Kathi, thanks for the update on Dave, sure hope he gets sprung soon!

Kathie, great pic's of Eric, he sure did grow up fast!

Mike, don't blame you for not painting anymore, it always seems like a good idea to me until I get started and remember what a pain in the tush it is!

Lee, seems like winter arrived a bit early to Canada this year. We had a bit of an overcast day, but the temps were mild. Hopefully that will still be the case when you arrive here.

Long day at church today, but it went by fast. We had a break between 12-2:30 and 6 of us from choir went to lunch. The restaurant was packed and we ended up waiting about 30 mins. to get seated. Luckily the choir director was with us so we knew he wouldn't start without us! Had a nice turn out for the Advent lessons & Carols program which made the long day & all the work worth it. Have a great rest of your evening all!

Hmmm. I hope Kathi busted our Dave out and he’s sleeping in in the comfort of his own bed.
It sounds like you enjoyed your long day at church Karen. You had mentioned you were expecting it though. I think because last winter was so very mild here the early snippets of below seasonal temperatures have taken everyone by surprise. Ava and I did go out this morning for our early walk. It was a foggy 42F at 6:15.
Canada Post has been ordered back to work by the government. Sadly it’s too little too late for many charities and small business owners who have lost access to their busiest mailing times of the year.
Today is soup day / gift exchange with the gang. We’re making butternut squash soup. There will be lots of soup to taste from everyone.
Friends, you all have a great day ‘cause you know I’ll be back to check.

Nurse told Dave the urologist will come and then talk to the committee (a group of doctors) to decide

Ok Lee, waiting to see if your first reaction to "the committee" was the same as mine

Have a good day.

KATHI..... thanks again for the update. Well, I hope the COMMITTEE does a group PEE and let's our boy go home. But, I'm sure they have their reasons for making sure he can PEE! Gotta have those Kidneys working or he'll just end up with a UTI and be back in the hospital.
Take care and bring him a BEER. That always make me PEE! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Lee: SOUP DAY at your place is always fun to read about. And I love Squash soup w/ a shake of Nutmeg on top! Have fun.

Karen: You sure did have a LONGGGG full day at church and afterwards. What did you ever do with your time before you found this church?? :emoticon 0115 inlove::angel2:

Nothing more to say folks. I need to run over to Krogers for EGGS of all things and hope they're not out of them like last week.

Later gang.

I believe that the duck billed platypus was designed by a committee Kathi. And we all know how that creation turned out!

Soup day is at one of the other folks homes Kathie. We’re hosting Christmas dinner this year. Still should be good though.
Speaking of…I best get my butt in gear.

Painting is done in bathroom.
Light fixture is back up.
Need to figure out what to do with the wood cabinet and
the small wooden linen/medicine cabinet.
We'll most likely PAINT it with the same stuff we used to paint the other bathroom cabinets.
Work out really nice.

Art got his HEAD DUG OUT this morning. Gets the stitches out next week Monday.

Always Something!

Off to rest my feet. I think a nice glass of wine is in order.

Be good Wrabbits!

By the way, NANCY McKenna said to pass on her Christmas wishes to all of us. She said the
Bunny we gave her is on a shelf in her room with "Tony" right next to it.

Kc, the reason I don't paint amy more is I don;t see that well and miss too many spots.
Welcome home Dave.
I have heard if one doesn't want an answer to something, assign a committee to get the answer.
I hope you enjoyed your soup Lee.
Thanks for t he note from Nancy K2

I’m just savin’ a spot “on stage” here for Dave’s triumphant return to a packed house.

Hope you’re starting to feel a whole lot better! Kathi did a great job keeping us in the loop
.
Four different soups Mike. They were all good.
Kathie, thank you for sharing the message from Nancy. I miss Tony and hearing about his and Nancy’s adventures with the family. Cudos to Art for getting his noggin dug and finishing up the bathroom!
Looks like I missed you by a scant minute yesterday Karen.
After a wet, 50F day yesterday the chill is below freezing again this morning.
Coffee anyone?

41F here in Macomb, MI right now. Last night we got up to 50F. Crazy weather.

Can't wait to hear from our Fr Dave. Wonder if he'll have some good "hospital" stories for us. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Good Morning Love GIF by ircha_gram
Enjoy your cup of coffee folks.

Yup, it's early for me. Just couldn't sleep any longer this morning.

Art had a "painful" night. Got up in the middle of the night and took 2 Tylenol and said it helped. They must have dug deeper than usual. He was still hurting, just not as bad, when I decided to bail out of the bed. Hope things get better later on in the day.

Lee: Good to know the SOUP FEST was a hit. We did that one year and it was a fun evening. I wish our friends lived closer so we could try it again. I think it would have to be a AFTERNOON Soup-Lunch. A lot of our friends don't drive at night any more.

Hello to Karen, Mike & Fay.

I smell the coffee and need to get my morning fix. LATER GANG.

Good Morning Bunnies!

And it IS a good morning. Feeling real good this morning with Fuzzbutt on the floor beside me. A lot better than I expected to feel. Nothing really hurts, and the sun is coming out.

Of course I'm running slow. And I really look charming with the urine bag hanging off my leg. :) But that too will hopefully clear up too.

We got home last night, about 5 hours later than they said I'd be released. Don't matter. I'm home. Last night I slept more than I had in the whole previous week.

