Good Morning Hello GIF by Mauro Gatti
It’s a FANTASTIC WEDNESDAY MORNING because our
DAVE is back with us! You were missed buddy!
Bummer on burning the coffee. Yuk.
What’s with the “Pee Pee” issues, if you feel like sharing. And do you use a Bi-pack or C-pack for your breathing at home at night? Just wondering out loud.
Art’s head (ache) g t much better by the afternoon. Tylenol did the trick! He’s on a strong Antibiotic for 10 days! Thanks for asking folks.

Karen: What’s on your LIST of things to do today besides going to church?
Mike: Amazing how many trips to doctors offices this group of ours does in a months time. Sure pays to have good insurance plans.
Lee: It’s amazing how much you have to get in order for your Winter Break vacation. Insurance is the most important and worth the cost for sure.
I see somebody has posted while I’ve been on here. Need to close this and see who it was.

HAVE A SAFE AND GOOD DAY HUTCH-MATES!

GREAT PICS KAREN. THAT LOOKS LIKE A LOT OF WORK!
Enjoy your coffee.
I added EggNog in my coffee this morning. Yum!

Costco Gas today: $2.72 a US Gallon

Kroger Gas today: $3.25 a US Gallon

CRAZY!

Went to Costco to see if EGGS were any cheaper. Yup......$2.70 a dozen. Kroger $4.00 a doz.

Okay, that's if for today's COST Index Report~ :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Bah Humbug. Oh, look. Christmas lights!
Nice pics Karen. :) What in the name of Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus did people do before inflatable decorations? How was your coffee?
As our dollar drops against the US dollar Kathie even folks who were crossing the border to shop for groceries are giving it a second thought. $100CDN is only worth $69.70USD right now. Add $22.00 to cross the bridge and back and why bother? Our gas is about $3.37 for a US gallon. After converting litres to US gallons and CDN dollars to US dollars.
It’ll all be so much easier when Canada becomes a state. Don’t bet on that happening. Think 1812. It wasn’t our White House the Canadians burned down…Just sayin’.
My Christmas gifts for the guys arrived today. Now I have to wrap them. Right after I finish my coffee and head down to the treadmill.
Have a wonderful rest of the day!

Dave. I love your brilliant idea of the paint. Just think, Kc will become a loved billionair and she will share her new found fortune with you and you in return will share it with us. I read about the astronauts, doesn't frump want to do away with overtime????4000 CCs, that is a lot of beer.
Lee, 1812 , or the war of 1812, by Tchaikovsky, wrong war. I think fr;ump has it wrong, maybe we should become a province or territory of Canada. Do you think Canada would take us? Did you get the gifts wrap and have your coffee.
The last time I wrapped a gift was many years ago. I was very carefully wrapping Fay's gift and when I finished wrapping the gift I proudly showed it to my daugter, she said Dad, you aren't going to give that wrapped like that to Mom are you. ?
Thanks for the pictures Kc, somebody put a lot of effort into the decorationsK
K2, we have to keep our Dr,s living in the style they are accustomed to.

Let's see here.......Next week at this time, people will be lining up at the return-counter of every store. And Kwanzaa begins. I have nothing against Kwanzaa, but I've never really understood what it is.

Then in another week it'll be a new year.

This may be a good time to stock up on provisions, and head to the bunker in the basement.

Liked your Christmas light pictures, KC. Mostly because I can enjoy how pretty they are, and not have to put them up or take them down.

I've gotta admit Lee, I've NEVER had a Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich. Heck, I've never even heard of them. Nor have I ever heard of a Chuck's Roadhouse. You're so experienced on your winter trips down south to know to only take half of what you plan on packing.

K2; As far as my pee-pee issues, I have no clue why I haven't been able to start taking a leak on my own once they took out the catheter. Probably related to my enlarged prostrate. Most guys as they grow older develop an enlarged prostate which effects them to some degree. And no, I don't use a bi-pack or C-pack. Happy to hear that Art's headache is being eased.

Morning Mike! Are you as ready as me to put these holidays in the rear-view mirror? "frump" having something wrong??? How can that possible be?.......Hell, he's the leader of the cult. :)

And so begins another day in a small Ontario town.
Dave, you might want to look up answers in an urology book authored by I. P. Standing. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
Real Montreal Smoked Meat is thinly sliced, seasoned brisket. In a true deli you can order lean or with a little fat. Always stacked high on rye bread with a little mustard and slice of dill pickle on the side.
Yes, people marvel at how very little you NEED to take for 8 1/2 weeks away. Heck, we used to have more stuff for the dogs when we had the three Greys!
I see a trip to the vet to pick up Ava’s food and a trip to the pharmacy to pick up our meds in the cards today.
And a check back later to make sure you’re all doing well.
Have a great Thursday everyone.

