busch Gardens....


Anyone been in a Ruby Tuesday lately?? We ate at ours yesterday and they have remodeled..........very nice.......

And it looks like Sonic is open........whole new style there too.....all brick...

Ph, trust me, I have MORE than 3 pounds to loose!! Nothing fits anymore! Maybe the exercise will help, but you know how I feel about exercising...yuk!!

BB, sorry the allergies are getting to you, good thing you have a cruise coming up in a few weeks....maybe you should stay onboard for an extra run...just for "medical" purposes of course!!
Don't forget to tell Jullian I said Hi!! I might need to schedule another enchantment cruise before it leaves just to say Hi myself!

K2, hope you get the earrings the way you want them...I got a bead catalog in the mail the other day, they sure had some pretty beads in there. I might start doing that again....

Good afternoon.

I have been working around the house today, getting it ready for going on the market on the fifteenth. Not too much more to do. The vanity tops should be done by the end of next week, then I can shampoo the carpets. It really feels strange to have the "coming soon" sign out the front after so many years here.

Back seems to be getting a little better....I am trying not to lift anything.....but it's hard.

Most of the electrical is now completed on the new house and the siding is installed. We have a walk through on Wednesday, which then means that they can install the sheetrock. We're still able to sneak in there after work hours, but pretty soon they will start locking the doors.

Only in the low eighties here.......cooler than normal for the next week.

Matthew, Patti and Joseph went up to Fort Bragg for the weekend......going to ride the train into the Redwoods.....the train is called the Skunk....four hour trip. Don't know if you went through Fort Bragg K2.....it's on California 1 north of San Francisco.....on the Coast.....very pretty scenery.

KC----I absolutely hate exercising too......sometimes I think......why bother?? Learn to love my body for what it is!:p

I don't know why, but I'm loving it.

I think the reason for the coming soon sign is to see if it can be sold prior to going to multiple listing.....saves me a little commission.

Hi GANG! Just got back from the Township Rec Center/Pool. Didn't go in the water just was there so Jill and her gang could use the facilities. The kids had a blast.

SAN: You know for about $100 buck-a-roo's you could get a carpet company to come into the house and do those damn carpets. It's not the kind of thing you really want to do with a BAD BACK. Geez...you and Ruttie should team up together and share notes on WHAT TO DO TO KILL YOURSELF EARLY IN LIFE!! You're both made out of the same mold.

I too have NEVER heard of a Pre-Moving sign saying CoMING SOON. Sounds like a ad for a new MOVIE coming up!! :lol
You could have saved a LOT of Commission money by selling it BY OWNER and having the bank close for you.

We did go through Fort Bragg when we were driving through Calf. All of CALIFORNIA was nice to me. Just love those mountains!!

The earrings came out great. I'm off to finish the bracelet and then get to bed early. Don't want BLACK CIRCLES under my eyes tomorrow.

Kasey: I wish I was as FAT as you are! Hee Hee.....that would be great for me!!

It's still going to be HOT and around 87, but that's like a chill factor after this last week. I'm sure my Godchild is thrilled he's going to have such a lovely day.

SAN: You better do the same as the above. Take it easy and what your back. Buy one of those support belts and wear when you're doing ANYTHING put sitting.