Nice people at that hospital. Decent food and even Starbucks coffee.

Brought my "luggage" home. A dozen medications to take every day. :)

It sure is nice to be home in a familiar location. Moving around untethered to a bed. With all the hoses I was hooked up to, I couldn't get farther than 4 feet from the bed.

FREEDOM!!!!!! SOO NICE!

So I'm having a happy day. I feel so lucky.

Missed you guys!

WELCOME HOME DAVE!

Dave, awesome coming on here & seeing a post from you today! Just being home with Kathi & the pups has got to be good medicine!

Kathie, ouch, poor Art hope the pain from his "cuttings" goes away soon. I have a dermo appt. on Thurs. and hoping she doesn't find anything to cut or zap.

Lee, a soup supper sounds like a nice cozy way to spend the evening, never had squash soup but it sounds tasty!

Mike, yeah, not being able to see would be a really big deterrent to painting. My sister tells me I don't roll paint I "sling" paint, I do tend to get a bit messy.

Got my passport renewal sent off this morning. Got to Post office early & the lady told me there was another appointment in front of me, I said no problem I'd just hang out & wait. About 5 mins. later she said she'd just go ahead & take my picture. So she took my pic, reviewed my passport application and finished everything up so I was leaving at about the time my appt. was supposed to be,AND no one came in during that time for a passport photo, guess they were running late.

Meeting Barb, Wendy & her daughter Linda tonight for dinner & then Barb is going to drive around to look at Christmas lights. Jane was planning to come to but is having a bit of tummy problems and decided to sta home.
That's about all the happenings from beautiful Belleview, talk with you all tomorrow, 1 week from today is Christmas Eve, where did the year go???

Just like every one else here Dave, I am ver;y glad you are home. I'm glad there is no pain.
I hope you enjoy the diiner tonight Kc, meeting with friends always makes the meals taste better. Sling paint, roll paint, push the brush, what ever gets it done.
K2, sorry about Art having a bad night. As you said, they must have gone deeper than expected. Enjoy your cup of coffee, I'm going to get mine in 10-15 minutes.
Lee, I'm glad the soup was good. I'm pretty sure you got your share of it.
Fay is out running errands for me again today. She was out this morning, now again for me picking up different meds. she is always going to the Dr.s. either taking me or going for herself. She has an appt. with her heart dr. next week

Good Wednesday Morning you cute, furry, little critters!

Sometimes it just sucks to be an astronaut. Remember those 2 astronauts who's spaceship wasn't working well and NASA sent that spaceship back to earth from the international space station without the 2 astronauts? Turning a one week flight into about a 10 month flight. And now they've just extended it a couple months longer. Sure hope they are getting overtime up there. :)

Here's an idea KC, since you "sling paint" instead of just rolling it. Next time you paint something, put 2 or 3 blank, white canvases on the floor near where you are painting. Sign them at the bottom, frame them, then sell your "art" at the next garage or yard sale. I'd bet that you'd sell some.

Lee; I think I dated that platypus you posted the picture of. I thought she was cute.......Well, after a lot of beers she was.

Mike; You and me are so lucky to have wives that will run errands for us. I know I won't be going out in public till the day after Christmas. That's the day the doctor will be pulling out my catheter to test my ability to pee on my own.

How's Art's noggin doing, K2? Hope your morning coffee is better than what I made yesterday morning. I made a fresh pot of coffee, but Kathi and I got involved in a movie, and so it sat on the machine for a couple of hours just cooking down, because I forgot about it. Had to pitch the whole thing. (More profits for Maxwell House.)

Oh, don't worry about me keeping hydrated and clearing out my kidneys. I kicked out over 4,000 CCs of pee yesterday.

For the next week it's going to be soggy with a cold front coming through. At best only hitting the mid 30's. Sorry kids, still a very low chance of having a white Christmas.

…AND DAVE AND HIS OBSERVATIONS AND SENSE OF HUMOUR ARE BACK! GEEZ, I MISSED THAT.
Looks like we’re in for about a half inch of snow throughout the morning. Oh well. It’ll be gone by the weekend.

We went out for dinner last night with neighbours. I hadn’t had a good Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich for ages. I still haven’t. None of us were impressed with our meals or the scatter brained young fella pretending to be a server. Won’t be gracing the threshold of any Chuck’s Roadhouse locations any time soon. But the company and conversation were good.
We all had lots of soup Mike. We rinse our bowls after each kind and move on to the next. Everyone gats a good helping by the time we’re done.
It‘s always good when an employee uses common sense Karen. You were there and ready to go so it made good sense to take care of you. How was the Christmas light tour? I like Dave’s idea for original artwork by you!
How did Art feel as the day wore on Kathie? And how was that coffee?
We’re trying to get ahead on our trip south. Meds, travel insurance, dog food and so on. The receptionist at the doctor’s office called about a refill for me that the pharmacy had sent over. By over I mean about 25 feet down the hall. I asked Abby about one for Lu-Ann while I had her on the phone. I checked online a bit later and somehow Lu-Ann’s meds were on my file!! I let the pharmacy know and now I have to call Abby to get her to have the doctor straighten it all out. I fear this new receptionist is related to last night’s waiter.
Anyway, you all have a fantastic Wednesday!