Good Thurs morning Wrabbits!
I lost a nice post. Bummer.
Dave thanks for the medical info. Hope things get better soon!
If this LINK works …it’s our Choir singing a Xmas carol.
We made a recording years ago and it’s on YouTube. A lot of those beautiful voices are no longer with us. :(

Art is going to an Ugly Sweater Xmas get together at the Assisted Living place his buddy Rick is in. Should be a nice crowd of bikers there.
I’ll be back later. Hope the LINK works! Skip over the advertisement.

That, along with the songs beside it on YouTube were beautiful Kathie. We will have to listen to the rest later on. I went to school with a girl whose parents owned Bell’s Red and White grocery store. Her name was Carol. Yep, we called her Carol of The Bells. Oh come on now, you all saw that coming. Her parents really did own the grocery store.
Hope Art has a great time at The Ugly Sweater Party. Is there a prize for the ugliest sweater?
After we walked Ava at The Navy Yard we went to the vet, the pharmacy and the gas station. Total spent without leaving town…$650.00 give or take a buck or two. Sheesh!!
To answer your question Mike, I’m about to wrap the guys’ presents and run Jim’s over to him. Jim and Gail are going to Cleveland for Christmas. I’ll give Dave and Doug theirs on Christmas Day when they all come here for dinner.
And once again, I’m off.

Good afternoon!

Dave, not sure how much money I would make from my slinging paint pictures, but it might be a good way to guarantee I didn't get paint on the floor cause usually when you "want" to do something creative like that everything stays where it's supposed to.

Kathie, you sure have a beautiful sounding choir! The carol of the bells song was always a favorite of mine too. When my friend Colleen was ordained as Deacon last month the church she did her in service training sent their Handbell choir to perform at her service, wow, were they ever talented!

Lee, I'd wager a guess the biggest part of that $650 was for Ava's food? Amazing how much we are willing to sacrifice & spend so our pets can have a long & healthy life!

Mike, I keep forgetting to tell you the notice about allowing push notifications is showing up at the bottom of my screen too!

Dermatologist appt this morning & of course she saw a spot she thought was "interesting", she did give me the option of having it tested or just watching it, but since I have had several that were cancerous I had her go ahead & scrape it. I'll find out in a week or so if it was anything or not.
Had a nice time yesterday afternoon visiting a few more of our Parish shut ins, we went out for breakfast after church first & Rev. Lisa bought our meals for us. I thought that was very nice of her!
I packed up cookie bags to take to choir tonight, don't think I will do that again, several of the cookies had icing or glaze on them & I'm afraid they will end up sticking together. I put wax paper between the layers but the cookies seemed to want t shift around in the little bag. Next year I think I will just make a snack mix to hand out instead.
Other than that nothing going on around here, I have the next 2 days to stay home & do nothing, gifts are all wrapped & cookies are all baked. I'll tidy up the house Monday or Tues. but with the pets, family & friends I'm not going to go crazy cleaning, that will happen after everyone is gone.

It's our MARK's Birthday today. We'll be going over there for Pizza and Cake later.

Glad you folks liked the Choir carols. Like I said that was years ago and we had so many more voices that we don't have now.

Karen: I always am amazed at the Bell Ringer groups. I know I'd be the one that didn't ring the bell at the right time!
GIF by European Commission

Cookies w/frosting are a pain in the butt to keep from sticking.
Nice you got to make the rounds to the shut-in's.

Lee: Yikes that was a expensive morning you had! But we all do what we have to for our fur buddies.

I've managed to wash all the bathroom rugs.
Washed the showers & floors and of course the toilets.
I totally feel like the "hired cleaning lady today"!

Out of here to put away my cleaning supplies.

Funny story.

while cleaning I put 3 eggs in a saucepot to boil to make egg salad sandwiches to orrow.
Well, I FORGOT to set a alarm and after I smelled something way back in the bedroom area I ”casually” walked into the kitchen and saw EGG SHELLS AND YOLKS that had exploded ALL OVER the store and side of the counter!
Not too big of a clean up since everything was VERY HARD BOILED!
Smell isn’t too bad, but it will take awhile to filter out of the house!
Moral to this story is SET THE ALARM IF YOU’RE NOT GOING TO BE AROUND TO WATCH THE POT! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme: :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Kathie, at the price of eggs these days I'd be more upset about the loss of the eggs than the smell. They are $3.96 a doz. here at Aldi our discount store, Walmart is over $4 a doz. just crazy!

My gosh Kathie. Thank heavens the smell was the worst thing that happened! Have you asked Santa for a new pot? Couldn’t tell you the price of eggs here. It’s the old thing. If we need them we buy them. You’ve sure had a busy cleaning day. Enjoy Mark’s birthday celebration.
I sure do hope that you do indeed have a couple of quiet days ahead Karen. Reverend Lisa seems to show her appreciation to those who do so much for the church. You were spot on about where we spent the most. Ava’s contribution to our vet’s practice was $534.93.
Not much else going on. It’s supposed to get cold for a couple of days. Not happy about that.
G’night folks.

