San, I can't comprehend why the system would allow a jailbird to get custody of a baby in the 1st place. "His family" probably wants him for the welfare money they can get. okay talk about losing your mind or someone.. the other day at work I walked out side after school to my car with a parent who was going to deliver a whole car load of stuff we donated to a famliy who came form new orleans and enrolle din our school They had 2 boys my boys age so i went shopping at OUR home shopping club (our house) and fille up the enitre bacl of my truck with clothes toys books etc for them.. any way after we loaded it up I got in my car and headed home....... about a mile down the road my cell phone rings and one of my coworkers says "patti ae you coming back" and i was like nope i am gone for the day and she was liek well i think you forgot something..... and i was like no i don;lt think so.... it was then that she informed me i had forgotten my OWN KIDS!!!!!!! Ughhhh how horrid did i feel!!! my only excuse is that it was pouring down rain, windy,etc..

That's the way the system works, GM...apparently the guy's family wants the baby....he's Hispanic and they apparently seldom give up children for adoption. I think this one will be the last one that they foster care in hopes of adopting. They're going to go another route. We can give this one a good head start though......I have some things to teach him before he goes back....like how to stir the pot

I am sorry that it is not gonna work out with the wee little one San, I have some friends (actually 2 different ones) who have adoptive succesfully from the Ukraine.. DId i mention that Richrad was adopted? We have always said that it was no big deal that i had to have a hysterectomy so young becasue we always said we swould adopt, but now that I have my 2 boys and they are a bit older (well out of diapers anyway) i think maybe 2 will be enough who cares if i dont; have a girl.. maybe someday i will be ready... good luck for your son and daughter on thier journey.

They were thinking of the Ukraine, Ruttie....mentioned it a couple of weeks ago. Matthew's sister's [our daughter] husband is also adopted.....adopted guys aren't too bad, are they?....wouldn't want to marry one though.

Ok san, how shall I tell my Dad to pack for his trip to your place?? Since he can't stay by himself & you think it's "unmanly" to be at a baby shower for his only great grandchild, the only alternative I know of is it pack him off to you for the weekend. Then again, I'm not sure that's a good idea either, he'd probably come home wanting one of those ATV's you drive or a vette!!! Sorry I'm to old to have a Dad with a Mid-life crisis, guess he'll just have to suffer thru the shower!

HI All,
Busy day over here at the Anderson's. I want you ALL to know that I DUG up all the Michigan CLAY in this one area that we've been redoing ALL BY MYSELF today!! What a job. I should take a picture tomorrow morning of the PILE OF CLAY to show you all. ( I just wrote myself a NOTE to do just that)
Then I went to Meijer and bought bags of Top Soil. Couldn't fit enough in my Zoom Zoom because they weigh too much so I called ART to get some in his truck on the way home!!
Planted the mums and they look nice. THE JOB IS TOTALLY DONE!! FINALLY!! Looks good too.
Went to the good bye party and then over to see the Grandkids!!
I've been watching the re-enactment of 9/11 and had to get away from it. Just too much tragedy these past few weeks. I know I'm a wimp, but it's got the best of me lately. I don't want to get anymore depressed. I've been crying on and off about my friend leaving on Tuesday. Tomorrow I go over to dig out a plant from her yard and say good-bye ........yet again!! We'll both be a mess I'm sure!!
SAN: We have couples in our church who adopted from Romania. Both of the couples got TWINS. They were very undernurished when they got here, but they're just fine now. And on the HONOR ROLL every year. Good luck to them. JIll's college roommate adopted from Vietnam and another Asian place?? Then after trying for 10yrs to have their own child they found out she was pregnant and she had a girl. Funny how things work out like that. So now they have a small United Nations.

Hi all. I just wanted to let you all know that we are home safe and sound. We got home yesterday at dinner time. Drive was fine....no troubles. Girls....and us adults.....loved DL. I will post more tomorrow....I have to go and get a few groceries for the kids for school lunches. Back to the grindstone.....

tried to get on CC but could not I am sooooo bored I am showing a video today and so i have 7 classes that need to see it so I have seen the same video over and over and over ......SAN... think you and i will have to just agree to disagree about the "W" stuff as I am a firm beliver in supporting our big man... and that many of the problems thaty occured in New Orleans could have been prevented with proper planning EVERYONE knew that someday the city would flood I don't know i just kinda think that it is up to the mayor to ensure that his city had adequete resources... and all that stuff bickering finger pointung is pointless cause it is after the fact.. now we need to move on and make it so it does not happen again. I try not to get started on our views of society I think it is going down hill fast and people need to stop blaming others and start doing something about it fo rthemselves..... Okay gotta run sorry to rant and run but the video is over...

Cayman - San is my OLDER brother. When our parents took their first look at him after he was born, they thought he was the funniest looking baby they had ever seen. They gave him away to a tribe of not-so-honorable wanderers who made their living lying and ripping people off. Only recently did I discover he existed ... He gave me this cock and bull story and tried to borrow money from me! As everyone else who posts here will tell you, he's always making up stories. It's hard to know when he's telling the truth and when he's not.
I've forgiven him. After all he's family. But you do have to take what he says with a grain of salt!! LOL Now me, on the other hand, always tells the truth.