Just drove home at a high speed of 25-35 mph most of the way from Jill's.
IT SNOWED a tad while we were having our pizza and cake/ice cream. The NERVE of Mother Nature!
Everyone was behaving on the roads. On the WEST side of town folks were slipping and not able to get UP the off ramps of the freeway. Sure glad we took the surface streets all the way home. Had to back track about 5 mins at first because I forgot my PHONE. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Karen, trust me the thought of how much money EGGS are and that I blew up 3 of them did cross my mind. Glad I got my baking out of the way when Eggs were still cheaper.

I'm off of here to get myself a glass of WINE. I need to unwind from my crazy drive home.

And YES LEE.... I am going to get a new POT! Thank goodness that was an old pot to begin with.

BE SAFE FOLKS .... it's that CRAZY TIME of the year on the roads.

Dave, look up I P Freely also. You might get a tricle out of it. I don't mind the holidays Dave, but they are in a way hazzles for Fay.
Kathie Fay told me to tell you, welcome to t he club. I enjoyed your choir. Did you forget a rug????Cheer up, it could have been sour kraut.
Karen, I hope that interesting little spot is not cancer and if it is I hope i has all been scraped off. I do believe your snack mix is a good idea, Lee, you Montreal Smoked Meat sandwhich sounds a little like a Rueben Sandwich. I haven't started to listen to my favorite Christmas songs yet, I think I will listen to at least one. Charlotte Church singing Little Drummer Boy

This is going to be one of those weird days. When I woke up a little while ago, I was totally convinced that I was waking up from an afternoon nap. And that it was 5 PM and not 5 AM.

I don't know how they do it, but Amazon keeps on doing it even at this time of the year. I ordered some Ensure Protein Drink in the afternoon. Free shipping. And it shows up the very next day. Their delivery people have got to be running their tails off.

After your egg story and picture K2, I guess the "yolk" is on you. :)

Lee; How few businesses include a dill pickle with their sandwiches, anymore. Even IHOP has stopped doing it.

Speaking of ugly or pretty Christmas sweater/shirts.......I don't own a single one of them. Although Kathi has a whole bunch. And even won the Ugly Christmas Sweater contest at work one year.

Good call KC on just getting that questionable spot on your skin checked out now, rather than just keeping an eye on it.

Sounds like you wrap packages about as good as I do, Mike. At a check-up at the family doctor's yesterday, she said that her husband is VERY picky on how presents should be wrapped. So he only allows his wife to put name cards on the packages. As you can imagine, she LOVES his picky-ness.

Nothing much planned for today.

Well a very Good Friday morning everyone…
Who’s that? Oh, mornin’ Dave. I was wondering where you were this morning. :) I do love to wrap presents. I just think it’s so much nicer than whacking something in a gift bag with tissue paper. Ya, I know. Gift bags can be used over and wrapping paper goes in the garbage. Unless you recycle it bunnies! Amazon has one of the most amazing distribution and delivery systems out there. They sure do set the standard.
Yes, Mike, I do think that a smoked meat sandwich is a cousin of The Reuben. Charlotte Church does indeed have a beautiful voice. Here you go my friend…

Good that you made it home safe and sound Kathie. I bet there will be a scramble for winter tires in your area today. What’s not to like about pizza, cake and ice cream?
What’s up in beautiful Bellview today Karen
Our out of country travel insurance showed up in our email this morning. I was going to call this morning but now, seeing it, I remember locking in the rate with Mary when we renewed our extra health insurance back in May. Add another $804 to what we’ve spent this week to go away for 8 weeks. Oh well, ya gotta have the insurance.
Time for a coffee. Can I get one for anyone else?
Have a safe and wonderful day.

Doing a good job right now coming down! And I'm off to Kohl's. Got a list from Eric for a Sweatshirt Hoodie and Jeans. How hard can that be to buy! Ha ha.
Funeral Home visit for a 90 yr old that has known me all my life and was Godfather to my late brothers kids. He was also his best man at his wedding. This will be one of those HUGE SERBIAN funerals. The man was well liked, well known and a big business man. Choir will be singing responses for the memorial service tonight and in church tomorrow.
Sure hope the snow stops by the time we have to leave tonight.

DAVE Posted: After your egg story and picture K2, I guess the "yolk" is on you.
I got a chuckle out of that one! And guess what.... I soaked the pot and washed it this morning and IT'S FINE. The Teflon coating is still good. AMAZING.

Later gang.

LEE: This vacation is defiantly NOT CHEAP! Glad the insurance is in place.
